    Celem artykułu analiza procesów optymalizacji magazynowych w wybranym przedsiębiorstwie. Problem badawczy wyrażona następujące pytanie: Jaki wpływ ma odpowiednie zagospodarowanie przestrzeni użytkowej magazynu w przedsiębiorstwie X na efektywność realizowanych procesów magazynowych? Podczas opracowania tego artykułu wykorzystano następujące metody badawcze: analiza literatury i dokumentów przedsiębiorstwa, synteza, wnioskowanie oraz narzędzie badawcze, jakim była analiza wskaźnikowa. Artykuł składa się ze wstępu kreślącego ideę rozważań problemów podjętych w opracowaniu, części głównej dotyczącej ujęcia teoretycznego systemu magazynowania, charakterystyki przedsiębiorstwa, analizy i oceny zagospodarowania przestrzeni użytkowej magazynu przedsiębiorstwa X oraz koncepcji poprawiającej efektywność eksploatowanego magazynu.
    The aim of the article was to optimize warehouse processes in the selected company. The research problem is expressed in the form of a question is: What impact has the appropriate use of space usable storage in the enterprise X on the effectiveness of the processes of storage? During the development of this article we use the following research methods such as literature analysis and business documents, synthesis, reasoning and research tool, which was a ratio analysis. The article consists of an introduction describing a trajectory idea reflection of concerns in the development, part of the main theoretical approach on the storage system, the characteristics of the company, analysis and evaluation of the development of usable storage company X and the concept of improving the efficiency of operated warehouse.

    Warehousing is a labour-intensive process, requiring warehouse operators to use different methods of work and various equipment and to be in constant motion. During this process, various types of warehousing errors can occur, which can be reduced with the introduction of a suitable strategy. A prerequisite for this is to have sufficient knowledge of the specifics of error prevention in the warehouse process that are mainly linked to how warehouse operators perceive the usefulness of modern technology, the introduction of modern work processes and their own accountability in work. This study aims to develop a strategy that takes into account these aspects and is an ideal solution for the prevention of potential errors in the warehouse process of the company.

    The paper presents the concept of a dynamic business process management and the possibility of its use in the context of the construction of medical decision support system based on a repository of clinical pathways. In addition, the report includes a summary of key findings and conclusions (for the clinical pathways modeling of their adaptive and interoperable nature and warehouse processes/clinical pathways as a basis for the analysis and optimization of their implementation) of the POIG.01.03.01-145/08 project, funded by the Operational Program "Innovative Economy" under the European Regional Development Fund and executed in 2009-2010 at the Faculty of Cybernetics Military University of Technology.

    Purpose: The main aim of the article is indicates the possibilities of streamline the public procurement picking process taking place in the selected warehouse. Design/methodology/approach: Areas requiring corrective action have been identified through the use of the indicator method and Ishikawa diagram. For reorganizing the storage zone, thereby reducing order picking time, ABC analysis was used. Findings: The analysis of test results allowed to identify two areas requiring improvement in the picking process: productivity and organization of the storage zone. In order to improve the picking process, it was proposed to reorganize the storage zone. Originality/value: The article presents a practical value for better logistics processes in warehouse. The analysis of corrective actions areas can also reduce the number of errors when picking the products in warehouse.

    W artykule przedstawiono analizę procesów magazynowania z wykorzystaniem notacji BPMN w środowisku informatycznym iGrafx. Autorzy w artykule przedstawili opracowany model procesu magazynowania w magazynie dystrybucyjnym. Model jest wynikiem prac optymalizacyjnych na rzecz przedsiębiorstw, realizowanych w ramach działalności Instytutu Logistyki i Magazynowania oraz prac badawczych w Wyższej Szkole Logistyki. Przedstawiono również wyniki przeprowadzonych badań symulacyjnych dla następujących zmiennych: wariantowości w zmianowości pracy, rozdziału godzin pracy w zakresie obsługi dostaw i wydań oraz odpowiedniego przydziału niezbędnych zasobów do realizacji procesów. Weryfikacja symulacyjna tych wariantów pozwala stwierdzić, że opracowany model procesu magazynowania jest uniwersalny i możliwy do implementacji w praktyce biznesowej do przeprowadzenia analiz efektywności procesów magazynowych.
    The paper presents an analysis of warehouse processes using BPMN notations in the iGrafx IT environment. The authors of the article presented the developed model of the warehousing process in the distribution warehouse. The model is the result of optimisation works for enterprises carried out within the framework of the activities of the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing and research works at the Poznan School of Logistics. The results of the simulation studies were also presented for the following variables: variance in work shifts, division of working hours in the scope of delivery and issue service and appropriate allocation of necessary resources to implement the processes. Simulation verification of these variants allows to state that the developed model of the warehouse process is universal and can be implemented in business practice for the purpose of conducting analyses of the warehouse process efficiency.

