So, the exercise of recycled concrete aggregate protects the environment from different harmful effects and also considered as a cost effective material. This paper narrates the various productions and applications of recycled concrete aggregate in the construction industry. This paper also discusses the various properties of recycled aggregates and compares with the natural aggregates.

Nowadays, the application of cold formed steel elements in construction is becoming very popular due to several advantages like Speedy construction, higher strength to weight ratio, dimensional stability and recycled material. Besides, cold formed steel section has some undesirable properties that create challenges for its use in construction. The very small thickness makes it vulnerable to the different type of buckling, web crippling, torsional failure and also susceptible to fire. To overcome these challenges and utilize the advantages of cold formed steel element by improving its properties, important research works are being carried out all over the world. There are guidelines and specifications available in different codes of cold formed steel structure and it makes engineers confident in the application of cold formed steel elements in construction. The objective of this study is to represent an introduction of cold formed steel structure by reviewing the behavior, material properties, production methods, classification of cold formed steel elements. It also discusses the codes and guideline available for cold formed steel structure, important design criteria, connection, methods and durability issues based on some excellent researches.

In this study an attempt is made to investigate the characteristics of road traffic accidents on the Rajshahi-Sirajganj Highway in Bangladesh. For detail investigation, the highway was divided into three major sections as Section-I: Bonpara intersection to Parkol, Section-II: Parkol to Nayabazar and Section-III: Nayabazar to Toll Plaza. Road accident related data on selected highway for different years were collected from Bonpara Highway police station, Jholmoliya Highway Police Station and Fire Service and Civil Defense Station at Natore from year 2008 to 2015. From the investigation, it is found that the total numbers of accidents in Rajshahi - Sirajganj highway (Bonpara intersection to Atrai toll plaza) were 210 within year 2008 to year 2015; the number of fatalities, grievous injury and minor injury were 246, 231 & 265 respectively. It is also found that the maximum numbers of accidents (22%) occurred within 12 AM to 15 PM. Truck was the most involved vehicle in the road accident which is 39% of the total number of vehicles whereas, bus involved is 21% road accidents. From the year 2014 to 2015 there were 30% head on collisions, 34% rear end collisions, 29% hit pedestrians and 7% overturning occurred. A 3D model of Bonpara-Hatikumrul highway is proposed in this study, where the selected highway is developed into four lanes and the movements of fast moving vehicles are kept uninterrupted by providing a grade separated intersection.

Glass is used as an emerging structural member in the civil engineering construction industry. Fear and unconsciousness are the main hindrance to apply glass structure practically. Some safety glasses with the elastic interlayer material have the ability to carry higher loads than steel. So, it is high time to adopt this as a major load carrying structural member. At the beginning of this inspection elaborately presents the manufacturing process, basic properties and classification of glass for structural use. Reviewed portion of this work includes the recent research on the basic components of glass structure such as glass beam, glass column, glass slab or pavilion, glass walkway, glass panel, glass façade, curtain wall and glass frame under static or dynamic performances. The specific connection between glass with other materials and special types of different glass related composite structures like glass-concrete, glass-timber, glass-steel and glass-fiber are discussed. Special features of dynamic responses like effect of blast loading, wind born debris attack or cyclic loading and fire hazards of glass structure are also attached. Design guidelines and some practical applications are included to create interest, attention and courage for both structural engineer and architect. In recent years, a large number of glass related sophisticated developments have occurred in Europe. Since, An attempt has been taken to find out the huge research gaps in this sector so that this could fill in the future in order to spread glass design industry all over the world.

The Steel-concrete composite column can be an effective solution for any type of civil engineering construction instead of bare concrete or bare steel column because of having a good confinement effect between steel and concrete. Four types of shapes (square, rectangular, circular and elliptical) are chosen to find out their bearing capacity and axial compressive strength according to AISC (2010) guidelines. It is tried to make differences between these shapes. And it is also tried to keep the same cross-sectional dimension in the area of each shape. The main features which are found from this investigation are that circular shape has a good confinement effect and cost-effective than other shapes. Though the capacity of the square shape of CFST column is better than circular but it loses its confinement effect because of having sharp edges. And a square type of shape is suitable for easy connection. On the other hand, rectangular shape is better than elliptical shape.

Galvanized Iron wire is considered as a low-cost wire. In this study, this wire is mixed with black stone chips concrete and this concrete is recognized as fiber concrete. Fifty-four specimens are tested to detect the compressive behavior of fiber concrete and normal concrete. The mix ratio variations are also adopted for this study. The differences between the compressive behavior of fiber concrete and normal concrete are recorded. 7, 14 and 28 curing days are considered to investigate this study. Some recommendations are also attached at the end portion of this study.

Opis:
The materials which are useless and unwanted is called waste product and this waste product is a burden and harmful to the environment. Sugarcane bagasse ash (SCBA) is one kind of waste which can be termed as the residue left over from burning sugar cane bagasse. The utilization of this waste may be very economical and can also solve the environmental problem. Silica and alumina are the main element of SCBA which is used as a pozzolanic material. This recycling procedure of SCBA reduces environmental pollution and this is also considered the cost-effective material. In this paper, SCBA replaces the cement as a weight of 5%, 10% and 15% which is considered. After completing the compressive strength test, the result shows that the compressive strength increases when 5% cement is replaced by sugarcane bagasse ash and this is the correct replacement of cement.
