Opis:
Open-pit mining activities, including blasting, drilling, loading, and transport, often result in the direct emission of particulates and gases into the atmosphere. Occupational exposure to these pollutants is considered as the risk for health, especially the risk of developing respiratory diseases. An air quality monitoring system and spatial analysis are necessary to identify these potential hazards. In this study, we propose an air quality monitoring system that integrates gas and dust sensors into a small multi-rotor copter or unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Different spatial interpolation methods including trilinear interpolation, nearest neighbour, and natural neighbour applied to the monitoring data (CO, SO2, PM2.5, CO2) from our system to derive air concentration levels in the atmosphere of open-pit coal mines were also examined. The results show that the UAV based air quality monitoring system performed efficiently and safely in conditions of deep open-pit coal mines. In addition, for the estimation of the concentration level of gases and dust in unsampled points, trilinear interpolation performed with the most accurate result, followed by natural neighbor and nearest neighbor.
Wielorakie działalności ư górnictwie odkrywkowym, w tym roboty strzelnicze, wiertnicze, załadowania, transport, zwałowania itp. często prowadzi do bezpośredniej emisji pyłów i gazów do atmosfery. Zanieczyszczenie powietrza na terenie zakładu górniczego uważane jest za zagrożenie dla zdrowia pracowników i górników, zwłaszcza ryzyko rozwoju chorób układu oddechowego. Aby zidentyfikować te potencjalne zagrożenia, niezbędny jest system monitorowania jakości powietrza i analiza przestrzenna. W artykule, przedstawiono wyniki zastosowania system monitorowania jakości powietrza, który integruje czujniki gazu i pyłu w pospolitym wielowirnikowym helikopterze lub bezzałogowym statku powietrznym (BSP). Zbadano również różne metody interpolacji przestrzennej, w tym interpolację trójliniową, najbliższego sąsiada i naturalnego sąsiada, zastosowane do danych z monitoringu (CO, SO2, PM2.5, CO2) z badanego systemu w celu wyznaczenia poziomów stężenia powietrza w atmosferze kopalni odkrywkowych. Wyniki pokazują, że system monitorowania jakości powietrza oparty na BSP działał sprawnie i bezpiecznie w warunkach głębokich odkrywkowych kopalń węgla kamiennego. Dodatkowo, do oszacowania poziomu stężeń gazów i pyłów w niepróbkowanych punktach zastosowano interpolację trójliniową z najdokładniejszym wynikiem, a po kolei naturalny sąsiad i najbliższy sąsiad.

In the external target experiment for heavy ion collisions in the HIRFL-CSR, Multi-Wire Drift Chambers are used to measure the drift time of charged particles to obtain the track information. This 128-channel high precision time measurement module is designed to perform the time digitization. The data transfer is based on a PXI interface to guarantee a high data rate. Test results show that a 100 ps resolution with a data transfer rate up to 40 MBps has been achieved; this module has also been proven to function well with the detector through a commissioning test.

Opis:
Air overpressure (AOp) is one of the products of blasting operations in open-pit mines which have a great impact on the environment and public health. It can be dangerous for the lungs, brain, hearing and the other human senses. In addition, the impact on the surrounding environment such as the vibration of buildings, break the glass door systems are also dangerous agents caused by AOp. Therefore, it should be properly controlled and forecasted to minimize the impacts on the environment and public health. In this paper, a Lasso and Elastic-Net Regularized Generalized Linear Model (GLMNET) was developed for predicting blast-induced AOp. The United States Bureau of Mines (USBM) empirical technique was also applied to estimate blast-induced AOp and compare with the developed GLMNET model. Nui Beo open-pit coal mine, Vietnam was selected as a case study. The performance indices are used to evaluate the performance of the models, including Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Determination Coefficient (R2), and Mean Absolute Error (MAE). For this aim, 108 blasting events were investigated with the Maximum of explosive charge capacity, monitoring distance, powder factor, burden, and the length of stemming were considered as input variables for predicting AOp. As a result, a robust GLMNET model was found for predicting blast-induced AOp with an RMSE of 1.663, R2 of 0.975, and MAE of 1.413 on testing datasets. Whereas, the USBM empirical method only reached an RMSE of 2.982, R2 of 0.838, and MAE of 2.162 on testing datasets.

The effects of water extracts of Chenopodium album leaves and roots on the growth of grass weed (Setaria viridis) and broad leaf weed (Corchorus olitorius) grown with beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) in greenhouse pots were studied in the National Research Centre, Giza, Egypt. In this experiment fresh leaf and root extracts and their corresponding dry leaf and root extracts at different concentrations were used. There were significant inhibitions in the dry weights of S. viridis and C. olitorius by all extracts at the flowering stage of beans and at harvest. The inhibition effect of all C. album extracts on both weeds (dry weight/pot) depended on the extracted plant organ (leaf or root), its fresh or dry form as well as its concentrations. The inhibition caused by the leaf extract was much higher on weed growth than that of root extract. A higher concentration of fresh leaf extract (25%) had the highest significant inhibition effect. The results also indicated that C. olitorius was more sensitive to the extracts than S. viridis. On the other hand, the inhibition effect of the extracts on the growth of both weeds was accompanied by increased bean growth and yield/plant. The analysis of both leaf and root extracts of C. album revealed that the total content of polyphenols and flavonoids in the leaf extract was more than triple that of the root extract. The results suggested that the fresh leaf extract of C. album may be a possible tool for the development of weed control using natural herbicides.

