Opis:
As part of the studies conducted in the field of broadly understood casting of non-ferrous metals, selected results on the impact of variable additions of copper and silicon in aluminium were presented. A series of melts was carried out with copper content kept constant at a level of 2% (1st stage) and 4% (2nd stage) and variable contents of silicon introduced into aluminium. The crystallization characteristics of the examined alloys and the percentage of structural constituents at ambient temperature were obtained by modelling the thermodynamic parameters of individual phases with the CALPHAD method. The microstructure of the obtained alloys was examined and microhardness was measured by the Vickers-Hanemann method. The alloy properties were assessed based on the results of mechanical tests, including ultimate tensile strength (UTS), hardness (BHN) and elongation (E). The machinability of the tested alloys was analyzed in a machinability test carried out by the Keep-Bauer method, which consisted in drilling with a constant feed force. The obtained results clearly indicate changes in the images of microstructure, such as the reduction in grain size, solution hardening and precipitation hardening. The changes in the microstructure are also reflected in the results of mechanical properties testing, causing an increase in strength and hardness, and plasticity variations in the range of 4 ÷ 16%, mainly due to the introduced additions of copper and silicon. The process of alloy strengthening is also visible in the results of machinability tests. The plotted curves showing the depth of the hole as a function of time and the images of chips produced during the test indicate an improvement in the wear resistance obtained for the tested group of aluminium alloys with the additions of copper and silicon.

The paper discusses issues related to the technology of melting and processing of copper alloys. An assessment was made of the impact of titanium and iron introduced in the form of pre-alloy - Ti73Fe master alloy on the microstructure and selected properties of pure copper and copper-silicon alloy. There are known examples of the use of titanium and iron additive to the copper alloy. Titanium as an additive introduced to copper alloys to improve their properties is sometimes also applicable. In the first stage of the study, a series of experimental castings were conducted with variable content of Ti73Fe master alloy entering copper in quantities of 5 %, 15 %, 25 % in relation to the mass of the metal charge. In the second stage, a silicon additive was introduced into copper in the amount of about 4 % by weight and 0.5 % and 1 % respectively of the initial Ti73Fe alloy. Thermodynamic phase parameters were modelled using CALPHAD method and Thermo-Calc software, thus obtaining the crystallization characteristics of the test alloys and the percentage of structural components at ambient temperature. Experiments confirmed the validity of the use of Ti73Fe master alloy as an additive. The pre-alloy used showed a favourable performance, both in terms of addition solubility and in the area of improvement of strength properties. Changes were achieved in the microstructure, mainly within the grain, but also in the developed dendrites of the solid solution. Changes occur with the introduction of titanium with iron into copper as well as to two-component silicon bronze.

The aim of this work is to develop a numerical model capable of predicting the grain density in the Mg-based matrix phase of an AZ91/SiC composite, as a function of the total mass fraction of the embedded SiC particles. Based on earlier work in a range of alloy systems, we assume an exponential relationship between the grain density and the maximum supercooling during solidification. Analysis of data from cast samples with different thicknesses, and mass fractions of added SiCp, permits conclusions to be drawn on the role of SiCp in increasing grain density. By fitting the data, an empirical nucleation law is derived that can be used in a micro model. Numerical simulation based on the model can predict the grain density of magnesium alloys containing SiC particles, using the mass fraction of the particles as inputs. These predictions are compared with measured data.

The maintenance of helicopters at the airports of the Polish Armed Forces in the state of technical efficiency determines the possession – by the entity securing their maintenance, repair – of appropriate resources and the maintenance system. The article presents the current state of the operation processes of helicopters in the Polish Army. The characteristics of the helicopter maintenance system model and the basic assumptions were described, and the mathematical records of input data to the system were identified and presented. The selected elements of the optimisation task, its decision variables, and constraints were formulated. The initial assessment of the quality of the proposed solution of the helicopter maintenance system model. The essence of the system optimisation problem, which relates to minimising the cost function and maximising the system’s readiness function, was emphasised. In addition, an example of appropriateness of applying such an approach is presented on the basis of the School Aviation Base. The article was concluded with a short summary, which stressed the importance of this type of the optimisation system.

W niniejszym artykule autorzy zaprezentowali wybrane, innowacyjne rozwiązania transportowe dla systemu transportu miejskiego i dokonali ich wielokryterialnej oceny z uwzględnieniem analizy potrzeb osób z niepełnosprawnością i starszych (w zaawansowanym wieku). Przedstawili takie nowoczesne rozwiązania transportowe jak: system personal rapid transit (PRT), system bus rapid transit (BRT), czy zintegrowany węzeł przesiadkowy. Wymienione rozwiązania zastosowali do zaprojektowania różnych wariantów systemu transportu miejskiego i poddali je ocenie wielokryterialnej z uwzględnieniem interesów (preferencji i oczekiwań) osób o ograniczonej mobilności. W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki komputerowych eksperymentów obliczeniowych z wykorzystaniem metody AHP. Na podstawie uzyskanego rankingu końcowego przeprowadzono odpowiednie wnioskowanie.
In this paper the authors have presented selected, innovative transportation solutions for the urban transportation system and have conducted a multiple-criteria evaluation of them, taking into consideration the analysis of the needs of disabled and elderly (in advanced age) people. They have presented modern transportation solutions, such as: Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) system, Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system and integrated transfer nodes. They have used the above mentioned solutions to design different variants of an urban transportation system and have carried out their multiple-criteria evaluation taking into consideration the interests (preferences and expectations) of people with reduced mobility. In this paper the results of the computer based computational experiments, carried out using the AHP method have been presented. On the basis of the final ranking of considered variants, the appropriate reasoning has been conducted.

