Opis:
Two coupling superconducting qubits are studied for the quantum concurrence, discord, and Pancharatnam phase, for the X and Y states under the dephasing and instantaneous decay environment as well as their couplings. We find that the X and Y states are special mixed states according to the Bloch radius. In general, the larger the environment and phonon number are at the larger region of time, the larger the quantum concurrence and discord are. But we find that the environment correlations are helpful to implement the quantum computation. The Pancharatnam phases provide a way to distinguish the X and Y states.

Opis:
We review results of our modeling of excitons and excitonic trions confined in vertically stacked InGaAs/GaAs self-assembled quantum dots. Electrons and holes in double quantum dots are much more significantly correlated than in a single dot. For that reason our modeling was based on simple confinement potentials that allow for an exact diagonalization of the resulting two- and three-particle Hamiltonians with a precise account for the relative electron and hole localization along the stack. We studied the optical signatures of the coupling in context of the photoluminescence experiments performed in the external electric field. The calculations predicted prior to the experiment the mechanism of the exciton and negative trion dissociation by electron removal from the dot occupied by the hole. We discuss the competition between the tunnel and the electrostatic interdot couplings. Effects of the non-perfect alignment of the dots as well as stacks containing more than two dots are also discussed.

The objective of this paper is twofold. First, a novel multidisciplinary model will be outlined, which was built across anthropocentric linguistics, quantum physics and neurobiology and which is aimed at offering a possible solution to the problem of human text pattern recognition. It has to be highlighted that the present considerations are preliminary. Second, a conceptual introduction to the multidisciplinary approach to modeling in linguistics in the light of the anthropocentric theory of human languages will be provided.

Studies of an enhancement of current shot noises are presented for a device of two large quantum dots coupled capacitively. We analyze current-current correlation functions, and show that a dynamical Coulomb blockade is responsible for an enhancement of the Fano factors. This process can lead also to an electron bunching and positive current cross-correlations. Our theoretical results are discussed in light of recent shot noise experiments.

Waiting times between subsequent tunneling events in the double quantum dot system are shown to be correlated. The magnitude and the sign of the cross-correlation depend on the degree and the character of modulation of tunneling rates in the one dot due to the interaction with the charge state of the other, as well as on the relation between different time scales of the system dynamics.

We report correlation and cross-correlation continuous wave measurements in II-VI quantum dots grown by molecular beam epitaxy. Combination of spectral selection, saturation measurements and good temporal resolution allowed us to see an antibunching effect on photons from radiative recombination of excitons in a single CdTe/ZnTe quantum dot, as well as cross-correlation within the biexciton (X$\text{}_{2}$)-exciton (X) radiative cascade from the same dot. We discuss the results of our experiments in terms of a model of excitonic multitransitions.

We analyze current auto- and cross-correlations in the system of two capacitively coupled large quantum dots. Our attention is focused on the strong inter-dot coupling when an electron transfer through one of the quantum dots induces charge pumping through the second quantum dot. We show individual contributions to shot noise from various tunneling processes in the charge space.

Opis:
The population, molecular and submolecular (quantum) levels of oncogenesis are considered. The quantum description takes into account the nonlocal Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen correlations, interactions at-the-distance, quantum entanglement and macroscopic quantum coherence. In this approach, cancerogenesis is initiated by destruction of the quantum entanglement of the DNA molecules due to mutation, which leads to appearance of an oncogen and a local decoherence of the organism. In the genetic approach a cancer is the gene disease, whereas in the quantum approach — a disease of the living system. On the basis of the Humphreys criteria, an attempt of the ontological classification of bio- and ontogenesis is made. Those phenomena can be considered in terms of the coherent, synchronic and holistic emergence.

We study the influence of electron correlations on nonequilibrium transport through the quantum dots coupled between one metallic and one superconducting electrode. Such type of nanodevices are characterized by the induced on-dot pairing spread from the superconducting lead (proximity effect) and effectively responsible for mixing the particle with hole excitations. On the other hand, strong Coulomb repulsion between the opposite spin electrons tends to suppress a double occupancy of the quantum dots competing with the on-dot superconducting order. The Coulomb interactions can also cause a screening of the quantum dot spin by itinerant electrons of the metallic lead giving rise to formation of the Kondo resonance. We analyze interplay of such phenomena for the setup of double quantum dots where the quantum interference (such as Fano) effects influence the subgap electron transport through the Andreev scattering.

The present work is focused on the investigation of magneto-structural correlations in Cu(en)Cl₂ and Cu(tn)Cl₂. A comparative study of powder susceptibility and magnetization of both compounds revealed that the replacement of tn by en ligand did not affect single-ion properties. On the other hand, the structure modification led to significant reduction of magnetic interactions as well as lowering the crystal symmetry. The impact of the high pressure on magnetic properties of the compounds is discussed.

In this work we demonstrate a novel experimental approach to the study of single photon correlations. The introduction of the multichannel detection setup enables the simultaneous measurement of a large number of correlation functions for photons emitted from different energetic ranges. The advantages of this new approach were exploited in a detailed study of the biexciton-exciton recombination cascade in CdTe/ZnTe quantum dots doped with a few $Mn^{2+}$ ions. The information about the dynamics of the magnetic system in the quantum dot during the lifetime of the exciton was obtained from the analysis of the correlation functions.
