Opis:
Efficiency of data transmissions with minimum latency levels and better resource utilization is a challenging issue in 5 G device-to-device (D 2D) environments. A novel technique referred to as single linkage steepest gradient gentle AdaBoost cluster-based device (SLSGAC) is introduced to improve device-to-device communications with minimum latency. The proposed technique uses the ensemble clustering approach to group mobile devices by constructing a set of weak clusters, based on the Minkowski single linkage clustering technique. In the weak clustering process, residual energy, bandwidth and SINR are estimated, and mobile devices are grouped based on the Minkowski distance measure. Results of the weak clustering process are combined to provide the final ensemble’s clustering output by applying the steepest gradient function to minimize the error rate. For each cluster, a head is selected from among the group members to improve the data transmission rate and minimize latency. Simulations are conducted comparing the proposed technique with the existing methods based on such metrics as energy efficiency, data delivery ratio, packet loss rate, throughput and latency.

Opis:
The second-order dynamical system x + [alpha]x + Beta[...] = 0, alpha > 0, Beta > 0, where the Hessian [...]Phi(x) acts as a geometric damping, is introduced, mainly in view of the minimization of [Phi]. Minimizing [Phi] is a problem equivalent to the minimization of the functional [Psi]a,b(x, y) = 1/b^2Phi(x) + 1/2|ax + by|^2, a > 0, b > 0. The latter naturallv appears in the proximal regularization of Phi ; it may also be viewed as an energy. The continuous steepest descent method applied to [Psi]a,b yields a first-order system, which proves to he equivalent to the above-mentioned second-order system, when [Phi] is of class [C^2].

Opis:
In this paper basic mathematical tasks of coordinate measurement are briefly described and a modified optimization algorithm is proposed. Coordinate measurement devices generate huge data set and require adapted methods to solve related mathematical problems in real time. The proposed algorithm possesses a simplified step size rule and finds the solution of the minimum circumscribed ball fitting after only a finite number The iteration is of the steepest descent type applied to the related distance function. But, in contrast to standard algorithms it uses a modified step size rule that takes into account the specific properties of the occurring objective function. This small difference in the code improves the performance of the algorithm and it enables real time use of the proposed method in coordinate measurement machines. The efficiency of the prosed algorithm will be illustrated by some typical examples.

Opis:
The problem of internal wave diffraction by a strip of an elastic plate of finite width present on the surface of an exponentially stratified liquid is investigated in this paper. Assuming linear theory, the problem is formulated in terms of a function related to the stream function describing the motion in the liquid. The related boundary value problem involves a hyperbolic type partial differential equation (PDE), known as the Klein Gordon equation. The method of Wiener-Hopf is utilized in the mathematical analysis to a slightly generalized boundary value problem (BVP) by introducing a small parameter, and the problem is solved approximately for large width of the plate. In the final results, this small parameter is made to tend to zero. The diffracted field is obtained in terms of integrals, which are then evaluated asymptotically in different regions for a large distance from the edges of the plate and the results are interpreted physically.