The paper presents issues related to design and organization of warehouse processes. Draws attention to problems of modelling logistics facilities and processes occurring in them. Paper also points out the essence of correct operation of warehouses and associated with this risks for supply chain. Warehouse processes have been properly defined and divided into smaller components, like: phases of process, activities, sets of procedures, procedures or working movements. Paper presents various possible configurations of warehouse processes, which were named as warehouse strategies. Warehouse process strategy is a part of warehousing. It determines the sequence of warehouse operations. These operations are related to internal transport, cargo form transformation and cargo buffering. In paper it is noted that the warehouse strategy depends on the several technical and organizational factors and is associated with a certain probability. This probability can be estimated based on data analysis concerning logistics processes in the specified warehouse facility. As shown in case study, appropriate selection of warehouse strategies determines possibility of fulfilling customer order in time and costs that are acceptable for him.

Opis:
Time series of weekly and daily solutions for coordinates of permanent GNSS stations may indicate local deformations in Earth’s crust or local seasonal changes in the atmosphere and hydrosphere. The errors of the determined changes are relatively large, frequently at the level of the signal. Satellite radar interferometry and especially Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) is a method of a very high accuracy. Its weakness is a relative nature of measurements as well as accumulation of errors which may occur in the case of PSI processing of large areas. It is thus beneficial to confront the results of PSI measurements with those from other techniques, such as GNSS and precise levelling. PSI and GNSS results were jointly processed recreating the history of surface deformation of the area of Warsaw metropolitan with the use of radar images from Envisat and Cosmo-SkyMed satellites. GNSS data from Borowa Gora and Jozefoslaw observatories as well as from WAT1 and CBKA permanent GNSS stations were used to validate the obtained results. Observations from 2000–2015 were processed with the Bernese v.5.0 software. Relative height changes between the GNSS stations were determined from GNSS data and relative height changes between the persistent scatterers located on the objects with GNSS stations were determined from the interferometric results. The consistency of results of the two methods was 3 to 4 times better than the theoretical accuracy of each. The joint use of both methods allows to extract a very small height change below the level of measurement error.

Przeprowadzono badania skuteczności katalitycznej dwóch organicznych suspensji związków żelaza. Wykonano testy w warunkach rzeczywistych, spalając lekki olej opałowy uszlachetniony badanymi próbkami w kotle o mocy 80 kW. Analizowano skład spalin pod kątem zawartości CO, NOx, pyłów i niespalonych węglowodorów. Wykazano znaczne różnice w efektywności katalitycznej badanych próbek.
Catalytic efficiency of two organic suspensions of iron compounds was tested. Real condition tests were performed by burning light heating oil treated with samples of tested suspensions in 80 kW power boiler. The exhaust gases were analyzed for CO, NOx, dust and unburnt hydrocarbon concentration. Significant differences in the catalytic efficiency of the samples tested were found.

W artykule przedstawiono przebieg i wyniki badań penetracji betonu przez ładunki kumulacyjne stosowane w przemyśle zbrojeniowym. Badania te stanowią pierwszy etap prac badawczych prowadzonych w kierunku rozpoznania możliwości stosowania ładunków kumulacyjnych do otworowania skał. Badania prowadzono na poligonie Wojskowego Instytutu Technicznego Uzbrojenia z wykorzystaniem amunicji czołgowej. Prezentowane w artykule badania i wyniki pozwalają wnioskować o możliwości stosowania ładunków kumulacyjnych do otworowania skał w przemyśle wydobywczym.
This paper presents the course and results of concrete penetration tests conducted with shaped charges used in the arms industry. These tests are the first stage of research focused on the possible use of shaped charges for rock punching. The study was conducted at the training ground of the Military Institute of Armament Technology with the use of tank ammunition. The tests and results presented in the paper allow to conclude that there is a possibility to use shaped charges for rock punching in the mining industry.

The authors own computer software, based on the Ueshima mathematical model with taking into account the back diffusion, determined from the Wołczyński equation, was developed for simulation calculations. The applied calculation procedure allowed to determine the chemical composition of the non-metallic phase in steel deoxidised by means of Mn, Si and Al, at the given cooling rate. The calculation results were confirmed by the analysis of samples taken from the determined areas of the cast ingot. This indicates that the developed computer software can be applied for designing the steel casting process of the strictly determined chemical composition and for obtaining the required non-metallic precipitates.

