- Opis:
- Methodology for creating precipitation patterns for modeling of land drainage Due to the lack of reliable precipitation patterns in Poland, Euler type II or DVWK model rainfalls used in Germany are recommended for modeling the rainfall-runoff phenomenon. However, there is no verification of the shape of these models in Polish climatic conditions. The purpose of the research was to develop and test a methodology for analyzing the shapes of local hyetographs used to verify precipitation patterns applied for modeling the reliability of land drainage systems. Precipitation data from 2 characteristic measurement networks were selected for testing: mountain – IMGW-PIB in Jelenia Góra and lowland – IMGW-PIB and MPWiK in Wrocław. The scope of research included: selection of methods for determining the independence of precipitation phenomena and precipitation grouping for qualitative analyzes of the similarity of local rainfall hyetographs; Defining mass distribution and unevenness in time indicators of local precipitation for quantitative analyzes of similarities in the shapes of Euler type II and DVWK reference hyetographs in dimensionless and dimensional forms; Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the similarity of local hyetograph shapes to Euler type II and DVWK standards, including genetic precipitation types: convective (K), frontal (F) and low-pressure (N) and exceedance frequency classes: C ≥ 1 year, C ≥ 2 years , C ≥ 5 years, C ≥ 10 years; Verification of Euler type II and DVWK pattern shapes for local precipitation, with generalization of test results for mountain and lowland stations. In order to isolate independent precipitation phenomena, the own methodology for determining precipitation intervals (MDPD) was proposed. For statistical analyses, precipitations with frequencies exceeding C (T) ≥ 1 year were selected, based on established DDF precipitation time series for selected stations. Three research methods were proposed for rainfall grouping due to the similarity of physical characteristics of hyetographs: Huff, cluster analysis using the Ward method and the k-means method. These methods, and especially the k-means method, proved to be useful for precipitation selection (K, F, and N). Statistical analysis of the similarity of local shapes of hyetographs was performed within the separated k = 4 clusters, based on calculations of parameters describing: geometrical location of the peaks, mass distributions and unevenness of intensity over time, defined by 6 indicators. The results of comparative analyses showed differences in the shape of local hyetographs relative to Euler type II standards, and especially DVWK. On this basis, detailed forms of model precipitation patterns for the studied stations have been proposed, which has scientific and practical significance.
