Opis:
The paper presents a study on concept of ultra-light vehicle created by innovatory technology with laminate panels what provided low weight of self-supporting body and in consequences low vehicle weight. The usage of panels with aluminum honeycomb core and glass fiber based skins allows creating large flat surfaces for interior and vehicle body without any additional treatment. Glued panels with aluminium core make closed, rigid structure of self-supporting body with relatively low weight. Independent suspension system which components are made of carbon fiber also guarantees low weight. Vehicle is powered by two electric motors BLDC type with power of 2 kW each, and they are placed in rear wheels. Low vehicle weight has important meaning, particularly for electric vehicles and its range. Presented vehicle belongs to L6-e category and does not require any licenses for driving. The vehicle is dedicated for disable people on wheel chairs. The fundamental problem for disable people on wheelchairs is getting inside a vehicle without any help. Proposed solution at the conceptual vehicle allows for getting the wheel chair inside the vehicle by the use of lower part of the rear door and the wheel chair play a role of the vehicle seat. Such solution also makes that the level of physical disability has no influence on auxiliary devices used for vehicle driving.

Opis:
Transport pertains to all functional areas of the State’s activities on every administrative level. Road transport is a very important branch of global economy and constitutes a part of the logistics network. It pertains to the transportation of cargo, items, and people. Cooperation between the branches of civilian transportation and military logistics must be the focus of continuous improvement efforts. Enhancements in this respect can serve to avoid possible failures and disruptions. The quality and availability of infrastructure plays a significant role, not only with respect to civilian, but also military assets. The condition of the vehicle is important for the safety of road transport. The provision of transport services in a military unit should mainly rely on military-civilian cooperation and effective communications. The condition of the means of transportation has been indicated as a factor influencing transport safety. Employing new technology and solutions enables constant improvements to the diagnostic system, broadening the knowledge and enhancing the skills of the motor vehicle driver in terms of proficiency in operating and maintaining the vehicle used.

Selected experimental research results of truck tire in steady-state side cornering and transient cornering conditions are presented in this paper. Experimental research results of the tire have been used in simulation research of medium duty truck in nonlinear driving conditions. The paper presents the structure of the vehicle dynamics model and a description of applied tire-road interaction model. Simulation research of the vehicle lateral dynamics has been performed in two variants: without and with the model of tire relaxation. During research, the tire relaxation length has been also changed. The steering wheel angle changes were forced as continuous sinusoidal excitation signal with a constant amplitude and with continuously increasing frequency. There have been analysed basic physical quantities characterizing the vehicle lateral dynamics connected with the vehicle active safety, especially including body yaw velocity and lateral acceleration in the centre of the truck body mass. An analysis of research results have been performed in the time and frequency domain. Time courses of analysed physical quantities and their frequency spectrum, obtained for tire-road interaction model without and with the tire relaxation (with different values of relaxation length) have been compared. Based on the simulation research results there have been considered the influence of tire relaxation on the vehicle performance. There have been shown that the tire relaxation can significantly change courses of observed physical quantities connected with vehicle lateral dynamics connected with vehicle driving safety.

Some results of research devoted to the modeling of a AUV-Stealth vehicle performance towards limiting its hydro-acoustic field are presented in the paper. At the beginning the AUV-Stealth autonomous underwater vehicle concept is described. Then the method of research is introduced. Next the key design drivers of the AUV-Stealth vehicle are presented. Between them are the AUV-Stealth hull form, arrangement of internal spaces, materials, hull covers, energy supply and propulsion system, etc. Some results of the hydrodynamic and stealth characteristics of the AUV-Stealth vehicle are briefly described. It is presented in the paper that the hull form, construction materials including the covers may affect the AUV-Stealth vehicle boundary layer and wake. This may create some problems of identification of the AUV-Stealth vehicle using a sonar or hydrophone. The final conclusions are presented.

Article represent modern bridge on vehicle chassis MS-20 Daglezja - bridge span transported on special mobile transportation vehicle, where chassis, despite transportation, has opportunity to lay as well as to remove the span from site obstacle in very short time. Bridge allows rapid overcoming natural and artifical site obstacles of width up to 20m for Polish army and NATO vehicles, subject to impose a load less than 70MLC for trach laying vehicle, and HOMLC for wheeled vehicles. Vehicle has a lot of characteristic features. The MS20 vehicle bridge of cryptonym "Daglezja" with easiness can run in heavy terrain thanks to practical application of 12x12 wheel drive. Important is that vehicle can go public ways without of pilotage, mainly thanks to possibility to change span width for transport, and to fact that overall dimensions are not exceeding traffic regulations. In consequence of above MS-20 Daglezja is allowed to ride on public ways, creating possibility to fast reaction if need be. Bridge can be used in many situations, not only in combat, but for example in situation of cataclysm and sudden necessity to deliver food and clothes, or other goods for separated from world population.

