Opis:
Use cases are usually treated as second class citizens in the software development chain based on models. Their textual descriptions (scenarios) are treated as informal input to more formal design models that can then be (semi-)automatically transformed down to code. In this paper we will show that use case scenarios can gain precise metamodel-based notation and semantics enabling automatic processing. What is more, we will show transformation algorithms that can transform use case scenarios directly to dynamic code in Java. The presented transformation can generate the full structure of the system following the MVP architectural pattern, including complete method contents for the application logic (Presenter) and presentation (View) layers. It also provides a code skeleton for the domain logic (Model) layer. The use case notation and the transformation were implemented within a sophisticated tool suite. Based on this, the paper discusses the evaluation efforts based on a case study.

Opis:
Maternally derived antibodies (MDA) don not protect turkeys against rhinotracheitis (TRT) but high MDA influences upper respiratory tract (URT) immunity stimulation after avian Metapneumovirus (aMPV) vaccination. Humoral immunity can not be considered as an indicator of protection against TRT, but specific antibodies inhibit aMPV replication and alleviate the course of TRT. Scarce reports indicate the role of IgA in protection against TRT. The aim of our study was to investigate the impact of MDA on stimulation, antigen specificity acquisition of B lymphocytes, and the production of specific IgA after TRT vaccination of turkeys. The results of our study indicate that MDA on the day of TRT vaccination causes disturbances at different levels of specific humoral immunity expression including antigen specificity acquisition of B IgA+ lymphocytes as well as production and secretion of IgA. Vaccine immunity against aMPV associated with sIgA is well expressed in birds not possessing MDA on the day of TRT vaccination, whereas it is inhibited in MDA+ birds. These results corroborate our previous findings and indicate that MDA could be responsible for TRT vaccination failure. These findings could explain the observed frequency of TRT field outbreaks despite aMPV vaccination of turkey flocks.

Opis:
This review article presents immunological issues in the course of the turkey rhinotracheitis (TRT) emphasizing local immunity mechanisms, both humoral and cell-mediated, in the upper respiratory system. Studies on the influence of the humoral immunity in the course of infection and vaccinations against TRT have revealed many times the absence of correlation between the titre of specific IgY anti-aMPV (avian Metapneumovirus) antibodies in the serum and in the upper respiratory washings and the immunity against the occurrence of the clinical form of the TRT. Considering the above, T cells are increasingly often regarded as the main factor involved in the upper respiratory immunity against the TRT. However, there have been just a few reports on the role of the T cells in the local immunity processes in the infection with aMPV in turkeys. Additionally, studies of the T-cell-associated immunity against the TRT have given ambiguous results. Immunoprophylaxis issues against the aMPV infections are a significant part of the work where the authors confront current vaccination programmes against the perspectives of use of the future vaccines against the TRT. Future vaccines should face the following criteria: absence of the risk of immunosuppressive effect and reversion of vaccine strains virulence, ease-of-use combined with the possibility of administration of the vaccine to the large numbers of turkeys. The leading role in future vaccination programs for birds against the TRT is likely to be played by the in ovo technique and the recombinant vaccines. Great hopes are also linked with the development of subunit vaccines against the aMPV.

Opis:
As immunosuppression in pigeons is common and results in reduced post-vaccination immunity and lower health status of the birds, studies have been taken up aimed at evaluation of the effect of three doses of methisoprinol on the percentage of CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocyte subpopulation in peripheral blood and in the spleen and the titre of anti-NDV antibodies in the serum of pigeons in four groups (A, B, C, D), with 20 birds each. Pigeons in each group were immunised against paramyxovirosis at week 6 and 9 of life. Water for injection (group A – control) or methisoprinol at 100 mg/ kg of body weight (group B), 200 mg/kg of body weight (group C) and 600 mg/kg of body weight (group D) was administered intramuscularly for 3 days before each vaccination. The immunological analyses were carried out by flow cytometry and the ELISA test. The findings indicate that methisoprinol administered intramuscularly at 100 and 200 mg/kg of body weight for 3 successive days before vaccination against paramyxovirosis mainly stimulates the mechanisms of non-specific humoral and cellular immunity, which is indicated by a higher percentage of the subpopulation of CD4+ T lymphocytes in peripheral blood and in the spleen and a higher titre of anti-NDV antibodies.

