    W pracy przedstawiono możliwości wykorzystania systemów GIS (Geographic Information System) w celu ułatwienia zarządzaniem łańcuchem dostaw. Autorzy zwracają uwagę na trudności z kontrolowaniem i optymalizacją coraz bardziej skomplikowanych procesów logistycznych. Opisano historię powstania i rozwoju systemów oraz dwa rozszerzenia oprogramowania ArcGIS, które mogą być użyteczne w procesie planowania i optymalizacji logistycznej. Zaprezentowano cel zastosowania rozszerzeń ArcGIS Network Analyst oraz Spatial Analyst, które pozwalają, między innymi na optymalizację tras dostaw, uwzględniając czynniki takie jak czas podróży, ukształtowanie terenu, koszty transportu oraz przeprowadzanie analiz przestrzennych, w celu zidentyfikowania najlepszych miejsc do zlokalizowania magazynów i centrów dystrybucji. Wykorzystując dostępną literaturę oraz informacje udostępnione przez firmę Esri Polska, opisano najważniejsze zagadnienia związane z łańcuchem dostaw oraz obszarem działania systemów. Głównym spostrzeżeniem jest szerokie pole zastosowań tych systemów, co pozwala na skorzystanie z nich przez wiele odrębnych od siebie branży. Jednakże, aby w pełni wykorzystać potencjał systemów GIS, konieczne jest odpowiednie zaprojektowanie systemu oraz zapewnienie odpowiedniego szkolenia dla pracowników.
    The paper presents the posibilities of using GIS (Geographic Information System) in order to improve effieciency in the supply chain. The authors draw attention to the difficulties of controling and optimazing increasingly complex ligistics processes. The history of the creation and development of systems is describe, as well as two extentions of ArcGIS software, which can be useful in the process of planning and optimazing Logistics. The aim of using the ArcGIS Network Analyst and Spatial Analyst extentions is presented, which allow, among other things, for the optimization of delivery routes, taking into account factors such as travel time, terrain, transport costs and identyfing the best locations for warehouses and distribution centres. Using available literature and information provided by Esri Polska, the most important issues related to the supply chain and the scope of the systems are described. The main observation is the wide range of applications of these systems, which allows many separete industries to benefit from tchem. However, to fully utilize the potntial of GIS systems, it is necessary to design the system properly and provide appropriate traning for employees.

    The aim of this article is to present various ways of using phone interviews, a method based on the scheme of an individual questionnaire interview by phone, in the research conducted in social science. Therefore, the article discusses the following: the history of phone usage in scientific research, the main features of a phone interview, phone interview varieties, such as Computer-Assisted Cell-phone Interview, Computer-Assisted Self Interview, or Computer-Assisted Cell-phone Interview, different ways of organizing and conducting research, and the advantages and disadvantages of phone interviews. The possibility of using phone interviews in political research is also discussed.

    The article presents the results of numerical simulations using the FEM (Finite Element Method) of the engine mount strength for mounting an aircraft diesel engine with opposite pistons called PZL-100. Four versions of the mount prepared by aircraft engine producer WSK "PZL-Kalisz" company were analyzed. Tests were performed in Catia v5 software in the Generative Structure Analysis module. The boundary conditions were engine gravity force, propeller thrust force, and propeller torque. S235JR steel was defined as the material. A design grid with tetrahedral elements with a single element size of 2 mm was used. As part of the simulation study, four structural solutions for the test engine mounts were calculated in terms of strength. The results of stress maps and the magnitude of deformation of the mount elements were compared. Based on the obtained results, one of the mount versions was recommended for actual fabrication.

    The article discusses transformations of political science studies in Poland in the last two decades. The emphasis is put on the changes that took place in higher education system and in political science itself, as well as on the fact that the number of political science higher education institutions is increasing together with the number of candidates for the studies, political science students and graduates. The condition of political science studies is compared to the condition of other, selected faculties. Data presented in this article shows that political science, as a faculty, recently underwent rapid changes. Fast increase in the number of students in the 90’, as well as in the number of educational institutions at the beginning of the XXI century caused political science to become one of the most popular faculties in Poland. However, in the past few years the total number of students has been decreasing, political science students included. This change is significant enough to have an influence on the condition of educational institutions, many of which face difficulties maintain the faculty. What is important, these changes seem to be independent of the tendency observed in higher education in Poland in general, as well as other faculties.
    Artykuł przedstawia przekształcenia studiów politologicznych w Polsce w ostatnich dwudziestu latach z uwzględnieniem: zmian w zakresie sektora szkolnictwa wyższego i nauki w Polsce, przyrostu ośrodków kształcenia politologicznego, liczby studentów, absolwentów oraz kandydatów na studia politologiczne. Dane na temat politologii są analizowane na tle innych, wybranych kierunków. Prezentowane informacje nie pozostawiają wątpliwości, że politologia, jako kierunek studiów, przeszła w ostatnich latach gwałtowne zmiany. Szybki przyrost studentów pod koniec lat 90. oraz ośrodków kształcenia na początku XXI wieku, uczynił z politologii jeden z najliczniejszych kierunków studiów w kraju. W ostatnich latach następuje jednak systematyczny spadek liczebności studentów, jednocześnie notuje się spadek zainteresowania kandydatów studiami politologicznymi. Zmiany te są na tyle duże, że nie pozostały bez wpływu na kondycję ośrodków kształcenia politologicznego, z których wiele przeżywa kłopoty z uruchomieniem studiów. Co ważne, zmiany te wydają się niezależne od tendencji dla studiów wyższych w Polsce w ogóle, jak i dla wybranych kierunków studiów.

    Background. Practical PE teacher training during school placements is an important part of the process of education of physical education students and have a large impact on their preparation for the profession and the quality of teacher’s work. The quality of students’ practical teacher training is reflected in the standard of PE classes run at school and children’s participation in these classes. Therefore, many studies deal with this topic. There are also projects which aim to improve the organization of students’ teacher training in physical education. This paper presents the main weaknesses and challenges of practical school placement systems and a variety of solutions already implemented in Poland and other countries in Europe and the United States. Material and methods. In this article the computer-based literature search was conducted in the following databases: EBSCOHost, PubMed, Science Direct, ScienceDirect On Line. Also manual search of all available issues of pertinent journals was carried out. Results. The findings suggest that there is too little involvement of university teachers in the practical school placements. Conclusions. There is the need to improve cooperation between university teachers and the physical education teachers during physical education teacher training.

    The paper presents selected case studies in the area of research and teaching activities focused on technical assemblies. The aim of the work is to discuss the current trends in assembly-related research activities in partner universities of the EDURES project and to present teaching methodology related to the research. Due to the great importance of research-based education for innovative teaching methodology, research utilization into teaching process is addressed in the paper as a priority of modern teaching, which uses digital platforms and is focused on fast dissemination of the research results among both researchers and higher education students.
    Artykuł przedstawia wybrane zagadnienia dotyczące problematyki złożeń w obszarze badań i nauczania. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie bieżących trendów badawczych dotyczących złożeń, które istnieją w uczelniach partnerskich projektu EDURES i metodyki nauczania w tym zakresie. W artykule podkreślono duże znaczenie edukacji opartej na badaniach naukowych oraz wykorzystania różnych platform cyfrowych i szybkiego upowszechniania wyników badań zarówno wśród badaczy jak i studentów uczelni wyższych.