OBJECTIVES: Development of movement model of fighting tracked vehicle to study oscillatory processes that cause a dynamic load on the driver’s workplace and imitate real conditions of fighting tracked vehicle’s movement to develop technical requirements for dynamic simulators with the achievement of high degree of their compliance with the real vehicle. Research hypothesis. Use of the improved mobility platform of dynamic simulators, realizing the conditions as close as possible to conditions of driving a real fighting tracked vehicle. METHODS: The presented views are the result of empirical research based on the general scheme of forces acting on a fighting tracked vehicle and allow to theoretically estimate the dynamic load of mechanic-driver's workplace. RESULTS: In the study, the author developed an improved model of the movement of a fighting tracked vehicle, which describes the spatial movement of its body in motion on the support surface of a complex profile and allows to estimate theoretically the dynamic workload of the driver’s workplace, which provides a basic design of a dynamic platform in six degrees of freedom and will provide to develop the requirements for the modernization of dynamic simulators. CONCLUSIONS: When performing combat tasks mechanic-driver of FTV is exposed to the effects of spatial movements of different nature. The mechanic-driver during the movement of FTV feels a wide range of influences that are caused by the interaction of the tracked running gear (TRG) with the bearing surface and change the direction of movement of FTV.

One of the most important and commonly used means of transport in the armed forces of various countries is wheeled armoured personnel carriers. After proper preparation, beside transport tasks, they can carry out special tasks, as part of regular and irregular activities within purpose of supporting actions of troops. This paper presents preliminary results of numerical research of wheeled armoured personnel carrier with 8x8-drive system. The effect of impact of large calibre cannon (120 mm) with reduced recoil force on transporter behaviour was investigated. The research object model consists of shell, solid and discrete elements. The research was carried out in the LS-DYNA software. Considered variant applies to sideways firing (to the left of the vehicle) for cannon elevation angle 16 deg. Numerical model of standing still on the flat ground wheeled armoured personnel carrier was preloaded with the gravitational force. The results of post-firing vehicle behaviour including angular displacement of the hull, dynamic deflections of the suspensions and impact on the stability of the wheeled vehicle were evaluated.

Investigation scheme of the unmanned vehicle is shown in the paper. It is the unmanned vehicle planned to use in military application. Using the unmanned vehicles on modern war field is increasingly popular. The unmanned vehicle is powered with a hybrid propulsion system. The main source of energy is diesel engine and electric generator. It supplies the battery and six propulsion electric motors. In the propulsion system is a lot of components: controllers and electric devices. Is important to know how it works in load condition. Investigation stand was constructed to break all drive wheels. There will be done measuring of electric parameters of the hybrid propulsion system. Temperature of the battery and electric motors, fuel consumption of internal combustion engine needed to appreciate of load and energy balance will be measured as well. Investigation equipment which will be used during investigation is also performed in the paper.

W artykule przedstawiono studium wpływu zmienności obciążenia eksploatacyjnego pojazdów na rzeczywistą wartość bezwymiarowego współczynnika tłumienia zawieszenia oraz jego wpływ na zmiany charakterystyki zachowania się pojazdu w zakresie komfortu, jak i bezpieczeństwa w zakresie potencjału siły przyczepności. Pokazano wyniki analizy obliczeniowej dla zawieszenia o stałym współczynniku sztywności (zawieszenie o metalowych elementach sprężystych) oraz o stałej częstości drgań własnych (zawieszenie pneumatyczne o regulowanej wysokości). Analizę przeprowadzono dla samochodu osobowego oraz ciężarowego. Na podstawie uzyskanych wniosków zaproponowano koncepcję strategii adaptacyjnej regulacji tłumienia w zawieszeniu w zależności od aktualnego obciążenia pojazdu. Przedstawiono także wnioski co do zakresu zmienności charakterystyk tłumienia wynikających z potrzeb tej strategii regulacji tłumienia.
This paper presents the study of influence of vehicle load variations on actual value of damping ratio and its influence on changes in transmissibility's functions in area of comfort and safety. Transmissibility functions are presented for suspension with constant value of suspension stiffness coefficient and damping coefficient and also for suspension with constant value of bounce natural frequency and constant damping coefficient. Analysis was made for passenger and commercial vehicles. On the basis of this analysis some idea of control algorithm concerning in vehicle load is presented and the limits of necessary damping ratio levels.

Elektroniczne układy sterowania stosowane w napędach elektrycznych zamieniają polecenia kierowcy: kierunek jazdy, przyspieszenie, położenie dźwigni hamowania, na odpowiednie sygnały wejściowe półprzewodnikowego sterownika mocy. Jednocześnie kontrolowane są przy tym parametry dopuszczalne takie jak maksymalna wartość natężenia prądu, napięcia oraz prędkości obrotowej silnika. W artykule przeprowadzono analizę impulsowego sterowania w układach napędowych pojazdów elektrycznych. Scharakteryzowano zakresy pracy silnikowej i generatorowej dla napędu z obcowzbudną maszyną prądu stałego.
The control electronics in electric drives converts the commands of the driver: direction, accelerator, brake pedal position, into the corresponding control commands input to the power semiconductors, while at the same time observing specified limits: current, voltage, motor speed. The paper presents the analysis of control electronics in electric vehicle drives. The motor and generator operation in DC drives are described.
