Opis:
Electromagnetic radiation exposure increases with the rise of the wireless communication devices. Electromagnetic radiation, especially near 2400 MHz band, has gradually increased with the widespread of wireless fidelity adapter in indoor environment. In this study, electromagnetic radiation in dwellings where different Wi-Fi adapters and routers are used was assessed by measuring the electric field and compared with other electromagnetic radiation source and the limits set by the Information and Communication Technologies Authority. Measurements were taken in the range of 760-2690 MHz bands used by GSM, 3G/LTE and Wi-Fi technologies. The detected values for all frequencies are significantly lower than the limits of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority. Among the electromagnetic radiation sources, electromagnetic radiation of Wi-Fi adapter is higher than GSM/3G/LTE sources radiation in dwellings. Electromagnetic radiation values in nearest point of high power adapter Wi-Fi antenna are close to the Information and Communication Technologies Authority limit value. Results show that electromagnetic radiation based on Wi-Fi adapters or routers can be higher than GSM based electromagnetic radiation.

Opis:
The issue of stability controlling cutting slopes is particularly important in clay-shale slopes, a typical expanding sedimentary layer with poor engineering geological conditions and mechanical characteristics. Therefore, research on the causes of failure and remedies for clay-shale cutting slopes is required to serve as an overview for handling and preserving clay-shale slopes in identical conditions. However, the trusted information about the need for further related clay shale research and clay shale in slope stability has yet to be specifically presented. This review study summarizes the published research for clay shale beginning in 1980, presents a bibliometric analysis to examine the published research based on year and country, and provides various study trends in cluster diagram using the VOSviewer program. The analysis also summarized some key goals, effective methodology, and significant findings from the most recent studies to extract information from them that would benefit future research. In conclusion, the results show the need for developing research to fill the knowledge gap regarding clay shale, landslide, and clay mineralogy. In addition, the clay shale slope analysis has revealed the need for additional research into dynamic force and its deformation.

Opis:
In the present study, the effect of various fermentation media on the production of carotenoid pigment in a radiation-resistant strain of Dietzia maris was reported. The biomass and pigment production of this strain was evaluated using various sources of carbon and nitrogen as well as different concentrations of whey medium. The antioxidant and cytotoxic activities of the extracted pigment were also determined using ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP), 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radicals (DPPH), and MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide) assays. The antibacterial activity of the carotenoid pigment was also evaluated. All carbon sources increased the pigment production of D. maris in the following order: glucose > raffinose = starch = xylose> sorbitol > sucrose. However, only glucose, xylose, and sorbitol significantly increased the microbial biomass as compared to the control. Moreover, all organic nitrogen sources and ammonium sulfate enhanced the pigment production of the studied strain by approximately 6–9 folds. The free radical scavenging capacity and FRAP of the D. maris carotenoid extract were reported as half-maximal effective concentration or EC50= 3.30 mg/ml and EC50 =28.46 μg/ml, respectively. The maximum amount of biomass and carotenoid pigment produced by D. maris was obtained in the fermentation medium containing 1 g/l glucose and 1 g/l yeast extract (18 mg/l). This strain can be considered as a promising biocatalyst for the commercial production of natural carotenoids due to its antioxidant capacity and noncytotoxic activity.

Opis:
The aim of this study was to evaluate the different carrier formulations of antagonistic bacteria on incidence of root rot disease of cantaloupe. Twenty-seven isolates of bacteria isolated from rizosphere cantaloupe plants (collected from different localities of the Assiut Governorate, Egypt) were tested in vitro against the growth of Fusarium solani. The tested isolates exhibited varied percentages of mycelial inhibition of F. solani. The highly antagonistic bacteria isolates were identified as Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus cereus, and Pseudomonas fluorescens. The effect of talc based powder and wood flour as various carrier formulations of antagonistic bacteria were tested on incidence of cantaloupe root rot disease in greenhouse and field experiments. All tested carrier formulations of antagonistic bacteria significantly decreased the disease index percentage (p > 0.05) of root rot disease compared with the control, in greenhouse or in field experiments. Application of the wood flour formulation to the infested soil at the time of planting, gave the lowest disease (21.75%) index percentage compared to an application fifteen days before planting (26.83%). The reverse effect occurred in the case of the talc based powder formulation application. In field experiments, during the two growing seasons of 2009 and 2010, wood flour formulation gave the same effect in the reduction of the disease index when added before planting or at the time of planting to soil infested with the pathogen. However, application of the talc formulation at the time of planting showed the least disease index compared to when it was applied fifteen days before planting. In general, wood flour formulation significantly decreased the disease index when compared with the talc formulation. In all the formulations, a number of viable colonies of bioagents were decreased gradually by prolonging the storage time at 4°C. Storage time was prolonged up to five months. But in the case of B. subtilis on talc and B. cereus on wood flour formulations, storage time needed to be prolonged up to seven months.

Opis:
Dokonano porównania stanu mechanizacji rolnictwa Polski i Białorusi. Rolnictwo Białorusi w odniesieniu do rolnictwa Polsce cechuje duży udział wielkoobszarowych gospodarstw rolnych. Pod względem mechanizacji na wyposażeniu rolnictwa Białorusi znajduje się zdecydowanie mniej niż w Polsce ciągników i maszyn rolniczych.
An analysis was made of the current status of agricultural mechanization Polish and Belarusian. Agriculture in Belarus in relation to polish agriculture has a larger share of large-scale farms. In terms of the equipment mechanization of agriculture, Belarus is far less equipped in tractors and agricultural machinery than Poland.

Opis:
The effects of 6- Benzylaminopurine (BA), different basal medium, sucrose concentration and gelling agent were investigated for shoot induction and multiplication of Acacia auriculiformis. Nodal explants derived from 5-month-old seedlings yielded the highest shoot multiplication rate in Murashige and Skoog medium (MS) with 0.44 μM BA, 30 g/L sucrose and 2 g/L Gelrite. The highest mean number of shoots (10) and mean length of shoots (5.07mm) were also obtained in this medium. Qualitative observation of the shoots cultured in 0.44 μM BA were greener and vigorous in growth as compared to shoots cultured on higher concentrations of BA (22.2 μM). MS medium produced a significantly higher number of shoots (18) compared to Woody Plant Medium (WPM) (11) and B5 medium (10). Media solidified with different gelling agents also produced a significantly different number of shoots with 2 g/L Gelrite produced the highest number of shoots (23). The highest percentage of shoots rooted was found in the MS medium without any growth regulators (40.0%) followed by medium supplemented with Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) at 9.84 μM and the combination of 9.84 μM IBA with 5.37 μM α-naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) (33.3%). MS medium without any plant growth regulators produced the highest mean root length (84.33mm), whereas medium supplemented with 9.84 μM IBA produced the highest mean number of roots per shoot (4.33). Out planting of in vitro rooted shoots in shredded coconut husk as the substrate gave the highest percentage of survival (90%) during acclimatization in the greenhouse.
