Opis:: Al₁₅Ti₂₀Co₂₀Ni₂₅Fe₂₀ alloy, synthesized in an arc furnace, was characterized by microscopic investigations, X-ray diffraction and electron backscatter diffraction techniques. Theoretical assumptions indicate a dual-phase crystal structure fcc+bcc. It was shown that dendrites and eutectic are bcc phase, and the interdendritic region is fcc phase.

Opis:: The variability of the mean annual air temperature and precipitation totals in three periods: 1848–2010, 1951–2010 and 1981–2010 was investigated in the large Warta River basin, being the area with lowest rainfall in Poland. For the purposes of research, nine meteorological stations with the longest measurement series were selected. Air temperature increase in this river basin was similar than in neighbouring countries. In the last 30 years this trend kept increasing. The precipitation in the whole studied period was slightly increasing in the northern part of the Warta River basin, but decreasing in the southern part. The mean annual precipitation totals in the catchment area did not change visible. In the period 1981–2010, the precipitation totals show a small increase in the winter and spring and a decrease in summer. A negative influence of this climate change was not visible in the Warta River discharge. The main objectives of this study were the collection long-term records of air temperature and precipitation in the Warta River basin, and the statistical analysis of climate variability.
W zlewni rzeki Warty, położonej w rejonie o najniższych w Polsce opadach atmosferycznych, analizowano zmienność średnich rocznych wartości temperatury i sum opadów w latach 1848–2010, 1951–2010 i 1981–2010. W tym celu wykorzystano dane z dziewięciu stacji meteorologicznych dysponujących najdłuższymi seriami pomiarowymi. Głównym celem tych badań było zebranie wieloletnich danych dotyczących temperatury powietrza i sumy opadów atmosferycznych w zlewni Warty i statystyczna analiza ich zmienności. Temperatura powietrza wzrastała w tej zlewni w podobny sposób, jak w sąsiednich krajach. W ostatnich 30 latach zaobserwowano nasilenie się tego trendu. Opady atmosferyczne w całym badanym okresie nieco wzrosły w północnej i zmalały w południowej części zlewni, ale średnia roczna suma opadów w całej zlewni nie zmieniła się istotnie. W latach 1981–2010 roczna suma opadów nieco wzrastała zimą i wiosną oraz malała latem. W średnich rocznych przepływach Warty negatywny wpływ tych zmian nie był widoczny.

Opis:: Nickel based alloys, especially nickel based superalloys have gained the advantage over other alloys in the field of high temperature applications, and thus become irreplaceable at high temperature creep and aggressive corrosion environments, such as jet engines and steam turbines. However, the wear resistance of these alloys is insufficient at high temperatures. This work describes a microstructure of a new cast alloy. The microstructure consists of γ matrix strengthened by γ’ fine precipitates (dendrites) improving the high temperature strength and of Chromium Cr7C3 primary carbides (in interdendritic eutectics) which are designed to improve wear resistance as well as the high temperature strength.
Stopy na osnowie niklu, a w szczególności superstopy na osnowie niklu zyskały przewagę w stosunku do innych stopów metali na polu zastosowań w wysokiej temperaturze. Są niezastąpione w warunkach pełzania wysokotemperaturowego, a także agresywnym środowisku korozyjnym silników odrzutowych czy tez turbin parowych. Jednakże odporność na ścieranie tych stopów jest niewystarczalna do zastosowania tych materiałów w wysokiej temperaturze i warunkach ścierania. W niniejszej pracy opisano mikrostrukturę nowego stopu. Składa się ona z osnowy γ umocnionej fazą γ’ (dendryty) - zwiększającą wytrzymałość wysokotemperaturową, a także z pierwotnych węglików chromu Cr7C3 (w eutektykach międzydentrytycznych) - mających na celu zwiększyć zarówno odporność na ścieranie jak i wytrzymałość wysokotemperaturową.

Opis:: In the paper selected methods of measuring the thermal resistance of an IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) are presented and the accuracy of these methods is analysed. The analysis of the measurement error is performed and operating conditions of the considered device, at which each measurement method assures the least measuring error, are pointed out. Theoretical considerations are illustrated with some results of measurements and calculations.

Opis:: The paper refers to the investigation results concerning thermal and optical properties of power LEDs. The measuring-set to measure thermal and optical parameters of the considered semiconductor devices is described and some results of measurements of transient thermal impedance and illuminance emitted by power LEDs operating at different cooling conditions are presented. Investigations were performed both for LEDs operating solely and sets of such diodes situated on the common heat-sink.

