The paper presents some problems of carrying out measurements of energetic characteristics and vessel’s performance in the conditions of sea examinations. As the object of propulsion characteristic determination was selected the ship with fixed pitch propeller. In order to formulate models of power characteristics, in first, known physical aspect were taken and subsequently statistic theory was implemented. Models of propulsion performance were built basing on two theoretical methods of determination of required shaft power and torque at a hub, as the function of propeller’s revolutionary speed and sailing condition represented by dimensionless coefficients. Model number one, based on Silukov method presents function with variable power index, of shaft power in domain of revolutionary speed. The second one presents model of torque variations, based on Silovic – Fancev method. For verification of models were taken presented in available bibliography, results of researches of ship’s propulsion systems [6]. We also discuss the manner of reducing the results of measurements to the standard conditions. We present the way of preparing propulsion characteristics and the analysis of examination uncertainty for the measurement of torque. Statistical analysis of deviation of results, using three models, proposed in the paper. As a result of analysis, one point from primary data set was rejected due to its unreliability, what was resulting with higher adequacy of characteristics.

In this paper, a method for the evaluation of the energy consumption of machine tools is presented. For this purpose, the energy consumption of various machine tools has been investigated experimentally. In order to increase the evaluation basis, measured values of energy consumption were also taken from literature. The evaluation contains an analysis of various factors concerning the productivity and the size of the investigated machine tools. This analysis is capable of detecting the impact factors to increase the energy-efficiency of production systems. It can further reduce the effort required for data acquisition when various machine tools are compared.

W artykule przedstawiono statystyczne kryteria zwiększające efektywność wykrywania defektów w badaniach nieniszczących materiałów kompozytowych z zastosowaniem metod termografii w podczerwieni, tworzenia map defektów i rozpoznawania obrazów. Przeanalizowano również wpływ szumów i zakłóceń na wyniki tych badań. Przedstawiono szereg przykładowych wyników badań eksperymentalnych ilustrujących analizowane zagadnienia.
Statistical criteria improving effectiveness of detection of defects in nondestructive testing of composite materials by IR thermography methods and creating defect maps and recognition of pictures are presented in the paper. The influence of noises and disturbances on results of these testing was analyzed. Some exemplary results of experimental tests are also presented to illustrate presented problems.

Gala Lake National Park that has an international importance is one of the most important wetland ecosystems for Turkey. As same as many aquatic habitats, Gala Lake is under a significant anthropogenic pressure originated from agricultural activities conducted around the lake and from industrial discharges by means of Ergene River. The aim of this study was to evaluate the sediment quality of Gala Lake and Irrigation Canal by investigating some toxic element accumulations (As, B, Ni, Cr, Pb, Cd, Zn and Cu) from a statistical perspective. Pearson Correlation Index (PCI) and Factor Analysis (FA) were applied to detected data in order to determine the associated contaminants and effective factors on the system. Potential Ecological Risk Index (RI) and Biological Risk Index based sediment quality guidelines (mERM-Q) applied to detected data in order to assess the ecological and biological risks of heavy metals in the ecosystem. Also Geographic Information System (GIS) technology was used to make visual explanations by presenting distribution maps of investigated elements. According to the results of PCI, significant positive correlations were recorded among the investigated toxic elements at 0.01 significance level. According to the results of FA, two factors, which were named as “Agricultural Factor” and “Industrial Factor”, explained 86.6% of the total variance. According to the results of Potential Ecological Risk Index, cadmium was found to be the highest risk factor and according to results of Biological Risk Index, nickel and chromium were found to be the highest risk factors for Gala Lake and Irrigation Canal. As a result of the present study, it was also determined that heavy metal contents in sediments of Gala Lake National Park reached to critical levels and the system is intensively under effect of agricultural and industrial originated pollution.

In Northeast Vietnam, Suoi Thau-Sang Than is considered as a high potential area of polymetallic deposits. 1,720 geochemical samples were used to investigate polymetallic mineralization; thereby polymetallic ore occurrences in this study region were discovered and the statistical and multivariate analysis helps to define geochemical anomalies in some northeastern regions, namely Suoi Thau, Sang Than, and Ban Kep. The statistical method and cluster analysis of geochemical data indicate that the Cu, Pb, and Zn elements are good indicators, and most of them comply with the lognormal or gamma distribution. Based on the third-order threshold, the geochemical anomalies of the content of the Cu, Pb, and Zn elements reflect the concentration of copper forming ore bodies in the mineralized zone, and clearly show the concentration in three distinct zones. The trend surface analysis which was employed to determine spatial variations and relationships among these good indicator elements and anomalous areas revealed relative changes in the content of the indicator elements, and they can be considered as regular. Moreover, the goodness of fit obtained trend functions of Pb and Zn, and Cu elements is a third-degree trend surface model. These results indicate that the models can be useful in studying geochemical anomalies and analyzing the tendency of the concentration of indicator elements in the Suoi Thau-Sang Than region. Additionally, it is suggested that the statistical analysis shows a remarkable potential to use the bottom river sediments in the region to investigate polymetallic mineralization. Moreover, geochemical data can help to evaluate geochemical anomalies of the pathfinder elements and potential mineral mapping of the Suoi Thau-Sang Than region in Northeast Vietnam.

