La présente esquisse a trait aux poésies lyriques écrites avec de la vie et, en même temps, avec des signes de la mémoire. Le point de départ, c'est le poème d'un des plus importants poètes, essayistes et penseurs polonais de notre siècle, Aleksander Wat (1900-1967), poème intitulé La Comptabilité (Buchalteria), où une mise au point dramatique de la vie se trouve réalisée par des données autobiographiques et des autocitations aussi bien que par des références culturelles. En quise de complément aux considérations sur La Comptabilité et sur de nombreux vers derniers de Wat, l'auteur propose des remarques concernant les textes d'adieux d'autres poètes polonais, p. ex. Julian Przyboś, Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz, Tadeusz Różewicz. Tous ces textes, constituant une mise au point d'existences authentiques, sont du même coup une création consciente de la biographie à l'aide de la langue du mythe. Le problème central, ce n'est guère ici l'originalité, mais la difficile sincérité du poète qui se souvient; du poète concluant avec le lecteur un pacte référentiel („je promets de dire la vérité”), et en même temps mettant en oeuvre − dans le compte rendu des pertes et des gains de sa vie − des masques et des costumes historiques, reconnaissables. Les poèmes d'Aleksander Wat, jusqu'à la limite du supportable pour la sensibilité de lecteur imprégnés du „moi” subjectif, autobiographiques presque sans pudeur, sont en même temps des „rotations d'identifications” et des reflets d'une multitude de destins et d'émotions d'autrui antérieurs. Le poète faisait appel à des rôles stigmatisés par la douleur, le péché, l'imprudence ou la hardiesse inconsidérée, en évoquant des personnages qui forment une pinacothèque de la mémoire; ce sont, entre autres, Job, le roi David, Jonas, Isae, Lazare, Macbeth, Hamlet, Empédocle, Orphée, Ulysse, Bosch, Hölderlin, Nicodème, Michel-Ange, le Christ, S. Weil, Breughel, Pascal, Heidegger, Baudelaire, Thomas à Kempis. Grâce aux citations, allusions, stylisations et collages, les oeuvres de ce poète de la culture consistent essentiellement à apprivoiser la maladie, la souffrance, la culpabilité, la nécessité de régler les factures, l'expérience de la mort enfin. Ce sont en quelque sorte des stations successives sur la voie du chercheur de la vraie connaissance, qui veut − voire même doit − retrouver dans des artefacts du passé des reflets de double, afin de témoigner ainsi de la vérité de lui-même et de son destin. Il n'y a ici aucune place pour la naveté ou un lyrisme anachronique, absent également de la poésie „infinitive” tardive de Mickiewicz.

The erudite article is to a large extent a reconstruction of Mr Cogito's various biographical, psychological and textual entanglements. The author sees in the protagonist the poet's „masks” and she interprets them as the „I” outside the text: she describes the mechanism of transforming life into a morality parable and the „suspension” between the poles of genuine and poetic existence. The reader's attention is drawn to the significant self-correction made after twenty years, which the author of the article interprets as a transition from the plane of the protagonist's experiences to the sphere of the experiences of the poet who hides his emotions connected with direct touching the „abyss” in a seemingly impersonal commentary. The author also presents in detail Herbert's semantics of the „abyss”.

Artykuł jest próbą odkrycia w twórczości Pasierba głównych wyznaczników kondycji poety, jego doświadczeń, poczucia społecznego i kulturowego statusu. Autorka rozprawy poprzez analizy konkretnych tekstów i ich relacji z obrazami sztuki wizualnej pokazuje modelującą wtym zakresie semantycznym funkcję takich pojęć jak wygnanie, uwięzienie czy zniewolenie. Odwołanie do hermeneutyki spod znaku Paula Ricoeura umożliwiło dodatkowo postawienie ważnych tez, odnoszących się do całości dzieła poety, a wskazujących na istotną dla niego problematykę odpowiedzialności i istnienia prawdziwego (tożsamości). Artykuł dowodzi, że poezja Pasierba jest korektą kulturowego stereotypu.
The article is an attempt at discovering the main determinants of Pasierb’s condition, his experiences, his social sense and cultural status in the poet’s works. By analyzing actual texts and their relations with pictures of visual art the author of the paper shows the function of such concepts as exile, confinement or constraint that is a modeling one in the semantic range. Referring to hermeneutics of the Ricoeur type has additionally made it possible to put forward important theses concerning the whole of the poet’s work, and pointing to the issue of responsibility and true existence (identity) that is important to him. The article proves that Pasierb’s poetry is a correction of the cultural stereotype.

This category has turned out to be important from the perspective of the axiological dimension of literary genres. Maciejewski assesses that contemplation is a pre-textual category and has hierarchical features in hermeneutics.

Maciejewski focused his attention on testimonies of troubled and bruised existence of ‘the sin’s shame’. He looked upon masterpieces, reading them closely, critically and with great intensity. Maciejewski took creative awareness (especially romantic one) and formulated a strong synthesis of demands and realisations in such a way that the language of discourse was revised. This language is nowadays used not only to talk about the very phenomena Maciejewski was concerned with.

Autorka charakteryzuje postawę badawczą prof. M. Maciejewskiego jako historyka literatury oraz nauczyciela akademickiego. Krytyka kerygmatyczna jest prezentowana jako hermeneutyczna postawa badawcza (nie zaś metodologia), zmierzająca do odkrycia chrześcijańskiego wymiaru dzieła. Artykuł dowodzi, że dzięki maksymalnie pełnej interpretacji (w aspekcie poetyki historycznej) oraz zaangażowanej postawie czytelnika utworu (w aspekcie aksjologii), sztuka ujawnia osobowy, tożsamościowy kontekst macierzysty.
The author characterizes Prof. M. Maciejewski's research attitude as one taken by a historian of literature and an academic teacher. Kerygmatic criticism is presented as a hermeneutic research attitude (and not as methodology), whose goal is to discover a Christian dimension of the studied work. The article proves that owing to an interpretation that will be maximally complete (in the aspect of historical poetics) and to an involved attitude of the reader of the work (in the aspect of axiology) the art reveals its personal, identical, original context.

The importance of the plays by Karpowicz is based on the wise originality of them and the determination in an attempt to construct “a map of meanings”.
