    Opis:
    The study presents the results of research based on the review and identification of significant talent management methods used in different types of organizations. The study interprets the results of research conducted in 2016 on the set of 301 various companies operating in the Czech Republic. The authors of the study assume that the efficiency of the whole talent management should be based on the efficiency of its well-chosen methods. The research showed that there is a different understanding and application of talent management methods by organization management according to the size and legal form of the organization (company).

    Opis:
    Background: In the Polish healthcare system, there is a high demand for highly qualified medical staff who can be considered talents. Therefore, the use of appropriate talent management practices by managers of healthcare entities is becoming increasingly important. Purpose: This study examines the respondents' perception of the current use of selected talent management practices in healthcare entities in Poland. It was also important to investigate the relationship between talent management practices and employee retention and check whether the assessments of individual talent management practices differ depending on the type of healthcare entity and the education of managers. Because the spectrum of talent management processes is wide, in this article, we pay attention to talent acquisition and identification, competence development and employee appraisal. Design/methodology/approach: A questionnaire for managers of Polish healthcare entities was used to collect the data. 120 respondents took part in the research. A five-point Likert scale was adopted to assess individual talent management practices. In order to examine the properties of the measurement scale and the items that make it up, a reliability analysis was performed. Data were then analyzed using descriptive statistics, Spearman's rho correlation analysis, Kruskal-Wallis, and Mann-Whitney U tests. Findings: The study showed that the talent management level in Poland's public healthcare entities is not sufficiently advanced. The study's results also revealed the positive impact of talent management practices on employee retention. The analysis shows that the type of medical entity differentiates the level of development of employees' professional competencies and evaluation. No differences in talent management level were observed depending on the managers' education. Originality/value: In practice, this study highlights problematic areas of talent management practices in healthcare entities. The study contributes to the new knowledge on the perception of managers of healthcare entities regarding the use of talent management practices in the Polish health sector.

    Opis:
    1. Thesis. It is difficult to discover the pupil’s mathematical skills. It is even more difficult to foster his/her mathematical talent. The teacher needs knowledge, experience and readiness to solve various problems, including pedagogic ones. The Polish educational system has worked out quite efficient mechanisms of pupils’ mathematical skills management. 2. Discussed conceptions. The article describes the structure and features of pupils’ mathematical skills and the methods of their identification. The significant role of maths teacher in the development of mathematical skills is also indicated. One describes the standards of education of mathematically gifted pupils proposed by Jerzy Janowicz. In conclusion the variety of school and out-of-school forms of educational activities, also with reference to specific non-governmental organizations, is shown. 3. Results and conclusions.In Poland many positive activities for the benefit of discovering and development of mathematically gifted pupils are undertaken. A significant role is played by schools as well as by non-governmental organizations that operate in the area of mathematical education. However, research is still needed to be carried out and the results of the already existing research should be publicized among the teachers. 4. The originality/cognitive value of the attitude. The author made a review of the most significant issues connected with discovering and development of mathematically gifted pupils. He enumerated specific Polish non-governmental organizations and indicated their actions that give rational educational results. He discussed pedagogic issues connected with the work of a maths teacher in the area of mathematical skills.
    Teza. Trudno jest odkryć zdolności matematyczne ucznia. Jeszcze trudniejsze jest pielęgnowanie jego talentu matematycznego. Potrzebna jest wiedza, doświadczenie i gotowość do rozwiązywania przez nauczyciela matematyki różnorodnych problemów, w tym wychowawczych. Polski system edukacyjny wypracował dość skuteczne mechanizmy zarządzania uzdolnieniami matematycznymi uczniów. Omówione koncepcje. W artykule została opisana struktura i właściwości zdolności matematycznych uczniów oraz sposoby ich identyfikacji. Wskazano również na istotną rolę nauczyciela matematyki w rozwijaniu uzdolnień matematycznych. Opisano standardy kształcenia uczniów uzdolnionych matematycznie zaproponowaną przez Jerzego Janowicza. Na zakończenie pokazano różnorodność szkolnych i pozaszkolnych form działalności edukacyjnej, również w odniesieniu do konkretnych organizacji pozarządowych. Wyniki i wnioski. W Polsce jest podejmowanych wiele pozytywnych działań na rzecz odkrywania i rozwijania uczniów uzdolnionych matematycznie. Ważną rolę odgrywają szkoły jak również organizacje pozarządowe działające w obszarze edukacji matematycznej. Nadal jednak jest potrzeba prowadzenia badań oraz upowszechnianie wśród nauczycieli wyników badań już przeprowadzonych. Oryginalność/wartość poznawcza podejścia. Autor dokonał przeglądu najważniejszych kwestii związanych z odkrywaniem i rozwijaniem uczniów uzdolnionych matematycznie. Wymienił konkretne polskie organizacje pozarządowe i wskazał na ich działania przynoszące wymierne rezultaty edukacyjne. Poruszył kwestie wychowawcze związane z pracą nauczycieli matematyki w obszarze zdolności matematycznych.
