We study a division problem in the Hardy classes $H^{p}()$ of the unit ball of $ℂ^{2}$ which generalizes the $H^{p}$ corona problem, the generators being allowed to have common zeros. MPrecisely, if S is a subset of , we study conditions on a $ℂ^{k}$-valued bounded Mholomorphic function B, with $B_{|S} = 0$, in order that for 1 ≤ p < ∞ and any function $f ∈ H^{p}()$ with $f_{|S} = 0$ there is a $ℂ^{k}$-valued $H^{p}()$ holomorphic function F with f = B·F, i.e. the module generated by the components of B in the Hardy class $H^{p}()$ is the entire module $M_{S}:= {f ∈ H^{p}(): f_{|S} = 0 }$. As a special case, for S = ∅, we get the $H^{p}$ corona theorem.

Opis:
Geomorphology depicts the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of both terrain and landscape features combined with the processes responsible for its evolution. Soil erosion by water involves processes, which removes soil particles and organic matter from the upper sheet of the soil surface, and then transports the eroded material to distant location under the action of water. Very few studies have been conducted on the nature and dynamics of soil erosion in the different geomorphologic features. In the present investigation, an attempt has been made to assess the control of geomorphologic features on the soil loss. Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) was used to determine soil loss from the various geomorphological landforms. Principal component analysis (PCA) was implemented on the USLE parameters to determine the degree of association between the individual principal components and the USLE-derived soil loss. Results obtained from the investigation signify the influence of the various landforms on soil erosion. PC5 is found to be significantly correlated with the USLE-derived soil loss. The results ascertained significant association between the soil loss and geomorphological landforms, and therefore, suitable strategies can be implemented to alleviate soil loss in the individual landforms.

Opis:
Medicinal nail lacquers are the most effective topical treatment of nail diseases. These formulations generally are organic solutions of the active substance as well as film-forming polymer and plasticizer, which affects the characteristics of the film formed after application and solvent evaporation. The aim of this work was to test effects of plasticizer present in nail lacquer formulations on permeation kinetics of fluconazole through the bovine hoof membrane in a novel in vitro test. The formulations contained Eudragit RS100 dissolved in acetone, and dibutyl-phthalate, PEG 400 or propylene glycol as plasticizers present in two different concentrations. Permeation studies were carried out during 7-day period, and the obtained permeability profiles analyzed using similarity and difference factors, and by model dependent permeation kinetics. When analyzed within the same strength, the highest extent of fluconazole permeation was obtained from formulation with lower concentration of propylene glycol at 0.9% fluconazole concentration, while for formulations with 1.8% and 2.7% of fluconazole, the highest permeation was achieved from formulation with the higher content of PEG400. The permeation profiles showed greater difference within one formulation of different fluconazole content, than with the same plasticizer present in different concentrations, when using dibutyl-phthalate and PEG400. Permeation profiles were similar when using propylene glycol. When comparing formulations with the same concentration of plasticizers, there were differences in formulations with the higher fluconazole concentrations. Permeation kinetics depended on fluconazole concentration as well as the path length the active substance had to pass to reach the receptor solution.

Opis:
Real radar data often consist of a mixture of Gaussian and non-Gaussian clutter. Such a situation creates one or more inflexion points in the curve of the empirical cumulative distributed function (CDF). In order to obtain an accurate fit with sea reverberation data, we propose, in this paper, a trimodal gamma disturbance model and two parameter estimators. The non-linear least-squares (NLS) fit approach is used to avoid computational issues associated with the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) and moments-based estimator for parameters of the mixture model. For this purpose, a combination of moment fit and complementary CDF (CCDF) NLS fit methods is proposed. The simplex minimization algorithm is used to simultaneously obtain all parameters of the model. In the case of a single gamma probability density function, a zlog(z) method is derived. Firstly, simulated life tests based on a gamma population with different shape parameter values are worked out. Then, numerical illustrations show that both MLE and zlog(z) methods produce closer results. The proposed trimodal gamma distribution with moments NLS fit and CCDF NLS fit estimators is validated to be in qualitative agreement with different cell resolutions of the available IPIX database.

Opis:
Fires in underground mines can create dangerous conditions for personnel and cause severe damage to property. Because of the confined nature of the underground environment, these effects can escalate rapidly. In underground mines, air ducts/bags are used for ventilating narrow blind headings; these consist of combustible materials that have not been investigated thoroughly in terms of their fire potential and gas emissions. The primary objective of this study is to investigate the fire potential and emission factors for these ducts. A preliminary investigation was performed using differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis. These tests provide crucial information for duct samples including the melting point which is used for designing a novel experimental setup for combustion analysis. This setup was used to perform a combustion experiment at 350 °C, so that all specimens can achieve complete combustion. Furthermore, the heat release rate and emission factors were calculated; it was observed that heat release rate for all the specimens was identical because of similar oxygen consumption during the experiment. Sample B has the lowest emission factor among the four samples (A, B, C, D) tested in this study.