Maintaining the aircrafts (AC) of the Polish Armed Forces in operating condition is determined by adequate resources to secure maintenance and repairs possessed by the companies implementing these tasks on them. The article characterises and then describes formally the Aircrafts Maintenance System in the Polish Armed Forces. The assumptions of the aircraft maintenance system model, proposed model structure, and mapping of aircraft maintenance performance were described. The most important elements (such as data, decision variables, boundary conditions and assessment criterion function) of an optimisation task aimed at minimising the executed aircraft maintenances’ costs were formulated. For this purpose, the record of evaluation criterion functions of the companies performing aircraft maintenance was shown. The article was completed with a conclusion, which underlined the importance of the proposed optimisation model. The optimisation model proposed in the article allows evaluating the aircraft maintenances’ organisation and their parameters. The formal record concerns both in the case of one-dimensional maintenance (one aircraft type) and multi-dimensional one (various aircraft types).

The paper presents an approach to the assessment of the location of facilities in the warehouse logistics network with the efficiency of its operations. Determination of efficiency of complex systems of this type should take into account wide range of issues. The system efficiency results on the one hand from the efficiency of its action and on the other hand from the ability to use available system elements to achieve the objectives. Efficiency is a main criterion to the evaluation of the activity both at the level of the whole system, as well as in its subsystems or components. Most often, it refers to the principle of rational management formulated in two variants: performance (maximization effect) and economical (minimizing effort). The article poses the thesis that based on studies of speed and reliability of execution of tasks it is possible to assess the potential locations of warehouse facilities in the studied logistics network. Were also presented factors affecting the efficiency of the functioning of individual cells of the logistics network. Was pointed to the technical, economic, organizational and reliability aspects affecting the efficiency and reliability of the logistics network in terms of both supply and distribution. It was also presented a modular block diagram of an assessment method for localizing logistics facilities in the logistics network.

Przedstawiono wyniki badań nad technologią wytwarzania magneto-zwierciadła, które jest podstawowym elementem inteligentnego obiektywu koordynatora lotu rakiety przeciwlotniczej. Realizacja badań ukierunkowana była na poprawę jakości pierścieni magneto-zwierciadeł, poprzez zastosowanie nowych technologii do ich produkcji, aby maksymalnie ograniczyć ich odrzut na poszczególnych etapach wykonania. Wyznaczone bardzo wysokie kryteria jakości metalurgicznej magneto-zwierciadła wymusiły wielokierunkowe działania badawcze w obszarach: modyfikacji składu stopu AlNiCo, technologii wytapiania i odlewania w próżni, obróbki cieplnej i termomagnetycznej odlewów oraz specjalistycznej obróbki mechanicznej i optycznej. Na rynek krajowy został wprowadzony nowy produkt o istotnie zmodyfikowanych parametrach geometrii i jakości, do chwili obecnej nieprodukowany. Uzyskany efekt ekonomiczny wynika z ograniczenia odrzutów wysoce kosztownych magneto-zwierciadeł na poszczególnych etapach ich produkcji, obniżeniu kosztów materiału i robocizny.
The results of research on the technology of production of magneto-mirror, which is an essential component of the smart lens anti-rocket flight coordinator were presented. Carrying out of the research was aimed at improving the quality of the rings of magneto-mirrors, through the use of new technology for their production in order to minimize their discards at various stages of manufacturing. Designated very high metallurgical quality criteria of magnetomirror forced multidirectional research activities in the areas: modification of the chemical composition of the AlNiCo alloy, smelting and casting technology in vacuum, heat thermo-magnetic treatment of castings and their specialized machining and optical treatments. A new product was launched in the domestic market with significantly modified the geometry parameters and quality, to date not produced. W artykule omówiony został problem wykorzystania teorii kolejek do badania i oceny działania transportu kolejowego. Zaprezentowano obszary modelowania procesów w transporcie kolejowym do badania których wykorzystana została teoria kolejkowa. Omówiono wykorzystanie metody sieci faz procesu w badaniu płynności ruchu na linii kolejowej. W artykule przeprowadzono badania płynności ruchu na dwóch szlakach: Warszawa Zachodnia – Warszawa Włochy oraz Warszawa Włochy – Pruszków dla kierunku zasadniczego – tory dedykowane dla ruchu pasażerskiego podmiejskiego. Badania przeprowadzono dla dwóch wariantów: wariantu gdy urządzenia samoczynnej blokady liniowej na obu szlakach są sprawne oraz gdy na pierwszym szlaku uległy uszkodzeniu. Badania przeprowadzono z wykorzystaniem aplikacji Java Modelling Tools – JSIMgraph.
In the article were discussed a problem of using the queueing theory for the examination and evaluation of the railway transport problems. We presented the areas of railway transport processes modelling for the examination of which a queue theory was used. We discussed using phases of the network method in the examination of fluidity of movement on the railway line. In the article were carried out examinations of fluidity of movement on two open lines: Warszawa Zachodnia – Warszawa Włochy and Warszawa Włochy – Pruszków for fundamental direction - tracks dedicated for suburban passenger traffic. The research was conducted for two variants: variant when control command and signalling line equipment on both open lines are effective and when on the first open line has been damaged. The research was conducted using Java Modelling Tools – JSIMgraph.
