    This paper reviews the most important ways to improve the reliability of supply of consumers, i.e. the increase in the number of directions of supply, use of grid and system automatic controls, and installation of distributed generation sources. The order of priority of municipal loads in terms of electricity and heat supply continuity is then analysed. The concept of so-called energy mini centres containing important loads and distributed generation sources for the supply of these loads connected to medium and low voltage grids is presented in detail. Practical examples of the distributed generation solutions applied in a Silesian municipality are also given. The reliability of selected objects was evaluated using the NIEZ method developed at the Institute of Power Engineering and Control Systems of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice.
    W artykule dokonano przeglądu najważniejszych sposobów poprawy niezawodności zasilania odbiorców, tj.: zwiększenia liczby kierunków zasilania, zastosowania układów automatyki sieciowej i systemowej oraz instalowania źródeł generacji rozproszonej. Następnie przeanalizowano hierarchię ważności gminnych odbiorów komunalnych ze względu na ciągłość zasilania w energię elektryczną i cieplną. Szczegółowo przedstawiono koncepcję tzw. minicentrów energetycznych, zawierających ważne odbiory oraz źródła generacji rozproszonej dla zasilania tych odbiorów, usytuowanych w sieci średniego i niskiego napięcia. Podano również praktyczne przykłady rozwiązań w obszarze generacji rozproszonej, zastosowanych w jednej ze śląskich gmin. Ocenę niezawodności wybranych obiektów przeprowadzono metodą NIEZ opracowaną w Instytucie Elektroenergetyki i Sterowania Układów Politechniki Śląskiej w Gliwicach.

    This paper presents an analysis of the location capabilities of non-renewable energy sources (natural gas) as well as renewable energy (biogas, methane, solar and water) in a selected community. An assessment of energy supply end user – large load municipal communities are presented. Implementation plans of the energy mini centres in the Gierałtowice commune are shown, which using biogas, methane from agricultural and wind, as well as the practical tests of working these mini centres. Problems that Gierałtowice commune encountered while working on the implementation of energy investments, the directions of the solutions and the prospect of further investment were discussed.
    W artykule przeprowadzono analizę możliwości lokalizacji źródeł energii nieodnawialnej (gaz ziemny), jak również odnawialnej (biogazowe, metanowe, słoneczne i wodne) w wybranej gminie. Dokonano oceny zasilania odbiorców końcowych energii, dużych odbiorów komunalnych gmin. Przedstawiono plany wdrożenia minicentrów energetycznych w gminie Gierałtowice z wykorzystaniem biogazu, metanu pochodzenia rolniczego i wiatru oraz praktyczne testy pracy minicentrów. Przedyskutowano problemy, z którymi gmina Gierałtowice spotkała się w czasie prac nad wdrożeniem inwestycji energetycznych, kierunkami przyjętych rozwiązań oraz perspektywą kolejnych inwestycji.

    W artykule przedstawiono jedną z najbardziej aktualnych metod i program obliczeniowy do oceny niezawodności zasilania odbiorców z sieci średnich napięć w kraju. Jest to rozszerzenie metody i programu NIEZ, opracowanych w IESU dla sieci przesyłowej WN i 110 kV. Przedstawiono główne założenia metody oraz modelu obliczeniowego, a także przykładowe wyniki obliczeń dla modelowego fragmentu sieci średniego napięcia.
    This article presents one of the most current methods and a computer program for evaluation of the reliability of power supply of recipients in middle voltage grids in the country. It is an extension of the NIEZ method and program, developed at the Power Engineering Institute of the Silesian University of Technology for the HV and 110 kV transmission grid. The main assumptions of the method and computational model, as well as exemplary calculation results for a medium voltage grid model section, are presented.

    Introduction. Currently, nearly 23,000 cases of lung cancer are diagnosed in Poland annually, of which 5% are cases with rearrangements in the ALK gene. In recent years, tremendous progress has been made in understanding the genetic makeup of this type of cancer, which has enabled the use of new therapies, in particular, molecularly targeted drugs. Crizotinib is the first oral small molecule inhibitor of ALK, MET and ROS1 receptor tyrosine Kinases approved by the European Medicines Agency(EMA). Case report. The paper presents the case of a 62-year-old patient diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer with rearrangement in the ALK gene in stage IV of the disease. The patient was qualified for treatment with crizotinib under the B6 drug programme. Treatment started in May 2019. During treatment, assessment was made at 3 control points, where the first and second showed a partial response according to the RECIST 1.1 scale; in the next assessment, the response was maintained in the form of disease stabilization.

    The paper presents the development of water supply networks and sewage systems in rural areas of Małopolskie and Podkarpackie Voivodeships in the Polish context. The scope of the thesis includes the analyses of length of water supply networks and sewage systems, number of people using them, number of water and sewage connections and volume of used water and volume of discharged sewage. The results of the study were presented in the graphs. The research material was taken from the reports on municipal infrastructure published by The Polish Central Statistical Office (GUS) for 2002-2012 and Local Data Bank (BDL) for 1995-2001. Though there has been a significant improvement in water supply and sewage systems, Poland will have great difficulty in meeting the requirements concerning their development in rural areas by 2015.

    Maintaining airway patency is an essential issue in many fields of medicine. The modern approach to CPR, which focuses on maintaining airway, breathing, and circulation was finally established by Peter Safar in his book ABC of Resuscitation (1950). At present, along with the development of evidence-based medicine, techniques which are proven to be clinically effective are regularly published in a convenient form – as bundles and guidelines. Regarding airway management, ERC and DAS guidelines are the most reliable and useful sources of knowledge and practical clinical advice. Among the medical staff, there is emphasis put on the mastery of AB C techniques. Airway management is the first step in the resuscitation algorithm. It consists of a variety of procedures ranging from simple and non-invasive to more complex, requiring professional training and experience. Currently, the most clinically effective and life-saving actions are incorporated into whole procedures and bundles, such as ERC or DAS guidelines, which are evenly checked, evaluated and, eventually, modified. This method of regular revision allows us to keep all medical professionals at the same level of competence. The aim of the study was to describe basic and advanced techniques, methods, and devices which are currently used to provide it. Currently applicable guidelines regarding CPR and airway management were reviewed and summarized.
