Uderzającą cechą dzisiejszej rzeczywistości są szybkie zmiany w przestrzeni społecznej, które przejawiają się w rozwoju elementów indywidualizmu i propagowaniu kultu sukcesu, szczególnie wśród młodego pokolenia. Upowszechnia się proces osiągania za wszelką cenę własnych celów z nieliczeniem się z pragnieniami i ambicjami innych osób. Gorzej jednak jeżeli uderzają w człowieka różnego rodzaju porażki życiowe, na które ludzie z takim stylem życia są nieprzygotowani. Autor artykułu pragnie ukazać na podstawie własnych badań, w jakim stopniu czeska młodzież akademicka podchodzi do porażek życiowych.
The striking feature of today’s reality is rapid changes in the social space that manifest themselves in the development of elements of individualism and propagating the cult of success, especially among the younger generation. The process of achieving their own goals at all costs is becoming widespread, with the lack of desires and ambitions of other people. Worse, however, if they hit people with various types of life failures, for which people with such a lifestyle are unprepared. The author of the article would like to show, based on his own research, to what extent Czech academic youth is approaching life’s failures.

Opis:
The article presents information and literature data that were the basis for the analysis of processes and mechanisms of the reaction of oxidation of fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) and B10 diesel oil during long-term storage. Methyl esters of higher fatty acids (FAME) are a mixture of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated FAME molecules. Based on the obtained data, it was shown that polyunsaturated molecules are more susceptible to oxidation, and methylene groups (–CH2–), adjacent to unsaturated carbon atoms in the chain fatty acids are the site of attack and the beginning of the oxidation process. The collected information confirmed that the more unsaturated bonds in the fatty acid chain, the more FAME is prone to oxygen attack and oxidative instability. In addition to the factors resulting from the structure of the higher fatty acid esters molecule FAME and B10 fuel, trace amounts of metal ions play an important role in the oxidation process. It has been confirmed that the presence of metal ions accelerates the oxidation process. The article presents and describes the diagram of the mechanisms of oxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acid esters (FAME) and the second integrated oxidation process of higher fatty acid esters (FAME) with competitive alternative oxidation reactions. B10 diesel oxidation resistance is highly dependent on the oxidation resistance of fatty acid esters (FAME). The oxidative stability of B10 diesel fuel and its propensity to form complex oxidation products is also affected by the quality of diesel fuel itself and the reactivity of the groups that affect the formation of complex oxidation products. Based on the literature data, it was found that the most reactive groups responsible for the formation of fuel insoluble sediments include: hydrocarbons with unsaturated bonds, organic nitrogen and sulfur compounds and organic oxygen-containing compounds. In both discussed cases, i.e. fatty acid esters (FAME) and B10 fuels, in addition to the factors discussed above, the oxidation process is also affected by storage conditions, in particular the concentration of oxidation inhibitors, storage temperature and light exposure and oxygen availability. The final part of the article discusses the effect of oxidation inhibitors on the aging of diesel containing (FAME) during storage.

Opis:
Based on the results of tests and studies, the article presents the effect of the new Energocet® cetane-detergent additive on the oxidation stability and susceptibility to oxidation of B10 refined diesel oils according to the Rancimat PN-EN 15751: 2010 and PetroOXY PN 16091: 2011 method. Before starting the work, a literature review was carried out in terms of understanding this topic. Moving on to the research, the goals to be achieved were to compose a modern cetane-detergent package called Energocet® and show the effect of this cetane additive on the thermo-oxidative stability of the B10 type oils based on the results of the research on the peroxygen number and stability of the composed fuels. The research was carried out on the basis of raw materials, products and components available on the Polish fuel and biofuel market. In order to check the effectiveness and impact of the new Energocet® additive package on the quality of the composed fuels, one typical base diesel oil and two FAME components from different manufacturers were used in the research. In the research, for the preparation of the B10 base research fuels, one base A diesel oil and 2 types of methyl esters of rapeseed oil fatty acids (RME) marked as B and C were used. The work was of technological and analytical nature. Based on the results obtained from the tests of the Energocet® cetane detergent additive in diesel oils containing FAME in the amount of 10% (V/V) (B10), their thermo-oxidative stability was determined after three and six weeks of storage under test conditions. Additionally, the optimal dosing level of the Energocet® cetane-detergent package in the amount of 1500 mg/kg in B10 diesel oils with RME-B and RME-C was determined. The tendency of the improved tested fuels to generate free radicals during the six-week storage of samples at the temperature of 43°C, determined as peroxide number, was also presented. The obtained results confirmed that the Energocet® cetane detergent additive has a positive effect on the quality parameters of B10 fuels, including thermo-oxidative stability.

In this article, a study of nonmetallic inclusions introduced during the casting process of the aluminum–silicon alloy is presented. The samples were investigated using a scanning electron microscope to find the chemical composition and X-ray tomography to check the volumetric content of the non-metallic inclusions. The samples were made from AlSi7Mg alloy, used for car wheels, with 7% weight content of Si, 89% of Al, and 0.3% of Mg. The main goal of our investigations was to find out the chemical composition of the impurities and to identify the stage of the casting process at which the impurities are introduced.