Future Internet technologies necessitate dramatic changes in system design, delivery and usage patterns. For many legacy applications it means that their further development and transition to the Internet becomes problematic or even impossible due to the obsolescence of technologies they use. Replacement of the old system with the new one, built from scratch, is usually economically unacceptable. Therefore, there is a call for methods and tools supporting the automated migration of legacy systems into a new paradigm. This paper proposes a tool supported method for recovery and migration of application logic information from legacy systems. The information extracted from a legacy application is stored in the form of precise requirement-level models enabling automated transformation into a new system structure in a model-driven way. Evaluation of the approach is based on a case study legacy system.

One of the most commonly applied vaccination strategies against chicken infectious bursal disease (IBD) is the use of live vaccines at the optimal time estimated with the use of Deventer formula. The present study investigated the impact of different factors on maternally derived antibodies decline and therefore on the vaccination schedule against IBD. Our results suggest that blood collection from birds older than 3 days is more reliable in order to estimate the optimal date for IBD vaccination, due to disturbances in yolk sac resorption early after hatch.

The space between the subjective and objective fills a person’s identity. It is knowledge about oneself, about the difference between oneself and others / strangers, about one’s own actions, their effects and consequences. It is likewise knowledge of one’s own uniqueness, of the consequences of one’s own actions that define the limits of one’s own identity. Identity is a personal internal space, built on the basis of empathy, autonomy, distance, assertiveness, activity, and tolerance. Identity is different dimensions of individuality, uniqueness and separateness, compatibility of thoughts-feelings-actions, self-esteem and intentionality important for interpersonal and social conflicts. It serves to build and consolidate an image of oneself and knowledge about oneself. Identity allows a person to self-reflect, receive insight, evaluate, make changes, and strengthens the image of his/her person, offering a sense of separateness and being yourself.

Opis:
The world of social norms and values is constantly embedded in the teacher’s actions and the educational theories they recognise, in their didactic end educational successes and failures, in professional adaptation and evaluation, in didacticism and educational inspiration, and in the case of a few, in educational leadership deprived of the external and personal world. In every dimension of the teacher’s pedagogical activities there is a link between the acquired theoretical knowledge and the professional attitude. The pedagogical approximation into specific theories and pedagogical ideas is illustrated by the professional attitude of the teacher, interpersonal relations with students and the teaching staff. The knowledge of pedagogical paradigms, the realization of diverse ideas can be a factor in a teacher’s pedagogical success, as there is no single theory, explaining and suitable for a specific school community in the educational space. Contemporary pedagogical theories, like never in the past, are becoming a creator of social mentality in multicultural environments. They are becoming a “civilizational hope” for the reduction of traditional “prescriptive-distributive” thinking, as well as subject-based, directive and authoritarian education, and educational impossibilism in schools. Contemporary pedagogical controversies around the relationship of education and leadership do not have antagonistic content, elements that are pedagogically and socially opposed. They interact with each other in various and multi-level ways in the space of humanistic pedagogy and human resource management, they are a pedagogical dualism in the sphere of descriptive and relational narrative, critical thinking, without space for academic logomachia. The growing interest in the teacher’s autonomy, teacher’s independence, the dimensions of the presence in the pedagogical community, and the pursuit of individual needs are issues of external educational affiliation. What educational and cultural dimension should constitute the pedagogical habitus of a modern teacher? From the content of many pedagogical publications, a conclusion emerges that in education, it is not the teachers who become the motivators of exceeding knowledge and skills for themselves, but the students who exceed their teachers. Such a confrontation of the two worlds: teachers, representing institutionalised education and students (more precisely: learners), having one common goal – mutual understanding, which already requires a change in the generation paradigm, methods of operation, education (students and teachers), modification of the education already acquired, transformation of the model of “becoming” a teacher (usually based on authority – still traditional) more effectively appealing to students and systematic use of the new technological solutions in the education process. Increasingly, many pedagogical ideas and theories are starting to signal the need to transpose the role of the teacher in the spectrum of expert-conceptual practitioner, which is based on the methods and techniques of learning, i.e. critical thinking.

