    Opis:
    The purpose of this article is to verify whether income inequality impedes the accumulation of human capital in OECD countries during the years of 1990–2010. The article reviews theoretical findings that suggest a negative impact of income dispersions on human capital, and subsequently, it presents estimations of a dynamic model of human capital accumulation. The results of the study reveal a negative and statistically significant relationship between income inequality and human capital inflow measured as student skills test scores.

    Abstract Fast method of measurement of radon concentration in water based on flushing (bubbling) water sample with air in closed loop with Lucas cell is presented. The main feature of the method is washing radon from large sample of water to small volume of air including the volume of Lucas cell, thanks to which high radon concentration in the air and considerable sensitivity of measurement is achieved. Estimated measuring sensitivity is S = 8.5 cpm/(Bq/dm3). Random error due to statistical fluctuations of count rate at radon concentration 1, 100, 10 000 Bq/dm3 is: 11, 1.1, 0.1% correspondingly at counting (measuring) time 10 min. Minimum detectable radon concentration in water for such counting time is 0.11 Bq/dm3.

    . A single scintillation cell (ö 54 × 74 mm) is used for the measurement of radon and thoron. The radon and thoron laden air is filtered and forced to flow at 1 dm3/min through the scintillation cell in the period of 1 10 min. The count number from alpha radiation is registered in the periods of 3 10 min and 20 30 min. Two values of detection and deposition efficiency of alpha radiation are used for radon (at air flow and air at rest in the cell) and for thoron. Measurements of radon laden air and thoron laden air showed good agreement between the reference concentration and the measured concentration, not worse than 1% for radon and not worse than 2% for thoron. Combination of radon + thoron concentration showed also a small interference ("cross talk") not worse than 1%.

    Opis:
    LG Gamma Counter is designed for low activity measurement of the radioactive isotope iodine 125I in liquid or solid samples during radioimmunoassay (RIA) and immunoradiometric assay (IRMA) in small or medium size clinic laboratories. Apart from RIA and IRMA programmed procedures, a measurement of small activity gamma samples is possible. The well scintillator NaI(Tl) is used as radiation detector for the isotope 125 I in the measuring channel, the well dimensions fi being 17 x 38 mm. Gamma Counter was adapted for measuring radioactivity of single samples. The counter is equipped with an automatic system allowing transportation of examined samples to a scintillator well. The gauge is based on an integrated computer which is working under the control of Windows CE and is equipped with special software allowing for setting measurement parameters and communication with an external computer. The measured sample is placed inside the scintillator well either by an automatic sample feeder or manually. The pulses from a photomultiplier tube after amplification and shaping in pulse amplifiers are counted in the window of a single channel analyser by a programmable pulse counter under the control of microprocessor system. The measured count rate is the measure of activity of the assayed sample. Expected count rate error due to unstable operation of amplification is lower than 1%.

    Artykuł został poświęcony ocenie wpływu ruchu nadkładu wydobytych złóż minerałów użytkowych na obiekty budowlane znajdujące się na powierzchni ziemi, konkretnie wpływ wydobycia przodku wybierkowego Nr. 063 541 w obszarze górniczym "Staríc" na czteropasmową autostradę R 56 z Ostrawy do Frýdku-Místku. W celu monitorowania tych efektów została wybudowana stacja obserwacyjna, przy pomocy której wykonywano pomiary. Do stworzenia takiej stacji oraz do oceny uzyskanych pomiarów został zastosowany program SUBSCH, który pozwala na obliczenie osiadań (pionowego i poziomego), upadu, promienia krzywizny i poziomych przekształceń, w określonych przedziałach czasowych.
    The paper deals with effect of hanging wall movement of over mined deposits of economic minerals upon the Earth surface objects, specially the mining effect of the face 063 541 in mining area "Staríc" upon R 56 fourlane highway between Ostrava and Frýdek-Místek,CZE. The observation station has been established and measurement for monitoring the effect upon it was done. SUBSCH software was used to establish the observation station and to evaluate resultes. Subsidence, horizontal movement, denivelation, curvature radius and horizontal deformation for given instant time can be calculated in this software.
