    Monitoring of damaged historical structures and modern buildings may be carried out by similar methods but not according to the same program. The monitoring of damaged historical buildings should be focused on identifications trends of asymptotic and cyclic properties of displacements and deformations trends. Such programs carried out by the author in the monitoring of some Cracow structures allowed to draw some theoretical and practical conclusions of displacements and deformations values in the whole space structure, impact of temperature effect at the optimization of measurement accuracy and deformation analysis, influence of geotechnical conditions at the stage of identification analysis elevation reference system.

    Opis:
    W pracy przedstawiono charakterystyki potencjalnych struktur możliwych do wykorzystania w celu magazynowania wodoru. Sformułowano kryteria wyboru optymalnej struktury, takie jak: pojemność dostępna dla wodoru, zakres historycznych ciśnień złożowych, ciśnienie szczelinowania, własności transportowe skały, aktywność wody podścielającej, rodzaj płynu złożowego, temperatura złożowa. Stosując te kryteria, wybrano strukturę złoża gazu ziemnego funkcjonującą obecnie jako PMG (podziemny magazyn gazu). Dla znalezienia charakterystyk wybranej struktury jako PMW (podziemnego magazynu wodoru) skonstruowano kompozycyjny model złożowy poprzez konwersję istniejącego modelu typu black oil. W tym celu model złoża uzupełniono o wieloskładnikowy model płynu złożowego opisany równaniem stanu Soave’a–Redlicha–Kwonga oraz o kompozycyjne hydrauliczne modele odwiertów. Kompletny model złoża efektywnie skalibrowano, wykorzystując wieloletnie historyczne dane eksploatacyjne obejmujące wydajności wydobycia ze złoża, zatłaczania i odbioru gazu w ramach PMG oraz ciśnienie zmierzone na spodzie odwiertów eksploatacyjnych. Zweryfikowany model wykorzystano do wielokrotnych symulacji procesu magazynowania wodoru, stosując realistyczne ograniczenia dla zatłaczania i odbioru gazu, tj. czas zatłaczania i odbioru, limity na sumaryczną ilość zatłaczanego wodoru oraz odbieranego gazu, minimalną czystość odbieranego wodoru. Rozpatrzono warianty różniące się szczegółami konwersji PMG na PMW oraz zakładanym maksymalnym stopniem zanieczyszczenia odbieranego wodoru. Podstawowe własności geologiczne wynikały z oryginalnych właściwości struktury i nie podlegały modyfikacjom, natomiast nieznany, ale istotny parametr dyspersji, decydujący o mieszaniu się gazu zatłaczanego z gazem rodzimym, był przedmiotem analizy warianto- wej. Wyniki ilościowe prognoz pracy PMW uzupełniono szczegółową analizą rozkładów nasycenia wodorem na różnych etapach i w różnych cyklach pracy magazynu. W pracy badano wpływ zjawiska dyspersji na wyniki pracy magazynu poprzez implementację zjawiska dyspersji numerycznej, weryfikację poprawności korelacji dyspersji z prędkością migracji oraz identyfikację wielkości dyspersji dla różnych wariantów modelu złoża.
    The paper presents the characteristics of potential structures that can be used for hydrogen storage. The criteria for selecting the optimal structure were formulated. They include estimated sequestration capacity, range of historical reservoir pressures, fracturing pressure, transport properties of the rock, activity of the underlying water, type of reservoir fluid, reservoir temperature. After applying these criteria, a natural gas field structure, currently functioning as a UGS (underground gas storage) facility, was selected. In order to find the characteristics of the selected structure as a UHS (underground hydrogen storage), a compositional reservoir model was constructed. For this purpose, a multicomponent model of the formation fluid described by the Soave–Redlich–Kwong equation of state was built and supplemented with compositional hydraulic models of wells. The complete model of the field was effectively calibrated using historical operational data, including the production rate from the gas field, gas injection and withdrawal under the UGS operation and the pressures measured at the bottom of the production wells. The verified model was used for multiple simulations of the hydrogen storage process using realistic constraints for gas injection and withdrawal, i.e., injection and withdrawal times, limits for the total amount of injected hydrogen and withdrawn gas, maximum acceptable contamination of the withdrawn hydrogen. Consequently, simulation scenarios differed in the details of the UGS – UHS conversion and withdrawn gas composition. The basic geological properties resulted from the original structure properties were not subject to modification, while the unknown but significant dispersion parameter determining the mixing of the injected gas with the original gas was subject to changes. The quantitative results of the UHS operation forecasts were supplemented with a detailed analysis of the distribution of hydrogen saturation at various stages and in different operation cycles of the storage schedule. The study investigated the influence of the dispersion phenomenon on the results of storage operation by implementing the phenomenon of numerical dispersion, verifying the correctness of the correlation between dispersion and migration speed, and identifying the dispersion values for various reservoir models. Basic conclusion was derived from the obtained simulation results.

    Opis:
    The objective of the paper was to determine the size structure of the canes and individuals of Rubus hirtus populations and compare them with regard to the type of soils developed on different geological substrates (granodiorite partially covered by boulders, weathered rocks, river sediments, loams and rock rubble for podzolic soil; limestone and conglomerate interlayers for humus−rich and brown rendzinas and on Carpathian flysh for acid brown soil). The mean Rubus hirtus density on all study sites significantly differed from each other. The highest ramet density (11 individuals/m2 ) was noted on the "Dolina Łopusznej" site, while individuals from the populations on the remaining study sites occurred locally in smaller or larger clusters. The shoots of Rubus hirtus growing on podzolic soils significantly differed from those growing on acid brown soil. Long shoots (over 50 cm) on all sites constituted only a few per cent. The Rubus hirtus populations on the "Szczoty" and "Dolina Łopusznej" sites established over 50 cm high shoots, potentially capable of producing roots with the probability of 0.14. Individuals producing a single the main primocane with the probability of over 0.7 were the most frequent. Less than 10% of the individuals which in the previous year produced at least one main shoot failed to establish new main shoots at all. The number of flowering/ fruiting individuals did not exceed 20% on none of the study sites. The studied populations produced a few new ramets. The results obtained from the research permit suggesting that the underlying bedrock is the primary, while light is the secondary, factor affecting the presence of Rubus hirtus plants. This species colonises areas where the stand canopy is broken even to a slight degree.

