Opis:
In the paper the results of the reliability investigation of multi-state homogeneous parallel-series systems with independent and dependent components are presented. The multi-state reliability functions of such systems and other reliability characteristics in both cases are determined under the assumption that their components have exponential reliability function. Moreover the asymptotic approach to the reliability evaluation of these systems is also presented and the classes of limit reliability functions for the considered systems in both cases are fixed. Finally, the presented theoretical results are applied to the reliability evaluation of the shipyard rope transportation system. The comparison of the multi-state exact and limit reliability functions of the considered transportation system under the assumption that its components are independent and under the assumption that its components have failure dependency is performed and illustrated graphically.

Opis:
Wnioski i uwagi końcowe wytyczają dalszy kierunek prac.
Maritime transport is of great importance as it is the basis of international trade. Together with the growth of maritime traffic intensity the need of further safety development at sea is increasing. In the paper the model describing ships' motion at routes crossing in terms of operational reliability is presented. There are considered classical ship routes' crossing and roundabout with two vessel priority scenarios. One assuming priority of vessel being on starboard and second assuming priority of vessel being on the roundabout. The system is discussed as a multistate model with reliability state and unreliability state with ignored and non-ignored time of renovation. In the paper for the description of ships motion the simple cellular automaton model, that provides the basis for the simulation, is applied. The motion of the ship is determined by its direction, velocity and length of the ship. The traffic lanes are divided into cells. The length of the cell depends on the flows' intensities, vessels' velocities and size. The simulation is performed on account of traffic flow intensity changing and statistical analysis of simulation results is given. Final conclusion and remarks outline further work development.

Opis:
In the paper optimization of operation process and maximization of safety lifetimes for interconnected and interdependent critical infrastructure (CI) networks at variable operation conditions related to the climateweather change are proposed. A multistate series network with assets dependent according to local load sharing (LLS) rule is analyzed and optimization of operation and safety of CI network with the LLS rule is introduced. For such CI network, the optimal transient probabilities of CI network operation process at operation states related to climate-weather change that maximize the mean value of CI network safety lifetimes are found. Finally, the optimal safety and resilience indicators of CI network are presented.

In the paper there is presented the computer program for reliability analysis of complex technical systems with reserved and improved components along with computer program description and application. The computer program allows for automatic reliability characteristics prediction of the improved complex technical systems with hot and cold single reservation of their components and of the improved complex technical systems with reduced intensities of departure from the reliability state subsets of their components. Under the assumption that system components have exponential reliability functions, the unconditional reliability function, the mean values and standard deviations of the unconditional lifetimes in the reliability state subsets and in particular reliability states, the system risk function and the moment when the system risk exceeds a permitted level of the complex technical systems before and after their improvement are determined.

In this paper we consider dependent Critical Infrastructures (CI) at variable operation conditions and present multistate approach to their safety analysis. The safety of dependent Critical Infrastructures at variable operation conditions is described. The local, equal and mixed load sharing models of dependency subjected to the operation process are introduced. The conditional safety functions at the particular operation states and the unconditional safety functions of a multistate series network with dependent assets, with dependent subnetworks and with dependent assets of its subnetworks according to LLS, ELS and MLS rules are determined. Furthermore, the all models of dependency are applied to safety analysis of a multistate parallel and “m out of n” network with dependent assets, parallel-series and “m out of l”-series network with dependent assets of their subnetworks at variable operation conditions.

Proposed theoretical models of dependency are applied to the safety analysis of the exemplary electricity network. Finally, the obtained results are compared with results for the considered electricity network without assumption about dependencies between assets and subnetworks.
