Opis:
The article presents the organization of information structures for the needs of a complex, multi-faceted (multi-methodical) decision analysis, the subject of which is a certain category of objects. The focus is on the discussion of the transformation of the information structure of partial mathematical models, reflecting the objects of analysis, to the form of records of the database and on their connection into a more complex structure, so-called multi-model, in order to subject the method of multi-criteria optimization to calculations. There was also mentioned the possibility of transformation of these complex structures from data records to a simple, tabular form transferred on the inputs of method: AHP, Electre Tri, econometric analysis and induction of decision rules.

Opis:
A multimethod approach to the multicriteria analysis and assessment of objects (rankings, grouping, econometric assessments) have been presented. This issue is a field of research and engineering associated with the construction and application of a computerized decision support system (DSS 2.0). In terms of the proposed approach, the functionality of the developed prototype has been illustrated based on a practical example of the assessment of employees and the analysis of remuneration. The Electre TRI method of grouping derived from a relational model complements ranking methods well (e.g., AHP) based on the functional model. Grouping reveals cases, where all or the vast majority of objects in a ranking were clustered within one class (e.g., in the best or the worst one).

Opis:
Within this work we present a first experimental setup of a high-resolution real-timecapable 3D sonar camera system for deep sea operation. Since we are currently in the development process, the focus of this work is on the transmission aspects of the camera. Following publications will include the receiving aspects as well as the first phantom reconstructions. The system consists of a 1024 element matrix array antenna, together with a 128 channel beamforming system including a 1:8 multiplexing device for each channel. The camera is supposed to deliver volumetric images within a range of up to 15 m in a deep sea environment up to 6000 m depth. The antenna provides the advantage of an adjustable defocused transmitting sound field. This allows dynamic control of the field of view, and an increase of the image contrast for a specific region.

Palaeomagnetic research on the lower and middle Buntsandstein section of the Gorzów Wielkopolski IG 1 borehole, located in middle western Poland, showed the possibility of existence of short reversed subzones within the first normal polarity zone of the lowermost Buntsandstein (magnetozone Tbn1). The earlier established magnetozones Tbn2 and Tbn4 were not detected. The stratigraphic gap between the middle and upper Buntsandstein included at least magnetozones Tbn6 and Tbr6. The magnetostratigraphic correlation between the investigated section and the Otyń IG1 section indicates a substantial diachronism of palynostratigraphic zones based on macrospores in the lowermost and middle Buntsandstein.

Opis:
The team of authors is engaged in the IMO corresponding group on INS / Alert Management and in national task groups primarily specialising in “Navigational Alert Management” matters. This presentation is based on the outcome of serious discussions carried out at different work group sessions in Germany and has been widely used as a guideline when details of an Alert Management concept are analysed (e.g. alert related communication and de-escalation strategies). A separate paragraph of definitions within this presentation describes “Function Alerts” which are not relevant for the navigational tasks carried out by the officer of the watch. Alerts appear to be nonrelevant became the subject under discussion whether their announcement should be automatically filtered out by a navigational module within an INS. This could be one effective method of resolution to minimise (the number of high priority) alerts.

GPS observations are still intluenced by a whole amount of effects, as for example multiple reflections, ionosphere etc. which have an impact on the accuracy of the observables even on carefully selected sites. Up to now these effects can not be mitigated or modelled satisfactorily. Hence the monitoring of these station specific effects is mandatory in order to judge about data quality and derive weighting or deletion schemes for optimal parameter estimation. Within the tasks of the work package 4 of the Central Europe Geodynamics Project (CERGOP), a software tool was developed to monitor the continuously operating reference stations of the network. The development was carried out using C++ libraries available for the most common operating systems. Here we describe the basic features of this package and give an overview of its present status.

Opis:
Studies that have recently been carried out by the Polish Geological Survey aim at, among others, deepening and supplementing the knowledge of unconventional hydrocarbon systems in Poland, including petroleum systems of the lower Palaeozoic in the Polish part of the East European Craton and of the Carboniferous in the South-Western Poland. The article presents the main principles and objectives of the research and the results of the project titled “Identification of prospective zones for unconventional hydrocarbon accumulations in Poland, stageI”,which is the only project that uses a wide range of recently conducted regional geology research and laboratory analyses, integrated with geological information derived from newly drilled boreholes. Geological constraints for the occurrence of unconventional hydrocarbon deposits in the Cambrian, Ordovician Silurian and Carboniferous rocks are presented. What is emphasized is the need to continue the work and to extend it to new research directions aimed at petroleum system modelling (e.g.burial history and analysis of hydrocarbon generation), and the need to refine and clarify some of the results obtained, supplementing them with an analysis of the latest data from newly drilled boreholes.

The paper presents results of studies on extracting properties of neodecanoic acid (Versatic 10) solutions. Neodecanoic acid was diluted in Exxsol D80 AZ to three concentrations: 7.5, 15, and 30 % (v/v). Tests were conducted using sulphate(VI) solutions of six ions: Zn(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Co(II), Cd(II), Mn(II) and a nitrate(V) solution of Pb(II). All the aqueous solutions were prepared as 0.1 M concentration. For all combinations of the used solutions (organic and aqueous), direct methods of measuring and recording the pH of the biphasic mixture have been applied. The degrees of ions extraction, depending on equilibrium pH were also presented in the paper. Extraction and stripping isotherms of selected ions and organic phase were plotted for 7.5 and 30 % (v/v) of extractant solutions and Zn(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) ions.

