    Parents have asignificant impact on childreris decision about choice of their path of life. For years, forming of the level of parents and their children's educational and occupational aspirations was affected by living conditions of families from rural areas, difficult financial situation and worse education conditions of village schools. The aim of the research was presenting the mechanism of forming the educational and occupational aspirations of secondary school (Polish: gimnazjum) pupils in the country and in town and defining the relations between background conditions (including family background) and the level of pupils' educational and occupational aspirations. Particularly, the answer the ąuestion was tried to find - what are conditions of pupils of village secondary schools' life's aspirations (educational and occupational)? Presented results of the research are only the fragment of wider survey of conditions of young people's aspirations. Among numerous conditions, which have been analysed, the factors of family background appeared, such as: number of family members, families' financial and materiał conditions, parents' education, parents' aspirations to their children's education and family traditions connecting with working in particular profession.

    The parents’ presence in the upbringing of a child plays a significant role in forming the child’s personality and preparing it to play sexual and social roles connected with sex. Physical and psychological presence influences living aspirations of adolescent children, including their family and social aspirations. A study of secondary school graduates shows that young people coming from complete families more often appreciate such values as love and family, more often want to have a family and plan starting one in the nearest future, and want to have children. Young people coming from complete families more rarely exclude their future involvement in activities of the Church or social organizations. Those who have a good psychological contact with their parents often appreciate the value of family and love, moreover, they appreciate the authority of parents and value other authorities; they want to have a family and plan starting one in the nearest future. The desire to have children, three or more of them, as well as the desire to help others and to get involved in the Church’s activities more frequently occur along with the experience of psychological presence of the parents.

    W artykule podjęto rozważania na temat aspiracji zawodowych młodych, potencjalnych pracowników. Celem artykułu jest określenie aspiracji zawodowe młodych osób dopiero wkraczających na rynek pracy. W artykule scharakteryzowano również sytuację na polskim rynku pracy w latach 2010-2015. Przedstawiono informacje na temat polityki państwa w zakresie rynku pracy. W pracy wykorzystano literaturę przedmiotu, akty prawne (Ustawa o promocji zatrudnienia i instytucjach rynku pracy), informacje o działaniach Ministerstwa Rodziny, Pracy i Polityki Społecznej, a także zaprezentowano wyniki badań GUS i CBOS oraz wyniki badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych w 2016 r. wśród 188 studentów Wydziału Nauk Ekonomicznych i Zarządzania Uniwersytetu Szczecińskiego.
    The article discusses career aspirations of potential young workers. It is aimed at answering the following question: what are the career aspirations of young people who are just about to enter the labour market? Furthermore, the article illustrates the situation on the Polish labour market in the years 2010-2015 and presents information concerning labour market policy pursued on a state level. For the sake of the analysis, the author refers to Act on the promotion of employment and labour market institutions, information concerning actions taken by Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy, the results of surveys conducted by Central Statistical Office of Poland (GUS) and Public Opinion Research Centre (CBOS), as well as the results of questionnaire survey carried out in 2016 among 188 students of the Faculty of Economics and Management at the University of Szczecin.

    The article is devoted to young people’s professional aspirations and, at the same time, it presents the results of the conducted research. The publication relates to both aspirations and the values which have direct influence on everyone’s personal development including especially contemporary young people. In theoretical considerations, the authors referred to the presentation of the psychological, sociological and pedagogical views which are closely connected with shaping socially accepted and anticipated aspirations and standards. The second part of the publication presents the results of the research carried out on a group of 136 junior high students. The article also comprises interesting generalizations and conclusions based on the research.
    Artykuł jest poświęcony aspiracjom zawodowym młodzieży, z jednoczesnym uwzględnieniem przeprowadzonych badań. Odniesiono się w nim zarówno do aspiracji, jak i wartości, które mają bezpośredni wpływ na rozwój życiowy każdego człowieka, w tym zwłaszcza współczesnej młodzieży. W rozważaniach teoretycznych odwołano się do prezentacji stanowisk psychologicznych, socjologicznych i pedagogicznych, ściśle związanych z kształtowaniem aspiracji oraz norm i wartości społecznie akceptowanych i oczekiwanych. W drugiej części zaprezentowano wyniki z badań przeprowadzonych wśród 136-osobowej grupy młodzieży gimnazjalnej. W opracowaniu zawarto również interesujące uogólnienia i wnioski z badań.