Opis:
A composite of polystyrene (PS)/ferroelectric barium stannate titanate (BST) with different BST concentration was prepared. The dielectric properties were measured using HP low impedance frequency analyzer. It is found that samples behaved as an RC network. Composites become more capacitive than resistive with increasing frequency while resistance decreases with increasing BST ceramic concentration. Temperature effects were monitored throughout the annealing process. It is found that the capacity and the ac conductivity increased after annealing while the bulk resistance decreased. Our results suggest that, the obtained material is expected to be a promising candidate for electronic ceramics. The study provides a better understanding of the relationship among these parameters.

This paper proposes an advanced Internet of Things (IoT) system for measuring, monitoring, and recording some power quality (PQ) parameters. The proposed systemis designed and developed for both hardware and software. For the hardware unit, three PZEM-004T modules with non-invasive current transformer (CT) sensors are used tomeasure the PQ parameters and an Arduino WeMos D1 R1 ESP8266 microcontroller isused to receive data from the sensors and send this data to the server via the internet. For the software unit, an algorithm using Matlab software is developed to send measurement datato the ThingSpeak cloud. The proposed system can monitor and analyse the PQ parameters including frequency, root mean square (RMS) voltage, RMS current, active power, and the power factor of a low-voltage load in real-time. These PQ parameters can be stored on theThingSpeak cloud during the monitoring period; hence the standard deviation in statistics of the voltage and frequency is applied to analyse and evaluate PQ at the monitoring point.The experimental tests are carried out on low-voltage networks 380/220 V. The obtained results show that the proposed system can be usefully applied for monitoring and analysing chosen PQ parameters in micro-grid solutions.

3,3’-Diamino-4,4’-azoxyfurazan (DAAF) is the principal component of an insensitive booster explosive; refined DAAF and DAAF surface-coated with Viton A were prepared. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) were employed to characterize the morphology, composition, and thermal decomposition of these samples. The impact sensitivity and theoretical detonation velocity of DAAF-based composites were also measured and analyzed. The results showed that DAAF surface-coated with Viton A was successfully obtained, and the impact sensitivity of DAAF/Viton A composites was much lower than that of crude DAAF. In addition, DAAF/Viton A composites exhibited better thermal stability compared to crude DAAF and refined DAAF. The theoretical detonation velocity of DAAF/Viton A composites and TATB/Viton A composites are roughly the same. Therefore, there is still great potential for DAAF to be used as the main explosive component of a booster explosive.

On the basis of induction heating, radiation heating and liquid nitrogen refrigeration, high-temperature, medium-temperature, normal-temperature and low-temperature heating/refrigeration furnaces were designed, respectively. An apparatus with a wide temperature range and high accuracy applied to test oxidation resistance of materials has been developed based on the thermogravimetric method and the heat transfer principle. The apparatus consists of four heating/cooling systems, a specimen fixture positioning unit, a laser positioning unit, vertical and horizontal moving guide rails, and a high-precision weighing balance. The apparatus, based on the thermogravimetric method, is able to test oxidation resistance of materials. In the test, the temperature range was -180~3000°C (the highest temperature is determined by material properties). The temperature control accuracy was ±5°C. The accuracy of on-line weighing was ±0.1 mg. The measurement uncertainty was 0.2 mg. Compared with other relevant devices, this apparatus has its own advantages: simple operation, wide heating/cooling temperature range, sufficient specimen heating, high sensitivity and precision, and short heating/cooling time. The experimental results show that the developed apparatus presented in this study not only can be used for isothermal thermogravimetric tests, but also for thermal cycling tests and multi-step oxidation tests. With the effective integration of multiple heating apparatus and refrigeration apparatus, the apparatus breaks through the limitations of the heating/cooling temperature range of the existing devices, accomplishes the high-precision oxidation resistance test of materials in a wide temperature range, and will play a great role in improving the research of materials.

And makes a detailed research for the serial and parallel mechanical system model and gets their reliability function respectively. Finally, the application research is carried out for serial mechanical system reliability model to prove its validity by example. Using Copula theory to make mechanical system reliability modeling and its expectation, studying the distribution of the random variables (marginal distribution) of the mechanical product’ life and associated structure of variables separately, can reduce the difficulty of multivariate probabilistic modeling and analysis to make the modeling and analysis process more clearly.

