Może to rodzić pozytywne skutki, powodując rywalizację i podniesienie poziomu świadczonych usług, ale może też mieć negatywne przełożenie na jakość kształcenia.
    The article focuses on marketing activities in public education institutions. The educational services market has been constantly evolving in recent years. It is becoming more diverse, while schools increasingly operate in a competitive environment. These conditions force schools into certain behaviors such as promoting their educational services. To this end, educational institutions must use marketing tools in order to maintain their market position. This can give rise to positive effects such as sound competition and an overall improvement of the level of services provided. However, it may also have a negative impact on the quality of education.

    W dzisiejszych czasach podjęcie rozważań nad znaczeniem wartości w zarządzaniu nabiera szczególnego znaczenia. Dotyczy to zwłaszcza organizacji, które decydują o kształcie przyszłego społeczeństwa. Takimi instytucjami są szkoły, dlatego istotnym elementem kierowania placówkami oświatowymi jest ukierunkowanie na odpowiednie wychowanie młodzieży. Przekazywanie im fundamentalnych wartości odgrywa dzisiaj bardzo ważną rolę. Artykuł poświęcony został rozważaniom nad zagadnieniami wartości w zarządzaniu szkołą. Jego głównym celem jest próba wskazania tych elementów, które mają szczególne znaczenie w zarządzaniu placówką oświatową, z jednoczesnym zaakcentowaniem roli dyrektora w procesach kształtowania odpowiednich postaw.
    Nowadays, taking consideration of the values in management is of particular importance. This concerns especially the organizations that determine the shape of future society. Such institutions are schools, hence an important element of educational institutions management is the focus on the appropriate upbringing of youth. Providing them with the fundamental values plays a very important role today. The nature of this thesis is a reflection on the values in school management. Its main purpose is to try to identify those elements that are of particular importance in the management of educational institutions, while emphasizing the role of headmaster in the process of shaping appropriate attitudes.

    In recent years Poland has been undergoing rapid socio-cultural changes. Along with these changes one can observe a systematic decline in the importance of religious life. This leads to reflection on the direction and depth of transformations, and consequently on the place of religion in the life of future generations. The study attempts to statistically present the religious situation of the inhabitants of Cieszyn Silesia. This is a very specific region mainly due to the diversity of confessions. Historical conditions, as well as the current religious structure make this subject difficult to study, but at the same time very interesting. For a more complete picture, the data from the beginning of the 20th century, as well as from the present day, were used.

    The study is intended to signal changes in the way of communication in a rural family, including the problem of shrinking or even disappearance of traditional oral communication. For centuries, this message has determined the transmission of broadly understood culture, including traditions and customs. At present, the spoken word, one of the typical features of peasant culture, is being forced out of family life for the sake of other forms of communication. The forum for exchanging thoughts, opinions or views has moved from the family table to the Internet, and the activity in conducting conversations is focused primarily on social media or various types of discussion forums.

    In the information society, the existing traditional ways of communication are changing, often in favour of digital forms. What is also transformed are the forms of teaching and educating, which are substituted by distance education with the use of networks of various types. The study focuses on the theoretical and practical determinants of network functioning. In this study, some e-challenges are analysed in the context of new prospects of the informational-educational space based on the global network of Internet. The definitions are presented as well as some exemplary types of network. Moreover, the collaboration and self-training network, and its aims are focused on. Two cases are provided as examples - the Internet platform “Doskonalenie w sieci /Improvement in the Net/” and the international research network IRNet, in the activity of which the authors of the presented article take active part.
