W publikacji zaprezentowane zostały sposoby rozwiązywania strefy pracy w jednoosobowym i dwuosobowym pokoju w akademiku. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na powiązanie psychotypu ze sposobem rozwiązania miejsca do pracy. Przykłady rozwiązań przedstawiono, posługując się ilustracjami zadania projektowego wykonanego w roku akademickim 2009/2010, 2010/2011 i 2011/2012 przez studentów WA PB na kierunku: architektura i urbanistyka (studia inżynierskie), architektura wnętrz (studia magisterskie).
    Individual need for the space is connected with the temperament and the sensoric type represented by the user. The paper presented ways of solving the area of work in a single and double room in a hostel. Particular attention was paid to linking users psychotype with the resolution of a place to work. The design made in the academic year 2009/2010, 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 by WA PB students – architectural and urban design (first degree undergraduate – BArch), interior design (second degree – MArch) – is presented as an example.

    W prezentowanym materiale kontynuowane są rozważania dotyczące problematyki ukierunkowanego projektowania wnętrz mieszkalnych, związanego ze zróżnicowaniem potrzeb użytkowników. Omawiane tu zróżnicowania wynikają z psychotypu wyrażającego się poprzez temperament i indywidualny wzorzec myślenia. W niniejszym artykule opisane zostały transformacje, czyli przekształcanie przestrzeni pokoju jako: z jednej strony - odpowiedź na wielkość powierzchni pokoju w akademiku, z drugiej strony - jako indywidualna potrzeba użytkownika, niezależna od dysponowanej powierzchni mieszkalnej. Zwrócono uwagę, że zróżnicowanie rodzajów i liczba transformacji związane są z reprezentowanym przez użytkownika psychotypem. Przykłady rozwiązań przedstawiono, posługując się ilustracjami zadania projektowego wykonanego w latach 2010/2011, 2011/2012, 2012/2013 przez studentów WA PB na kierunku: architektura i urbanistyka (studia inżynierskie), architektura wnętrz (studia magisterskie).
    In the presented material are continued discussion of the issues targeted residential interior design associated with differences in the needs of users. The diversity results from the presented psychotyp expressed by temperament and personal thinking pattern. This paper presents the transformations i.e. conversions, implementing changes in the room in hostel as: on the one hand the answer to the size of the surface of room, on the other hand as an individual’s need for independent living space. Was pointed out that the various types and number of transformations follows from the presented the user’s psychotype. The designs made in the academic years: 2010/2011, 2011/2012, 2012/2013 by WA PB students – architectural and urban design (first degree undergraduate – B.Arch), interior design (second degree – M.Arch) – are presented as examples.

    W przedstawionym materiale autorka stawia hipotezę, że tożsamość każdego człowieka wiąże się z jego domem jako takim. Dowodzenie tezy następuje poprzez prezentację trzech przypadków. Pierwszym z nich jest koncepcja „5 skór” Friedensreicha Hundertwassera, następnym opis regionalnej zabudowy występującej we wsiach północno-wschodniej części Podlasia, kolejnym zaś przypadkiem jest zabudowa osiedla domów jednorodzinnych w Herzliyi (Izrael), w której widać przywiązanie do tradycji budowlanych przywiezionych z Polski. Przywołane, mimo pozornej rozbieżności, przykłady pozwalają na sformułowanie uogólnienia potwierdzającego znaczenie architektury domu dla zachowania tożsamości człowieka.
    The paper presents hypothesis, that the identity of every man is connected with his house as such. Proving the thesis takes place through the presentation of three cases. The first of them is the concept of ‘five skins’ of Friedensreich Hundertwasser. The second description shows the regional buildings in villages of the north-eastern part of Podlasie region. The last one, the estate of detached houses in Herzliya (Israel), in which we can see the connections with traditional buildings brought from Poland. Examples quoted, in spite of the seeming divergence, allow for formulating generalisation about the importance of architecture of home to preserve the own human identity.

Particular attention was paid to linking user's psychotype with the resolution of a place for sleep.The design exercise completed in the academic year 2011/2012 by Bialystok University of Technology, Faculty of Architecture students - interior design, master degree programme - is presented as an example.

    Every town or city has its main square, traditionally called a market. This used to be a place where traditional fairs were held, gathering inhabitants of towns and villages from near and afar. In Bialystok during the Inter-War period three market places functioned in the central urban area: Rynek Kościuszki, Rybny Rynek and Sienny Rynek. Rynek Sienny has remained in the common perception as an important site in the space of the city and as a name. Comparing the plans of the city of Białystok from various periods it is possible to trace how this square kept "moving", how its size and shape changed. Not only the geometry of the square changed but also its environment. The changes were caused by the destructions during various wars, but also the earlier re-locations. Currently the frontage is highly diverse. The frontage of Młynowa Street is covered by small scale buildings - one or two storey houses, usually with steep roofs. In most cases these houses are in a dire need of repairs. New multiple storey buildings - either completed or under construction - create formal chaos.

    Opis:
    Global cities and mega-cities, virtual cities and post-situational cities of New Town development became abstract ideas, describing ideas impossible for individual perception, highly surpassing the perceptive abilities of man. Over-scaling urban environment over what one is able to perceive and connect into full, bears new aesthetical theories in which city tissue becomes a background, coulisse without hierarchy. Rules of aesthetic anarchy begin to rule the city perception and a system of accent, marks and dominants stops bonding urban space, because a compact picture of a city simply ceases to exist. Accents, marks and dominants become a set of non hierarchized sections of space with defined charm, climate, "city spirit", "flowers on a meadow of a city" - but do not direct, do not inform, stop being a reference system. A city dweller becomes a wanderer - flaneur, perceiving that what he wants to see, and a wander in the city becomes to be a form of not orientated meditation, devoid of direction and aim.

    Residential interiors are evaluated by users according to their needs. That is why it is important to look for objective, interdisciplinary methods to investigate them. The paper focussed on describing both: personal thinking pattern and semantic differential as potential approaches to the issue.