Opis:: W pracy przeanalizowano zasadność stosowania nieliniowego modelu termicznego tranzystora MOS mocy przy analizach charakterystyk przetwornicy boost. Przedstawiono postać rozważanego modelu termicznego oraz wyniki elektrotermicznej analizy stanów przejściowych badanego układu, uzyskane przy uwzględnieniu nieliniowości modelu termicznego oraz przy pominięciu tej nieliniowości. Badania przeprowadzono dla przetwornic zawierających dwa różne zestawy półprzewodnikowych elementów kluczujących.
In the paper the necessity of using the non-linear thermal model of the power MOS transistor at computer analyses of the boost converter is considered. The form of considered thermal model are presented and results of the electrothermal transient analysis of considered converter, obtained at the nonlinearity of the thermal model taking into account and at the omission of this nonlinearity are shown. Investigations were performed for converters containing two different sets of switching semiconductor devices.

Opis:: The paper refers to modelling characteristics of IGBT in SPICE software with self-heating taken into account. The form of the electrothermal model of the considered transistor and equations describing this model are proposed. The correctness of the proposed model is veriﬁed experimentally during the operation of the examined transistor at different cooling conditions. Particular attention is paid to the non-typical course of characteristics of the considered device at weak excitation. The shape of the obtained characteristics is discussed and the inﬂuence of the sub-threshold effect in the input MOS structure on these characteristics is analysed.

Opis:: Choking-coils are a requisite components of the switching converters of the electrical energy. As it is known from literature, the temperature influences in the essential manner to the characteristics and exploitive parameters of components and electronic equipment, as well as it determines the lifetime of elements and electronic equipment. Temperature of the choking-coil increases together with the ambitne temperature and with an increase of power losses dissipated in this element. In order to calculate the temperature of the choking-coil at the well-known course of the power dissipated in this element, the transie nt thermal impedance of the choking-coil is indispensable. In the paper, the electrical method of the measurement of the transient thermal impedance of the choking-coil is proposed. In this method the resistance of the winding of the choking-coils is used as an thermally sensitive parameter. The idea of the measurement metod and the construction of the measuring set were described. Additionally, the influence of the power dissipated in winding of the choking-coil on the temperature distribution in the core and in the winding in the steady state was analyzed. Theoretical considerations were illustrated with the results of measurements of selected constructions of choking-coils. Basing on the obtained measurements results the suggestions for the designers of electronic circuits connected with the cooling of choking-coils are formulated.
Dławiki są niezbędnym komponentem układów impulsowego przetwarzania energii elektrycznej. Jak wynika z literatury, temperatura w istotny sposób wpływa na charakterystyki i parametry eksploatacyjne elementów i urządzeń elektronicznych oraz na czas ich pracy do uszkodzenia. Temperatura dławika rośnie wraz z temperaturą otoczenia oraz z mocą strat tego elementu. W celu wyznaczenia temperatury dławika przy znanym przebiegu mocy wydzielanej w tym elemencie niezbędna jest informacja o przebiegu jego przejściowej impedancji termicznej. W pracy zaproponowano elektryczną metodę pomiaru przejściowej impedancji termicznej dławika przy wykorzystaniu rezystancji uzwojenia w charakterze parametru termoczułego oraz pirometryczną metodę pomiaru wzajemnej przejściowej impedancji termicznej między uzwojeniem a rdzeniem. Opisano koncepcję pomiaru i konstrukcję układu pomiarowego realizującego opracowaną metodę. Przeanalizowano również wpływ mocy traconej w uzwojeniu dławika na rozkład temperatury w rdzeniu i w uzwojeniu w stanie termicznie ustalonym. Rozważania teoretyczne zilustrowano wynikami pomiarów wybranych konstrukcji dławików. W oparciu o uzyskane wyniki pomiarów sformułowano zalecenia dla konstruktorów układów elektronicznych dotyczące chłodzenia dławików.

Opis:: Image categorization is one of the fundamental tasks in computer vision, it has wide application in methods of artificial intelligence, robotic vision and many others. There are a lot of difficulties in computer vision to overcome, one of them appears during image recognition and classification. The difficulty arises from an image variance, which may be caused by scaling, rotation, changes in a perspective, illumination levels, or partial occlusions. Due to these reasons, the main task is to represent represent images in such way that would allow recognizing them even if they have been modified. Bag of Visual Words (BoVW) approach, which allows for describing local characteristic features of images, has recently gained much attention in the computer vision community. In this article we have presented the results of image classification with the use of BoVW and k - Nearest Neighbor classifier with different kinds of metrics and similarity measures. Additionally, the results of k - NN classification are compared with the ones obtained from a Support Vector Machine classifier.