    The author of the article notices that educational aspirations of parents are closely related to the expectations for their children. The attractiveness of higher education has increased in recent years. Educational level is of less importance here. Education of children has become a passport to a better life. Another crucial motif is the desire of parents for their children to have an interesting and well paid job in the future. Educating children also inspires many parents to raise their own education. Poles pay particular attention to the education of their offspring. This means an increase in educational aspirations of Poles over the past several years. Therefore, continuous and further examination of motivators which could serve an inspirational purpose for family members is important.

    Aspiration and educational plans constitute one of the most essential components of the process of planning the future. The school, on account of its individual and social meaning, can and should be place and time of the knowledge acquisition, the ability and competence, but of also creating educational situations supporting waking for aspiration and building the courage in conceiving educational plans. Enabling every pupil not only to get the formally authenticated education is an educational success in the emancipation dimension (and hence of getting the pass to higher levels of the education), but also of purchasing and developing convincing about the need the constant work on oneself, abilities needed for overcoming internal restrictions and outside, brave defining and creating oneself and of one’s surroundings. They are these are also tasks which result from basic functions according to Zbigniew Kwieciński’s the school is fulfilling which in the society: reconstruction, adaptive and emancipation. There was analysis of aspiration and educational plans of pupils of secondary schools in order to write the present text (of secondary schools and technicians) in the context of the emancipation dimension of the success of the school. Theoretical and empirical analysis lets for expressing the following conclusions: 1. The majority of the examined young stock is declaring the intention of taking the further learning on completion of secondary school, however in this group deciding more is of disciples of secondary schools than technicians. 2. Young people, standing on the threshold of the maturity and the independent living are dominated so to speak with feeling the objectivity, not whereas subjectivities, of what a tendency dominating among them of seeking of sources the practical success in extrinsic factors is resulting, not whereas in the own knowledge, competence or abilities. 3. They are demonstrating rather a tendency of the full conversion to found reality, than protesting her in any scope and extending beyond dominating outlines of conventional interpretation of reality. In the process it is hard to talk about the success of schools provided with the examination in the emancipation dimension.

    For small, low-to-middle-income countries such as North Macedonia, the prospect of young, educated people leaving their place of residence (i.e. emigrating) can have significant negative societal-level effects. Understanding the complexity of the brain-drain phenomenon and its antecedents is critical to developing multi-level (i.e. global, societal and individual) strategic solutions. A qualitative analysis of several focus-group interviews was used to understand young, educated residents’ reasons either for emigrating or for remaining in North Macedonia. Two overarching themes served to organise the participant-identified drivers for emigration and those opposed to it. Three sub-themes emerged describing the factors for emigration: 1) a lack of professional opportunities, 2) institutional systems, and 3) cultural tightness. Likewise, three sub-themes emerged describing the factors for staying: 1) community, 2) culture and 3) social responsibility. Insights serve to contextualise some of the experiences of young, educated people in small, low-to-middle-income, countries which impact on their emigration decisions.

    The change of career aspirations among students who have just started secondary education is a determinant of changes in the network of secondary schools. That is mostly apparent when we analyse the intake of students during the successive school years. While basic vocational schools are less and less common in school complexes, technical schools gain more popularity among the young. Many questions that arise with respect to the future of the Polish labour market reflect the most important concern: will the market provide any qualified craftsmen? The author of the article tries to find out what the cause of the situation might be - whether educational background in a primary school and "gimnazjum" (lower secondary school) is so high, or whether the level of education in a "technikum" (technical secondary school) had been adjusted (lowered) to students' expectations. The objective of this paper is to highlight this trend and look for the reasons of the phenomenon.
