    Opis:
    The number of empirical studies on German social work makes it difficult to gain a clear picture of them all. The increasing academisation of education and the expansion of study programs also reveal an increase in social work research in Germany. This article traces this development and discusses open questions. In addition, it demonstrates the importance of qualitative research, in particular for the development of professional casework. The paper proposes a systematization of German research in the field of social work and discusses this systematization based on the example of a study. Finally, the paper presents some further aspects and recent developments.

    The 46th NERA Congress was held on March 8th to 10th 2018 at the University of Oslo. The Nordic Educational Research Association (NERA) brings together researchers in the field of educational sciences in the Nordic countries. An essential part of the association and the congress are NERA’s 24 networks organised around different subject areas in educational sciences such as early childhood research, youth research and more. There is also a network for social pedagogy. Its aim is to develop and strengthen the cooperation between researchers and professional groups, engaged or interested in the field of social pedagogy, in the Nordic countries and even wider in Northern Europe like in Poland and Germany. It is currently coordinated by six researchers from five different countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Poland and Sweden.

    The author shortly presents a new paradigm of social research on multiculturality as called the postcolonial indigenous paradigm. He bases in this presentation on the book by Bagele Chilisa, professor at the University of Botswana who is researcher represented this paradigm and author of methodological monograph under the title Indigenous research methodologies (2012). Postcolonial indigenous paradigm is synergy and transgression of three known paradigms in social sciences as means: critical theory, constructive, and participative ones. The author asks for possibility of using postcolonial indigenous paradigm in social research on multiculturality in Poland. His answer to this question is an exemplification of research project concerning problems of the Roma education in Polish schools. He proposes looking for new political concepts and practical solutions of problems of multiculturality with regards to ideas of postcolonial indigenous paradigm.

Założycielką tej nauki w Polsce jest Helena Radlińska.Poznanie naukowe badanej rzeczywistości służy przetwarzaniu warunków życia osób, rodzin i grupspołecznych. W tradycji badań społeczno-pedagogicznych badanie łączy się ściśle z działaniem. Podkreślała to H. Radlińska w założeniach metodologicznych pedagogiki społecznej. W toku edukacji pedagogów społecznych istotnym elementem jest kształtowanie kompetencji badawczych. Są one ważnym składnikiem przygotowania do służby społecznej, oświatowej, wychowawczej oraz kulturalnej.
    Social pedagogy is a practical discipline. Helena Radlińska is the founder of this science in Poland.Conducting scientific research on the reality of human life serves to transform the living conditions of people, families or social groups. H. Radlińska underlined it in the methodological assumptions of thesocial pedagogy. During the education of social pedagogues the formation of research competencies is animportant element of their educational process. They are a very important component of the preparationfor social, educational and cultural service.

    Tekst podejmuje kwestie metodologiczne oraz etyczne pojawiające się, gdy metoda biograficzna oparta na wywiadzie narracyjnym wiązana jest z emancypacyjną praktyką społeczno-pedagogiczną. Jako że zalety podejścia biograficznego były już wielokrotnie analizowane, a samo pojęcie „narracja” cieszy się niezwykłą popularnością we współczesnym dyskursie publicznym, tytułowe zagadnienie będzie rozwijane w perspektywie krytycznej. Ostatnia część tekstu poświęcona jest zakresowi przystawalności metody biograficznej do podstawowych założeń i celów badań partycypacyjnych. W tym zakresie rozwijana w artykule rekonstrukcja obejmuje potencjały emancypacyjne oraz aktywizujące metody biograficznej.
    The text addresses methodological and ethical issues that arise when a biographical method based on a narrative interview is associated with an emancipatory social-pedagogical practice. As the advantages of the biographical approach have already been analyzed any times, and the concept “narration” is increasingly popular in contemporary public discourse, the title issue will be developed in a critical perspective. The last part of the text is devoted to the analysis of compatibility of the biographical approach with the basic assumptions and objectives of participatory action research. The further reconstruction includes emancipatory potentials of biographical research methods.

    The article pertain to a case study research of social assistance processes in a social policy system of G. city. A main method of investigation was opened, unstandardized systematic interviews with social workers, political figures and administrators of the system. Social services in experiences of our respondents we have interpreted as games for uncertainty control. The games in perspectives of social workers and administrators of the system we understand as pedagogical environments for customers which in the processes of these interactional games shape many of the social, adaptive skills. Such skills enable customers institutional identity management and effective winning spheres of freedom from control. Behavioural strategies of social workers in institutional and organizational environment in relation to customers we conceptualize as exchange models of a “gift for power” above customers spheres of uncertainty control. Inefficiency of social assistance comes from incapacity of such aid to effectively exchange gifts for uncertainty control in daily situations for customers. The Institution of social services has many functional substitutes in social, political and economic environments which are much more effective. Second goal of our investigation was a presentation and portrayal of the real pedagogical environment of social workers. Theory of social intervention and social pedagogy suffers from too many abstracts from reality foundations, premises und presumptions. So social pedagogy as practical science needs also careful and diligent investigation of

    W artykule autorki poszukują odpowiedzi na postawione pytania w ramach realizowanego przez siebie ogólnopolskiego projektu. Projekt realizowany był w dwóch edycjach (w 2017 i 2019 r.). Badania były przeprowadzane dwukrotnie na całej populacji dzielnicowych w Polsce. Projekt był elementem kampanii prowadzonej pod patronatem MSWiA pt. „Dzielnicowy bliżej Nas” i zakładał promocję nowej formuły pełnienia służby dzielnicowych. Autorki promują koncepcję dzielnicowego streetworkera. W artykule odpowiadają między innymi na pytania czy rolą dzielnicowego powinno być realizowanie zadań w zakresie profilaktyki społecznej oraz jakie czynniki utrudniają dzielnicowym pracę w zakresie profilaktyki społecznej.
    In this article, the authors search for an answer to the question as part of a nationwide project which is being implemented. The project was introduced in two editions (2017 and 2019 years). The research was carried out on the entire population of districts in Poland. The project was part of the campaign conducted under the patronage of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration, entitled “Dzielnicowy bliżej Nas”. It assumed the promotion of a new formula of performing district service. The authors promote the concept of a district street worker. In the article, they answer, among others, whether the role of the district head should be to carry out tasks in the field of social prevention and what factors make it difficult for district workers to work in the area of social prevention.