The work presents analysis of chemical condition of the water of the River Bug stretch extending from Kiryłowo to Krzyszew. The analysis was preformed based on data of monitoring of surface water quality available on the website of Voivodeship Inspectorate of Environmental Protection in Lublin (WIOŚ) spanning the years 2015-2017. Eight measurement points and the following months were considered: February, April, June, August, October and December. Analysis of variance and Kruskal-Wallis test were used to analyse the effect of localities and months on selected chemical indicators. The concentrations of nearly all the parameters (excluding BOD) were found to be influenced by the localities. Phosphorus content, sulphates and chlorides increased along the course of the river. Also, the analysis revealed that the concentration of ammonium ions, dissolved oxygen, sulphates and chlorides increased in winter. Multidimensional analysis demonstrated that differences in chemical conditions between the localities were predominantly due to nitrogen compound content, total phosphorus content and chlorides. Cluster analysis showed that in nearly all the months (excluding August) the tested stretch of the River Bug could be divided into two parts with different chemical composition parameters. The first part, characterised by higher average values of ammonium nitrogen content, dissolved oxygen content and total phosphorus content, included the following measurement points: Krzyszew, Kukuryki, Włodawa and Kuzawka. The second part was formed by the following localities: Kryłów, Zosin and Horodło, all with higher average BOD values, sulphates and chlorides.
W pracy przedstawiano analizę chemicznego stanu wód rzeki Bug na odcinku od Kryłowa do Krzyszewa. Analizy tej dokonano na podstawie danych pochodzących z monitoringu jakości wód powierzchniowych zamieszczonych na stronie Wojewódzkiego Inspektoratu Ochrony Środowiska w Lublinie (WIOŚ) z lat 2015-2017. Pod uwagę wzięto dane z lutego, kwietnia, czerwca, sierpnia, października i grudnia z 8 punktów pomiarowych. Przy pomocy analizy wariancji oraz testu Kruskala-Wallisa przeanalizowano wpływ miejscowości oraz miesięcy na zawartość wybranych wskaźników chemicznych. Stwierdzono, że zawartość prawie wszystkich parametrów (poza BZT5) różnicowana była przez miejscowości. Wraz z biegiem rzeki zmniejszała się zawartość fosforu, siarczanów i chlorków. Analiza wykazała ponadto, że zimą rosło stężenie jonów amonowych, zawartość tlenu rozpuszczonego, siarczanów i chlorków. Wielowymiarowa analiza natomiast dowiodła, że różnice stanu chemicznego pomiędzy miejscowościami związane były głównie z zawartością związków azotu, fosforu ogólnego oraz chlorków. Na podstawie analizy skupień prawie we wszystkich miesiącach (poza sierpniem) odcinek rzeki Bug pod względem stanu chemicznego można podzielić na dwie części. Pierwszą grupę stanowi odcinek rzeki z punktami pomiarowymi w Krzyszewie, Kukurykach, Włodawie i Kuzawce o większych średnich zawartościach azotu amonowego, tlenu rozpuszczalnego i fosforu ogólnego. Drugą grupę utworzyły miejscowości: Kryłów, Zosin i Horodło o wyższych średnich stężeniach BTZ5, siarczanów i chlorków.

The article concentrates on the development of theoretical and methodological foundations of statistical research in the field of national environmental and economic accounting, which forms the basis for the development of indicators of climate change under martial law and shapes the adaptation to these changes. Given Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, the national statistical system is faced with an urgent task of ensuring the continuity of the production of complete and high quality statistical information. The issue of forming a methodology for the production of statistical information in the field of ecology, i.e. climate change statistics, remains unresolved. Outlining ways to address this issue is an important condition for the improvement of modern state statistics of Ukraine and the development of statistical theory and practice, as this largely determines the quality of the information-related support for environmental management at all levels. The statistical estimation of the dynamics and structure of greenhouse gas emissions on the basis of the economic activity of enterprises was performed. It was pointed out that among the various related branch methods of obtaining information, the system of environmental and economic accounting is the most relevant and source of high quality data. One of the aspects of solving the complex problem of forming methodological bases for collecting statistical environmental information is the creation of a national system of indicators of climate change and preparing statistical informational products using administrative data sources. The paper studies issues of producing ecological information relating to Ukraine according to statistical data. Moreover, the main problems which arise during the construction of national environmental accounts were characterised. Finally, the paper identified the key factors which influence to the largest extent the quality of statistical data and calculations, and which are necessary for the transformation and development of the statistical estimation of climate change under Russian military aggression.

At Lawspet area in Puducherry, India, a unique situation of co-disposal of solid waste dumping and secondary wastewater disposal on land, prevails simultaneously within the same campus. So an attempt is made to assess the combined effect of this co-disposal on the environmental quality and pollution effects on groundwater quality with a view to correctly monitor the situation. Multivariate statistical analysis like hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) and discriminant analysis (DA) were employed. HCA was performed on borewells, physiochemical parameters and seasons. Borewell clustering identified four clusters illustrating varying degree of groundwater contamination. In parameter clustering, two major clusters were formed indicating hardness and anthropogenic components. Temporal clustering identified three major clusters indicating pre-monsoon, monsoon and post-monsoon. Discriminant analysis revealed nine significant parameters which discriminate four clusters qualitatively affording 86% correct assignation to discriminate among the clusters. Also three major components viz. anthropogenic, hardness and geogenic responsible for groundwater quality in the study area were identified. Conclusively the investigation revealed that the direction of the contaminant transport is towards the southeast direction of the study area, where all the borewells (100%) are affected.
