Opis:
This article presents the results obtained by translating UNILEX Universitätswörterbuch für in- und ausländische Studierende by Prof. Burkhard Schaeder und Aleka Rapti from German into Polish by the Student Translator Association at the Institute of Applied Linguistics in Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. In the period of growing mobility among polish students who nowadays have great opportunities to study abroad, one of the most significant aspects of the student exchange is the ability to speak foreign languages. There are plenty of dictionaries, glossaries or guides available that can be helpful in helping students to get used to the education system in foreign universities, but they miss out important facts or not up-todate in most cases. Because of this fact the members of the Student Translator Association have come to the conclusion that translating the Unilex from German into Polish could become an advantage for polish students studying in Germany for a certain period of time.

The objective of all universities in the Partnership of a European Group of Aeronautics and Space UniversitieS (PeGASUS) network is to offer highly relevant educational and research programmes and thereby attract the best students and scientists. Coordinated developments, exchange of students and staff and innovation are the basis on which these objectives are achieved. The paper shows how PEGASUS is contributing to the increase in students’ mobility among the partner universities, providing a tool to visualise, illustrate and quantify these flows. The tool provides a mapping of agreements and flows, using data based on a questionnaire sent to all PEGASUS partners. The data is available from the courses offered in the years 2012-2019 and has been prepared for display in the Google Earth application. It is a very flexible tool that allows for multiple searching criteria: per university of origin, per university of destination, per country, per course, etc. The current state of international exchange is shown, emphasising the noticed strengths and weaknesses. Initiatives taken to improve the weaknesses in cooperation are discussed and summed up with final conclusions.

Opis:
Year 1991 brought a new, informal, forum onto political arena, the Visegrad Group, encompassing Poland, Hungary and Czechoslovakia. Activities in this field paved the way to create new original solutions, resulting in International Visegrad Fund created in 2000, the only formal structure of Visegrad. The main aims of International Visegrad Fund are to provide financial support of common cultural, scientific and educational projects, youth exchanges, cross-border projects and tourism promotion. This initiative, but also other programs, undoubtedly remain in the shadow of the next edition of ERASMUS program. However, the development of cooperation and youth exchange within the Visegrad Group within other projects, including Queen Jadwiga Fund, Comenius, Europe for Citizens are also worth mentioning. Therefore, this article will analyze in detail the meaning of youth exchange programs at European level with regard to V4 countries, with particular emphasis on Poland. Moreover, this study will explore the specificity of this collaboration and the possibility of strengthening actions aiming at closer collaboration in the area of culture and education.

Opis:
The article describes the experience of Belarus in the field of international academic mobility. The purpose of the article is to reveal the theoretical and methodological aspects of the internationalization of higher education and academic mobility and describe the current situation on the integration of Belarus into the international context, from a sociological and statistical perspective. In view of the significant number of Belarusian students in Polish and Eastern European universities, the topic is relevant in the context of the study of academic mobility in Eastern Europe. As part of the first task, the theoretical aspects of studying the internationalization of higher education in the country are described – with justification for the development of both the external and internal internationalization, as well as a description of various types of students’ adaptation when studying abroad (academic, linguistic, socio-cultural). As part of the second task, the results of the author’s sociological study are presented, which includes two main components. Firstly, the results of a survey devoted to the study of the views of Belarusian students regarding academic mobility (including cognitive, affective and behavioural aspects) are presented. Secondly, the results of a series of in-depth interviews among participants in the processes of academic mobility aimed at studying the practices of Belarusian students staying abroad for educational purposes are considered. The studies showed the need to increase the awareness of Belarusian students about the possibilities of academic mobility (the vast majority of students have incomplete or fragmented ideas about the possibilities of academic mobility), as well as the problem of the incomplete involvement of the Belarusian higher education system in the international context (the activity of students participating in exchange programs is not counted at Belarusian universities). In accordance with the results, recommendations are given for the further integration of the Belarusian higher education system into the international context.

Opis:
The article considers the issue of virtual international academic mobility as one of the priority areas of international activities of higher education institutions. It is substantiated that the intensive development of information and communication technologies (knowledge mobility) and informatisation of public life led to the spread and use of virtual educational environments and e-learning in higher education, which became the basis for the development of virtual academic mobility of students. The purpose of the study is to study the existing approaches and practices of academic mobility, including virtual, to determine the main benefits and opportunities for disseminating this experience at all levels of higher education in Ukraine. The research methodology consists of general theoretical and empirical research methods. A review of modern scientific literature, periodicals, and scientific and methodological sources on the problem of academic mobility and the digitalisation of higher education is made. Their analysis, structuring, interpretation and construction of logical conclusions are highlighted. The article considers the content of the main scientific approaches to the definition of “academic mobility”. The characteristic of academic mobility in the conditions of digitalisation of higher education is given. Varieties of academic mobility in modern conditions of digitalisation of higher education (physical, virtual, mixed) are considered. The subjects of virtual academic mobility (virtual student, virtual teacher, virtual university, virtual campus) are outlined. The main advantages and disadvantages of such virtual academic mobility of students are identified. The main methodological recommendations of European funds and associations are analysed, based on which the project preparation plan for any virtual mobility type is developed. It is proposed to carry out additional measures that ensure the quantitative growth of academic (virtual) mobility and improve its quality. The necessity of searching for new forms of remote exchanges, analysis of the experience of foreign associations and their adaptation according to the realities of the system of higher education in Ukraine is substantiated: the active involvement of the student’s audience in programmes of virtual cooperation; increasing the necessary competencies of the administrative and teaching staff of higher education institutions, which allow implementing such virtual projects using innovative information technology tools; preparation of the regulatory framework that enshrines the right to implement virtual academic mobility along with the full-time form and recognition of its results by recalculating educational loans.

The aim of the paper is to highlight the attractiveness of business studies programme in International Marketing taught in English to students from the countries of the former USSR. The programme is offered by the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the University of Lodz (FIPS UL) as an innovative educational product addressed to Polish and foreign students. Students from the countries of the former USSR – predominantly from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, or Turkmenistan – very much appreciate the quality of teaching, the opportunity to work in a truly multicultural environment, possibility to take part in ERASMUS mobility schemes, lecturer and student relationships, team-working on marketing projects, and competitive prices of the course. The paper discusses the results of empirical studies carried out by the author using the online in-depth interview method with the students of International Marketing from the countries of the former USSR. Individual approach to students and an open, foreign student-friendly educational model worked out at the Department of International Marketing and Distribution of the FIPS UL are major advantages of the course.