    Wstępna interpretacja danych Satelitarnej Interferometrii Radarowej (PSI) wskazała na silną korelację pomiędzy zarejestrowanymi punktami pomiarowymi (PS) o wartościach ujemnych (osiadanie), a przestrzennym rozmieszczeniem struktur geologicznych Górnośląskiego Zagłębia Węglowego. Wstępne wyniki badań wykazały, że osiadanie jest obecne na obszarach struktur synklinalnych, takich jak: basen bytomski, północny skłon niecki głównej oraz małego basenu Zaborska (w pobliżu Zabrza). Wyraźnie widoczne skupienie ujemnych wartości PS jest widoczne wzdłuż zrzuconych skrzydeł uskoków regionalnych: będzińskiego i kłodnickiego. Te uskoki o pochodzeniu waryscyjskim zostały odnowione w trakcie orogenezy alpejskiej (w skrzydłach zrzuconych uskoków znajdują się utwory triasu). Ruchy stwierdzone na powierzchni terenu wzdłuż ich przebiegu mogą świadczyć o neotektonicznym charakterze uskoków. Liniowe anomalie przemieszczeń terenu zarejestrowane wzdłuż kierunków WNW–ESE są z kolei równoległe do granic karbońskich serii produktywnych wyznaczających basen węglowy – górnych warstw karwińskich, warstw ostrawskich i dolnych warstw karwińskich. Wyjaśnienie tych współzależności (genezy i mechanizmu) wymaga dalszych studiów.

    Śledzenie struktur geologicznych i ruchów tektonicznych w osadach neogeńskich podczas badań sejsmicznych przedstawiono na przykładzie obszaru mierzejowego jeziora Kopań i jeziora Wicko. Podczas badań sejsmicznych wykorzystano aparaturę CS-5G-1, stosowano metodę fal odbitych. W czasie badań terenowych zastosowano przedział pomiarowy Z = 100 ms, co powodowało, że fale sejsmiczne penetrowały osady neogenu i jego podłoża do głębokości 80-100 m p.p.t. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań sejsmicznych, które weryfikowano otworami wiertniczymi, można było wydzielić główne struktury geologiczne osadów holoceńskich, plejstoceńskich i ich podłoża. Bardzo dobrze śledzone były na rejestracjach sejsmicznych w obrębie holocenu grunty słabe pod względem geologiczno-inżynierskim i geotechnicznym, jakimi są mułki organiczne oraz torfy. W obrębie plejstocenu wyróżniono szereg poziomów glacjalnych, glacifluwialnych i fluwialnych. Ważnym zagadnieniem w aspekcie geologiczno-inżynierskim jest możliwość śledzenia w utworach neogenu uskoków młodej tektoniki, gdzie bardzo wyraźnie widać przesunięcia warstw geologicznych. Dokładniejsze poznanie budowy geologicznej badanego obszaru oraz wnikliwa analiza litostratygraficzna osadów mogą umożliwić określenie wieku ruchów neotektonicznych, a zwłaszcza wyznaczenie obszarów, gdzie wymienione wyżej procesy zachodzą współcześnie.
    This paper presents results of the tracking of geological structures and tectonic movements in the Neogene deposits by the aid of seismic method in engineering-geological aspect. Author have analysed the area of the Kopań Lake and Wicko Lake spit. Seismic research with use of the apparatus CS-5G-1 (6 channels) as high-resolution seismic investigations were carried out along the designed profiles, which are situated near to the shore of the Baltic Sea. During the seismic investigations, seismic reflective waves were recorded in measuring range Z = 100 ms. The measuring range was useful for the seismic waves, which have penetrated the deeper geological layers even to the top of Pleistocene bedrock. In this case seismic waves reach a value of 80-100 m below the terrain level. Distances between geophones were 10 m, and between profiles 40 m. During the research, there was used constant intensification of seismic impulses amounting from 66-72 dB. Measuring range R = 100 ms causes, that seismic waves reach a frequency of 5 kHz. For the verification of the seismic investigations were executed the geological drillings located on the beach and on the area of the Wicko Lake.

    Opis:
    The article describes the subject of underground hydrogen storage in the context of energy storage using hydrogen as a carrier, and shows its role in the Polish energy policy. The review of the most recent papers was performed to provide the information about hydrogen properties and options for underground hydrogen storage (salt caverns, depleted hydrocarbons fields, deep aquifers) in Poland. Analysis of the literature indicates small practical experiences in the underground hydrogen storage. The behaviour of underground-stored hydrogen is more complex than expected. Previous results indicate that this option may in future become the preferred solution for storing excess electricity related to the irregular supply from renewable sources. Geological formations can provide the possibility of storing energy on a medium- and long-term time scale. Knowledge of the underground storage of carbon dioxide and other gases will be useful for searching ofsites for underground storage of this gas. Due to the planned increasing share of renewable energy in electricity production in Poland, the issue of underground hydrogen storage will become increasingly relevant.