Opis:
Less than ten years ago, Algeria embarked on an energy transition with the objectives of sustainable development. Although it concerns all economic sectors, efforts made in the field of road transport, as the main polluter and energy consumer at the national level, are far from being sufficient despite its inclusion in policy statements. This sector is operational exclusively on fossil and exhaustible energies whereas its atmospheric pollutants and gaseous emissions are highly harmful to the environment, public health and the economy. Thus, this paper points out the emergency of an energy transition in the road transport sector to clean and renewable energy as a necessity rather than a choice. It highlights, first, the characteristics of the Algerian automobile fleet and its various impacts and damages on the environment, public health and the economy. Furthermore, it evaluates the various policy initiatives towards sustainable transport and their deficiencies. Hence, the right attitudes and regulatory instruments towards sustainable transport in Algeria are recommended.

Opis:
Data aggregation is the process aimed at reducing the transmission count of packets being transmitted in the framework of in-network data processing. It is the data transmission model that takes the information transmitted from different nodes and generates a single data packet after finding and eliminating the redundant packets. Accordingly, this process decreases the transmission count and makes it possible to consume less energy. The major issues in data aggregation mechanism are related to reduction of latency and to energy balancing. Moreover, it is very complex to resolve the issue of packet loss, which is the failure of one or more transmitted packets to arrive at their destination due to the bad and/or congested channel conditions. The present survey involves a collection of 50 research papers dealing with the data aggregation models in wireless sensor networks (WSN). Various data aggregation methods, like the cluster-based approach, structure-free method, tree-based approach, in-network methods, and energy based aggregation model are considered in this survey, regarding the application and the energy usage involved. On the basis of the survey, the issues and drawbacks faced by the respective methodologies are highlighted. In addition, the paper presents simple statistics of the studies considered with respect to the performance measures, simulation tools, publication year, and classification of methods. The future dimensions of the respective research are supposed to be based on the challenges identified in this survey.

Opis:
Most of the wireless sensor networks (WSNs) used in healthcare and security sectors are affected by the battery constraints, which cause a low network lifetime problem and prevents these networks from achieving their maximum performance. It is anticipated that by combining fuzzy logic (FL) approximation reasoning approach with WSN, the complex behavior of WSN will be easier to handle. In healthcare, WSNs are used to track activities of daily living (ADL) and collect data for longitudinal studies. It is easy to understand how such WSNs could be used to violate people’s privacy. The main aim of this research is to address the issues associated with battery constraints for WSN and resolve these issues. Such an algorithm could be successfully applied to environmental monitoring for healthcare systems where a dense sensor network is required and the stability period should be high.

Opis:
computational fluid dynamics The performance of the internal flow of the fuel injector is impeded by several factors. The nozzle is one of the factors, being typically about a millimeter long and a fraction of a millimeter in diameter. Cavitation inside the diesel injector nozzle is associated with local pressure distribution. At flow areas with sharp corners, the pressure may locally drop below vapour pressure. The aim of this study is to assess the impact of turbulence and cavitation models on the prediction of flow in diesel injection nozzle. In the present study, an analysis of an existing 6 hole mini-sac diesel injector nozzle is carried out using a CFD package. The main objective of the research is to design a nozzle to avoid cavitation and to find out the contribution of different parameters through parametric study. Cavitation is a complex phenomenon whose appearance depends on the physical as well as flow properties of the flowing substance. Thus, for a better visualization of cavitation, a 3D CFD simulation of mini-sac injector nozzle is carried out. An analysis of a single nozzle hole of a mini-sac diesel injector nozzle is considered for the analysis, as the flow is uniformly distributed through each nozzle. As the three-dimensional geometry of mini-sac nozzle is complicated, therefore tet/hybrid element with T-Grid meshing scheme is used, for good surface meshing. The analysis is carried out at injection pressure of 5 00 bar. The CFDresults are validated against test data with the maximum deviation for the mass flow rate of 8.67% at full needle lift.

Various methods of deconvolution have been developed for several decades, notably in astronomy and microscopy. The extension of these techniques to the case of a spatially varied blur is currently an open problem. In this work, we consider a zone-invariant point spread function model to take into account blur variation in the image. Thus an algorithm has been used where the minimization of the criterion is performed in parallel on different areas of the image, while taking into account the estimates in the neighboring areas of the sub-images under consideration, so that the final solution is the minimum of the criterion where the blur is spatially varied.
