Opis:
Nannochloropsis oculata is a unicellular marine microalgae that has a role as an important food source and additive for marine organisms. Nannochloropsis oculata contains high levels of carbohydrate, protein, and chlorophyll so it has the potential as a bioremediation agent. In its growth, it needs an important component of nutrients as a growth medium, one of which is a source of phosphate. Phosphate itself acts as a constituent of protein compounds to bind metal ions in cells. This research aims to determine the effect of the addition of KH2PO4 as a phosphate source on the growth of Nannochloropsis oculata as a bioremediation agent to reduce levels of heavy metal pollution (Cd2+). This research was conducted from June to August 2019 in the Laboratory of Microbiology and Molecular Biotechnology of FIP-UNIDA, Bogor, West Java. Nannochloropsis oculata microalgae were obtained from UGO Plankton Shop, Purwodadi, Central Java. The research method used is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and two replications. The Cd2+ concentration used is 2 ppm in this research. The addition of KH2PO4 as a phosphate source is 0 ppm (control), 3, 4, and 5 ppm. The results of this research showed that the highest growth peak of Nannochloropsis oculata was achieved at 4 ppm treatment on the 9th day with cell density reaching 17.8 × 106 cells/mL, while the highest absorption of cadmium (Cd2+) was found in the 4 ppm phosphate treatment with the absorption efficiency reaching 39.23%.

Pangandaran fishermen use various types of fishing gear to catch fish, one of which is a liftnet. Floating liftnet fishing in Pangandaran is usually carried out at night, especially during dark months so that fish and cructaceans can gather in the area, as such animals are attracted to light (positive phototactic properties). These animals are deemed pelagic as they live on the surface of the waters. The weight and number of catch by fishermen are different depending on the time of hauling. Based on this, it is necessary to conduct research on the effect of the time of hauling on the floating liftnet catch. Accordingly, the optimal hauling time for floating liftnet fishing in Pangandaran was after midnight into early morning (00.00-04.00) and the average total catch is 386.12 kg. The main catch is mostly jawla paste shrimp and squid shrimp with a catch rate of 92.9 kg / hour.

Opis:
The traditional approach for managing the fisheries is the acquiring of property rights over the fishery through legislation by the state. The state than parcels out rights and establishes rules (regulations) of use for the fishers. The state regulates the resource. The conventional literature in resource economics provide some insights into how common property resources such as fisheries, can be managed in a sustainable manner. Common property regimes, such as collective resource management systems, develop when a group of individuals are highly dependent on a resource (s) and when the availability of the resource (s) is uncertain or limited. There is a need to empirically evaluate the nature of the transaction costs involved in fisheries co-management institutions as a basis for defending a move away from the more centralised form of fisheries management institutions. The discussion presented in this paper will serve as a basis for further operationalization of the categories of transaction costs and for empirical case study analysis.

This research study was intended to provide information in order to model an ideal construction of Gillnet fishing practices in PPI Karangsong, in order to support the feasibility of optimum catch. Fish Landing Base (PPI) Karangsong is the most active fishing port in Indramayu. The dominant fishing activity in the Karangsong PPI is gillnet fishing at around 71.4% of the total fishing units. The type of gillnet utilized in Indramayu is commonly called the ‘gillnet millennium’ and it is constructed out of Poly Amide monofilament. The gillnet vessel itself has a hull shaped in the form of a hard chin bottom. Based on this research, it can be concluded that each region has specific fishing unit characteristics that vary in accordance with the conditions of the waters.

Indonesian Economic crisis is not economic disaster, but as a market correction for Indonesian economic development strategy. This paper present that development of marine sector is one of development strategy as resources based development in Indonesia. Marine sector development will carry Indonesian out of crisis toward better economic development. Development of the marine sector which is basically the utilization of ecosystem diversity contained in each region, means that the development of marine is identical with economic development in each region. Production technology in the marine sector with wide variation (labor-intensive technology to knowledge-intensive technology) will be able to accommodate human resources with variations of education background. Marine based economic development strategy capable of reaching broad problem solving, capable of being implemented by Indonesia and able to lead the Indonesian nation to a better future economy.

This research was to assest of marine debris in Pangandaran beach. Marine debris sampled from 2016 and 2017 around west Pangandaran using Ocean Conservancy (OC) form to find information about distribution, abundance, and types. The result is debris on the West coast of Pangandaran is originally comes from settlements, tourists, traders, and fishermen. The highest accumulation of marine debris happened in October with total weight 44.385 kilos, while the lowest accumulation happened in May with total weight 38 kilos. this is due to Citumang River had overflowed due to heavy rain and then was swept away along the coastline and piled up an area near the bay in October. In May and August the debris which most find is cigarette with the percentage 28% in May and 35% in August. While in October the debris which most find is a plastic bag with percentage 33%. From six types of debris, the dominant debris per types as follows: Most likely to find items is cigarette butts, Fishing gear is rope, Packaging material is other plastic/foam packaging, Personal hygiene is diapers, Other trash is cigarettes lighters, and Tiny trash less than 2.5 cm is foam pieces. The specific debris at Pangandaran beach is the fisheries tools like a rope and net, the rope embedded in the ground and make it hard to take out. One of the factor the large number of debris in Pangandaran is tourism activity and fisheries activity. In addition, the study indicates that there is a strong relationship between human activities and spreading of debris.

Fiheries products that will be exported or marketed domestically, must have the specified food safety criteria. One of the criteria that the products is safe to be marketed and consumed is free from the presence of pathogenic bacteria. One of the common pathogenic bacteria found in food is Vibrio cholerae. The purpose of this research aims to examine, isolate and confirm the presence of dangerous pathogenic bacteria V. cholerae which shouldn’t exist in fisheries products with sample Frozen cuttle fish, frozen baby octopus small cut and Pasteurized crab meat. This research was held from July-August 2018 at Cirebon Test and Application of Fishery Products Technical Unit Agency. Data is collected through direct observation or testing in a microbiology laboratory with conventional methods using special media for V. cholerae such as Alkaline Peptone Water (APW) and Thiosulfate Citrate Bile Salts Sucrose (TCBS). The testing is qualitative, so the results obtained are either positive or negative. The results of the research showed that there’s no pathogenic bacteria V. cholerae were found in tested fisheries products so that they were safe to consume and satisfied the standards to be marketed.
