Opis:: The article presents the results of static tests performed on the primary support structures of a TWISST-ter unmanned aircraft constructed using additive manufacturing techniques commonly known as 3D printing. The primary goal of the experiment was determining the material effort of the structure in order to assess the feasibility of such an engineering solution in terms of material mechanics. Considering the fact that the properties of 3D printed elements are not widely known, both destructive experimental methods and finite element methods were used. During the experimental trails, the ARAMIS deformation measurement system, based on digital three-dimensional image correlation, was used. The results of this experiment allowed for the calibration of the numerical model as achieving convergence with experimentally determined strain fields. This approach ensured the correctness of the numerical determined stress state. Based on the results of the study, the necessary design improvements were implemented and a general conclusion was formed regarding of the numerical analysis of structures made through 3D printing.

Opis:: The study presents results of experiments and numerical analyses concerning thin-walled shells used as components of aircraft structures. The solution, which is proposed here, consists in stiffening such elements by means of integral ribs. A comparative analysis has been carried out between the suggested design solution and the reference structure. In the experimental part of the study, an optical scanner with digital image correlation has been used. Nonlinear numerical analyses have been carried out with the use of software based on the finite element method.

Opis:: The paper presents experimental and numerical investigation of wing's spar. Part of the spar was subjected to one step fatigue test, covering 10,000 load cycles corresponding to the oscillations of the load factor from nz min = ?3.7 to nz max = 5.7. Such test is proposed as an alternative to the full loading spectrum tests. During the experiment 3D scan was used to rapid inspection of sensitive structure's areas. Application of optical strain gauges based on a fiber Bragg's grating allowed to observe the phenomenon of local, periodical strengthening of the structure.
W pracy przedstawiono badania eksperymentalne i numeryczne dźwigara skrzydła. Fragment dźwigara poddano jednostopniowemu testowi zmęczeniowemu, obejmującemu 10.000 cykli obciążeń odpowiadających oscylacjom współczynnika obciążeń od nz min= ?3.7 do nz max= 5.7. Test taki proponowany jest jako alternatywa dla próby z zastosowaniem pełnego spektrum obciążeń. W trakcie badań wykorzystano skanowanie przestrzenne, jako propozycję szybkiej metody inspekcji newralgicznych obszarów konstrukcji. Zastosowanie do pomiaru odkształceń systemu światłowodowych czujników tensometrycznych opartych na siatce Bragga'a pozwoliło na zaobserwowanie zjawiska lokalnego, okresowego umacniania struktury.

Opis:: W ar tykule zaprezentowano dwie eksperymentalne metody pomiaru przemieszczeń wykorzystane do określenia względnego przemieszczenia elementów klejonych w próbie wytrzymałościowej złącza. Przedmiotem badań było złącze klejowe poddane statycznej próbie oddzierania. Pierwszą z przedstawionych metod jest trójwymiarowa cyfrowa korelacja obrazu - 3D DIC (ang. 3D Digital Image Correlation). Zaprezentowano możliwości systemu pomiarowego ARAMIS opierającego się na tej metodzie. Proces pomiaru polega na rejestracji zjawiska przy użyciu dwóch kamer oraz obróbce numerycznej rejestrowanych obrazów. W efekcie możliwe jest uzyskanie pól przemieszczeń, jak i odkształceń. Druga z metod polega na rejestracji obrazu fragmentu obiektu, poprzez mikroskop optyczny wyposażony w kamerę cyfrową. Obraz poddany jest analizie przy użyciu programu MATLAB (Image Acquisition Toolbox). W tym przypadku uzyskuje się jedynie informację o przemieszczeniu poddanego rejestracji obszaru. W podsumowaniu porównano wyniki obydwu metod oraz wykazano zalety i wady.
This paper describes results of investigation which main aim was to prepare methodology of measurement of deformation of adherent element in adhesive joint. Two different methodology of measurement were considered. Both of them are based on vision system. Research were conduct on adhesive joint specimen subjected to peel. In first paragraph was presented 3D Digital Image Correlation methodology. Potential of ARAMIS system was presented that based on this method. In this case measurement system is equipped with two digital cameras which records specimen during strength test and then upon analysis on personal computer we can obtain displacement or strain field in require area of specimen. Second method of measurement presented in article based on microscope. Optical microscope equipped with digital camera was used to register displacement of particular field of specimen during strength test. Registered movie was processed using Image Acquisition Toolbox MATLAB to obtain binary image of these area. It enables to retrieve displacement in time. In summary both of method were compared.