In order to study the effect of air radial decoupling charge on blasting excavation effect of slope, the effect of radial decoupling coefficient on explosive stress field in rock mass is analyzed theoretically. ANSYS/LS-DYNA software is used to establish a numerical model for stress monitoring of monitoring points. At the same time, the concrete model is poured, the explosion stress field around the blast hole is measured by means of the high-speed multi-channel dynamic stress testing system, and the monitoring results of the two methods are compared with the theoretical analysis results. The results show that with the increase of the radial decoupling coefficient of blasting, the peak value of explosive stress at the same side point decreases obviously, and with the increase of the distance, the stress attenuation becomes slower. Applying the test results to the blasting of slope, it is found that the blasting effect is the best when the aperture decoupling coefficient is 2.75 and the hole spacing is 1.0 m, and the larger the hole spacing is, the less obvious the blasting crack is, which has certain guiding significance for improving the blasting effect.

Accurate prediction of blasting vibration should be achieved in mine blasting production practice. It is also a critical problem in the field of blasting vibration control technology research. In this research paper, on the basis of the previous research results and taking account into the reflection principle of elastic wave at the free interface, the authours proposes the blasting seismic wave propagation model. In addition, the blasting positive elevation effect are theoretically explained in detail, and the vibration velocity prediction formula of the positive elevation effect is derived. Finally, the positive elevation effect mechanism and the step (positive) formula are calibrated based on the on-site monitoring data of blasting vibration of Qipanjing Jinou coal mine. In beirf, a theoretical basis is laid by this paper for similar blasting projects.

Background. It is estimated that approximately 1% of people worldwide suffer from epilepsy. Currently available antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) are able to control epileptic seizures in about 70% of cases. In the remaining patients (30%), the application of two or three AEDs in combination is necessary for effective seizure management. The goal of this work was to characterize the interaction of three AEDs: lacosamide (LCM), carbamazepine (CBZ) and valproate (VPA) at the fixed-ratio of 1:1:1 in the mouse tonic-clonic seizure model. Material and methods. Male albino Swiss mice, after receiving a combination of LCM, CBZ and VPA, were challenged with electric current to evoke tonic hind limb extension (seizure activity). Protection of the mice from tonic-clonic seizures was assessed by isobolographic analysis to determine the type of interaction occurring between these drugs. Results. Type I isobolographic analysis revealed that the combination of LCM, CBZ and VPA produced infra-additive (antagonistic) interaction in the mouse tonic-clonic seizure model. Conclusions. Since the three-drug mixture of LCM, CBZ a nd VPA exerted an antagonistic interaction in the tonic-clonic seizure test in mice, we would caution physicians against treating epilepsy patients with this unfavorable combination.
Wprowadzenie. Szacuje się, że około 1% osób na całym świecie cierpi na padaczkę. Obecnie dostępne leki przeciwpadaczkowe pozwalają na opanowanie napadów padaczkowych w około 70% przypadków. U pozostałych pacjentów z padaczką (30%) konieczne jest zastosowanie dwóch lub trzech leków przeciwpadaczkowych w kombinacji. Celem pracy było scharakteryzowanie interakcji między trzema lekami przeciwpadaczkowymi: lakozamidem (LCM), karbamazepiną (CBZ) i walproinianem (VPA) w stałym stosunku dawek 1:1:1 w modelu drgawek toniczno-klonicznych u myszy. Materiał i metody. Samce myszy albino Swiss, po otrzymaniu kombinacji LCM, CBZ i VPA, poddano działaniu prądu elektrycznego, aby wywołać toniczny wyprost kończyn tylnych (aktywność drgawkową). Ochronę myszy przed napadami toniczno-klonicznymi oszacowano za pomocą analizy izobolograficznej, aby określić typ interakcji zachodzącej między tymi lekami. Wyniki. Analiza izobolograficzna typu I ujawniła, że kombinacja LCM, CBZ i VPA powodowała oddziaływanie infra-addytywne (antagonistyczne) w modelu drgawek toniczno-klonicznych u myszy. Wnioski. Ponieważ trójlekowa mieszanina LCM, CBZ i VPA wywierała antagonistyczną interakcję w teście napadów toniczno-klonicznych u myszy, specjalne ostrzeżenie jest konieczne dla lekarzy, aby nie leczyć pacjentów z padaczką tą niekorzystną kombinacją.

Opis:
Based on Projection Pursuit Regression Theory (PPRT), a projection pursuit regression model has been established for forecasting the peak value of blasting vibration velocity. The model is then used to predict the peak value of blasting vibration velocity in a tunnel excavation blasting in Beijing. In order to train and test the model, 15 sets of measured samples from the tunnel project are used as the input data. It is found that predicting results by projection pursuit regression model on the basis of the input data is much more reasonable than that predicted by the traditional Sodaovsk algorithm and modified Sodaovsk formula. The results show that the average predicting error of the projection pursuit regression model is 6.36%, which is closer to the measured values. Thus, the projection pursuit prediction model is a practical and reasonable tool for forecasting the peak value of blasting vibration velocity.
