Целью соответствующего опыта было сравнение результатов откорма свиней с использованием кормосмеси составленной из ячменя с примесью мясной и костной муки или казеина (класса II или III) как источников белка. Количество белковых прибавок отвечало польскому стандарту кормления сельскохозяйственных животных. Опыт охватывал 224 помесных свиней держимых в станках (7 голов на станок). Не наблюдались существенные различия в средних привесах и в использовании кормов между опытными группами. Результаты убойного выхода 36 свиней (по 12 голов в группе) не показывали существенных различий между группами. Результаты опыта позволили констатировать, что казеин II-го и III-го класса и мясная н костная мука отеoественного производства характеризуются сравнительно хорошими кормовыми достоинствами как белковые прибавки в ячменю в рационах для растущих поросят.
The experiment was established to compare results of fattening pigs with barley mixed with meat and bone meal of casein (II and III class) as a protein additive. The amount of protein additive was set according to the Polish Standards for Feeding Housejold Animals IX Ed. In experiment were 224 crossbred pigs kept in pens (7 per pen). There was no statistically significant differences in average daily gain and feed conversion between experimental groups. The results of slaughter quality of 36 pigs (12 per group) did not show any significant differences between the groups. The results of the experiment prove that casein II and III class and produced in Poland meat and bone meal have comparative nutritional value as sole protein additive to the barley in diets for growing pigs.

The paper presents experimental studies of the spatial-microstructure and temporal-characteristics of fast ion beams, which are emitted from high-current plasma-focus (PF) discharges performed within the PF-360 facility at National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) at Otwock/Świerk, Poland. The spatial structure of the ion beams was investigated by means of pinhole cameras equipped with solid-state nuclear track detectors shielded by absorption filters made of Al-foils of different thickness. In order to perform time-resolved measurements there were applied miniature scintillation detectors placed at different points of the ion-image plane.

The paper describes a new technique which has been investigated in order to overcome the neutron saturation effect and to increase the neutron yield from the plasma-focus (PF) discharges [1]. The PF-360 experimental facility was constructed at the Andrzej Soltan Institute for Nuclear Studies (IPJ) in Swierk, Poland in the late 70s [4, 5]. Recently in order to improve the neutron yield from the PF-360 machine, it was proposed to use a cryogenic deuterium target, which might be placed within the plasma-focus region. For this purpose, we have been made a needle-like cryogenic target covered with a thin „heavy-ice“ layer. A considerable increase in the average neutron yield (from 1.7×1010 to about 2.2×1010 neutrons/shot) has been achieved for 122 kJ PF discharges when the needle target top was placed at a distance of about 100 mm from the electrode ends.

The paper reports on investigations of dense magnetized plasmas produced within a modernized PF-360 facility, which was operated with an additional planar cryogenic target placed in the front of the electrode outlet and covered with D2O-ice layers. The main aim of these studies was to overcome the neutron saturation effect and to increase the maximum neutron yield from PF discharges by using fast deuteron beams. Such beams are usually emitted from a pinch region and can produce fast neutrons from D-D reactions during their interactions with the additional target.

Experimental results are presented on the spatial structure and energetic characteristics of the fast ion beams produced by high-current discharges in a PF-360 device operated at the National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ, Otwock/Świerk, Poland). The 105 kJ discharges were initiated at the initial deuterium pressure around p0 = 6 hPa and were powered from a 234 miF capacitor bank charged up to 30 kV. The spatial structure of the ion beams was recorded using pinhole cameras equipped with the solid-state nuclear track detectors of the PM-355 type, placed at two different angles (0 centigrade, 45 centigrade) relative to the discharge axis. The detectors were shielded by thin absorption filters made of pure Al foils of various thickness, which made it possible to record only ions with energies exceeding a chosen threshold value. Similarly as in other plasma focus (PF) experiments, energies of the emitted ions ranged from about 30 keV to about 3 MeV, i.e. they were much higher than the voltage applied to the electrodes. The recorded ion images showed a complex spatial structure of the fast ion beams, which consisted of many micro-beams of different energies. It is possible that these beams were emitted by various local micro-sources (e.g. plasma micro-diodes) the were formed inside the PF pinch column.

Purpose: To present the results of surgical treatment concerning pressure ulcers. Materials and methods: All patients underwent surgical treatment at the Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic from 1997 to 2016. One operator performed the procedures. A total of 28 pressure ulcers were operated (25 patients). The clinical material consisted of 15 pressure ulcers located in the lower back area, six pressure ulcers located in the ischial area, three pressure ulcers located in the trochanteric area and four pressure ulcers located in the heel area. Results: One conducted the result evaluation based on the criteria of complications proposed by Seiler. In case of all surgically treated patients, pressure ulcers appeared after 2-5 weeks after the surgery. One patient experienced hematoma below the slide piece. One could observe seroma in case of 5 patients. In this situation, it was required to apply a local postoperative puncture. Four patients experienced marginal skin necrosis (2 of them required resection of dead skin edges in operating block conditions which were later re-stitched using “side to side” technique). During the 3-year follow-up, there was no recurrence of operated pressure ulcers. Conclusions: Deep septic pressure ulcers, according to the division introduced by Seiler, connected with bone infection require the application of muscular-skin pieces. This procedure is aimed at improving local tissue blood supply. Proper preoperative preparation of the patient, careful planning of the surgery and suitable postoperative treatment of the patient are as significant as the surgery itself.

The route to chaos of domain wall in thin magnetic film, which is described by Słonczewski's equations of motion, is analyzed numerically. Hagedorn's model of surface stray field is applied. Ranges of periodic and chaotic wall motion as a function of constant in time, drive field are found. Comparison of results with those obtained for Hubert's model of the stray field is made.