In the contemporary and dynamic educational reality, also known as socialization, a young person (or is it just a young one [sic!]) in a process of gaining experience, instead of understanding the environment better with time, gets lost, has problems with self-determination, struggles between the important and the irrelevant, the desired and the redundant, good and harmful. The wisdom and educational experience, the educational process and recognized educational influences should become helpful. The pragmatism of the theory of cognition often allows for conclusions and reflections on every process of scientific cognition. In the area of axiology, it may constitute a “pillar of pedagogical initiation”. In view of the holistic format of the majority of educational phenomena, the subject as a balanced dialogue and consistent in the autonomy of leadership (especially educational!) fits perfectly well the latest theories and trends of modern pedagogical, psychological and social knowledge as well as theories of inter-/intrapersonal management. The above indications are the basis for a wise leadership in education and an upbringing in leadership. Knowledge of leadership issues, understood as the process of socialization, may wisely support and strengthen educational influences. Otherwise, by unwise influences, from the pedagogical point of view, something can be irretrievably lost and wasted. To understand the phenomenon of leadership, you must first thoroughly analyze the issue of leadership in groups, trying to show relationships with other people in the process. This is vital due to the frequent confusion of the concepts of leadership and management, or leadership and command. Leadership is often recognized via its chief attribute by e.g. persistence of community, debates, personalization of tasks and actions, bonds of belonging, dynamisms of interpersonal relations (atmosphere and culture in task situations) and roles as an axiom of task decision-making.

Opis:
This review article presents fundamental mechanisms of the local mucosal immunity in selected regions of the respiratory tract in healthy birds and in some pathological conditions. The respiratory system, whose mucosa come into direct contact with microorganisms contaminating inhaled air, has some associated structures, such as Harderian gland (HG), conjunctive-associated lymphoid tissue (CALT) and paranasal glands (PG), whose participation in local mechanisms of the mucosal immunity has been corroborated by numerous scientific studies. The nasal mucosa, with structured clusters of lymphoid tissue (NALT – nasal-associated lymphoid tissue) is the first to come into contact with microorganisms which contaminate inhaled air. Lymphoid nodules, made up of B cells with frequently developed germinal centres (GC), surrounded by a coat of CD4+ cells, are the major NALT structures in chickens, whereas CD8+ cells are situated in the epithelium and in the lamina propria of the nasal cavity mucosa. Studies into respiratory system infections (e.g. Mycoplasma gallisepticum) have shown the reactivity of the tracheal mucosa to infection, despite a lack of essential lymphoid tissue. Bronchus-associated lymphoid tissue (BALT) takes part in bronchial immune processes and its structure, topography and ability to perform defensive function in birds is largely age-dependent. Mature BALT is covered by a delicate layer of epithelial cells, called follicle-associated epithelium (FAE). Germinal centres (GC), surrounded by CD4+ cells are developed in most mature BALT nodules, while CD8+ lymphocytes are dispersed among lymphoid nodules and in the epithelium, and they are rarely present in GC. Macrophages make up the first line of defence mechanisms through which the host rapidly responds to microorganisms and their products in the respiratory mucosal system. Another very important element are polymorphonuclear cells, with heterophils being the most important of them. Phagocytic cells obtained from lung lavages in birds are referred to as FARM (free avian respiratory macrophages). Their number in chickens and turkeys is estimated to be 20 times lower than that in mice and rats, which indicates a deficit in the first-line of defence in the birds’ respiratory system. There are numerous B cells and antibody secreting cells (ASC) present throughout the respiratory system in birds. Their role comes down to perform antigen-specific protection by producing antibodies (IgM, IgY or IgA class) as a result of contact with pathogenic factors.

When are a teacher’s education and qualifications of less importance than his/her competences? There are teachers for whom work is only an obligation, a duty towards the school, and education is the obligation of a student. They are teachers working with children only because it is their legal duty. But there are also teachers who teach students how to learn, instilling in them educational freedom.