Extraction times for selected metal cations (Mg2+, Al3+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Co2+, Mn2+, Fe2+ and Fe3+) have been measured using cation-exchanging extractants - Versatic 10 (neodecanoic acid), DEHPA (bis(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid) and Cyanex 272 (bis(2,4,4-trimetylpentyl)phosphinic acid). Data was collected directly by measuring and recording pH of the two phase reaction mixture with maintaining continuity of the aqueous phase. Similarly, the stripping rate of selected cations (Mg2+, Al3+, Zn2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Co2+) in a sulphuric acid solution was measured. Viscosities of organic phases, saturated with cations, were measured before their stripping. Additionally, the extraction dependence of Mg2+, Al3+, Fe2+ and Fe3+ on pH was measured using Versatic 10 at various concentrations (7.5, 15 and 30 %).

Opis:
The microstructure of an aluminum alloy containing 53 wt% Zn, 2.1 wt% Mg and 1.3 wt% Cu as main alloying elements has been studied with the focus on the precipitation behavior during the spark plasma sintering process. The starting material was an atomized Al-Zn-Mg-Cu powder with the particle size below 50 μm. The particles showed a solidification microstructure from cellular to columnar or equiaxed dendritic morphology with a large fraction of the alloying elements segregated in form of intermetallic phases, mainly (Zn,Al,Cu)₄₉Mg₃₂ and Mg₂(Zn,Al,Cu)₁₁, at the cell and dendrite boundaries. The microstructure of the sintered specimens followed the microstructure of the initial powder. However, Mg(Zn,Al,Cu)₂ precipitates evolve at the expense of the initial precipitate phases. The precipitates which were initially continuously distributed along the intercellular and interdendritic boundaries form discrete chain-like structures in the sintered samples. Additionally, fine precipitates created during the sintering process evolve at the new low-angle boundaries. The large fraction of precipitates at the grain boundaries and especially at the former particle boundaries could not be solved into the matrix applying a usual solid solution heat treatment. A bending test reveals low ductility and strength. The mechanical properties suffer from the precipitates at former particle boundaries leading to fracture after an outer fiber tensile strain of 3.8%.

Opis:
Reliable knowledge of a ship’s position and movement in relation to other traffic participants and obstacles is a fundamental requirement for navigation and avoiding collisions and groundings. Consequently, the onboard provision of resilient position, navigation and time data (PNT) is emphasized by the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) e-navigation strategy, solution S3 “Improved reliability, resilience and integrity of bridge equipment and navigation information” and by the assigned risk control option RCO5 “Improved reliability and resilience of onboard PNT systems”. An initial step towards resilient PNT has been realized by the maritime community with the development of the performance standards for shipborne multi-system radionavigation receiver equipment (MRR). This MRR performance standard (PS) supports the full use of data coming from current and future radionavigation systems and services. Consequently, the combined use of several global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) and the additional use of space based augmentation systems (SBAS) as well as optional terrestrial radionavigation systems (e.g. eLoran or R-Mode) will be supported to increase the performance of positioning and timing. As a second step, the development of guidelines for an onboard PNT (data processing) unit has been identified as supplementary and necessary. The starting point is the onboard use of a combination of GNSS receivers and autarkic systems (e.g. radar, gyro, echosounders with bathymetric data) for a comprehensive provision of required PNT data. Redundancy in the available data enables the application of integrity monitoring functions to evaluate the current usability of safety-critical data and components. The aim of the guidelines is the specification of data processing rules towards the resilient provision of standardized PNT data and integrity information. For this purpose, a modular architecture for an onboard PNT system is introduced and scaled to the need for data input as well as the performance of data output.

W Instytucie Nauk Geologicznych Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego opracowano numeryczny model hydrogeologiczny 3D (regionalny), uwzględniający strefę oddziaływania górnictwa rud miedzi LGOM. Stworzony i przetestowany szczegółowy model hydrogeologiczny obejmuje swym zasięgiem powierzchnię 3049 km2, w tym obszary górnicze KGHM Polska Miedź (650 km2). Zbudowany model ma za zadanie przeprowadzenie weryfikacji struktury hydrogeologicznej, rozpoznanie i ustalenie danych ilościowych systemu krążenia wód podziemnych, określenie zmian warunków przepływu wód podziemnych w trakcie prowadzonej eksploatacji złoża a w konsekwencji ustalenie bilansów wód podziemnych modelowanych poziomów wodonośnych oraz ocenę ilościową dopływów kopalnianych na podstawie uzyskanego odwzorowania hydrodynamiki systemu. W efekcie końcowym uaktualniany model posłuży do wykonania symulacji prognostycznych w nawiązaniu do przewidywanego rozwoju obszarów wyrobisk górniczych. W artykule przedstawiono model koncepcyjny systemu hydrogeologicznego badanego obszaru. Stanowił on zakończenie wstępnych etapów prac oraz podstawę przy konstruowaniu modelu numerycznego.
3D numerical hydrogeological regional model has been developed in the Institute of Geological Sciences, University of Wrocław. The model takes into account the impact zone of copper ore mines Lubin-Głogów Ore District (LGOM). Detailed hydrogeological model has been created and tested covered area of 3049 km2 (in this the mining areas KGHM covered 650 km2). Built model is designed to verify hydrogeological structure, identification and determination of groundwater circulation system, to determine changes in groundwater flow during exploitation of the deposit. As a result developed model can determine groundwater balance and groundwater inflow to the mine based on the obtained image hydrodynamics of the system.