    Modelowanie obiektów magazynowych, tj. badanie ich właściwości za pomocą uproszczonego odpowiednika – modelu, jest jednym z możliwych sposobów dążenia do poprawy jakości i ceny oferowanych usług. W artykule przedstawiono cele modelowania obiektów magazynowych oraz wymagania stawiane modelom matematycznym je odwzorowującym. Kolejny punkt poświęcono modelowaniu procesów magazynowych. Zaprezentowano procedurę modelowania procesów magazynowych. Przedstawiono także koncepcję modelu optymalizacji procesów magazynowych. Proponowany model matematyczny odzwierciedla strukturę fizyczną, funkcjonalną i potencjał obsługowy magazynu dowolnego typu oraz umożliwia odwzorowanie różnych procesów magazynowych i strategii ich realizacji.
    Modelling of storage facilities is one of possible ways to improve the quality and price of offered services. The article presents goals of modelling warehouse objects and the requirements for mathematical models that map them. A procedure for modelling warehouse processes is presented. The concept of storage optimization model was also presented. The proposed mathematical model reflects the physical, functional and service potential of any type of warehouse, and enables mapping of various warehouse processes and strategies for their implementation.

    This paper presents the order-picking problem as a multicriteria task. Using simulation tool 360 variants of solution were generated. The different combinations of the picking zone's shape, the number of forklift trucks and the picker-routing methods were considered. The variants were evaluated by seven criteria and the dominated solutions were removed. Then, using the Electre I method, the number of solutions was even more limited. The paper discusses and presents conclusions how to optimize the order-picking process.

    In this article, the results of a series of selected algorithms used during the picking of goods in a warehouse, assuming the order of stacking goods in transport containers is predetermined, are analysed, simulated and evaluated. The importance of the development of this type of algorithms is the possibility of reducing the waiting time of both transport and goods in order to reduce the total cost of the picking process. Afterwards, the results will be analysed by varying the parameters and evaluating the solutions. The aim is to show the results of various picking algorithms when their subsequent stacking order is predetermined, and to use these to identify relationships and define guidelines that could be used to support the design of similar picking algorithms.

    In the face of challenges faced by today’s managers, such as unreliability of processes conducted within the company, low quality of materials, too long time of fulfilling the customer orders and missing the deadlines of their implementation, the role of dynamic parameters of the warehousing as the source of competitive advantage of a modern enterprise is growing. The aim of the study is to identify and analyze the factors determining the effective implementation of the warehousing in the Distribution Center. In the research there has been adopted the following hypothesis: with the increase in the number of customer orders, which is characterized by an increasingly smaller number of assortment items, the importance of managing constraints limiting the material flow within the warehousing is increasing. The above-mentioned hypothesis is verified in accordance with the test procedure including literature research and a case study. The research results show that the Theory of Constraints is an excellent tool supporting the transformation of the warehouse management method. With the help of the Theory of Constraints it is possible to determine precisely the places in the material flow, where the adaptation actions undertaken bring down the greatest effects.

    The paper proposes a new approach to the agglomeration of data in cluster analysis. These approach faces the problem of data classification where under the same conditions different conclusions are draw. Such problems occur in many areas of daily life: medicine, technology, and economic and social sciences and economics. The new approach assumes that events like the harvest are attributed to the cumulative probability of their occurrence at the same time. Such approaches will not be found in probability. Thanks to the mathematical theory of records fairly accurate classification of the object can be provided. The paper presents a method of agglomeration of measurement data using the mathematical theory of records. This is the method which can be used in the cluster analysis by agglomeration.

    Stale zmieniające się trendy i rosnąca presja związana z ciągłymi zmianami i wzrostem oczekiwań rynku wpływa na zmianę struktury łańcucha dostaw, a także lokalizację i pracę magazynów. Obecnie w celu zaplanowania rozmieszczenia produktów w magazynie wykorzystywane są metody klasyfikacji produktów. Do klasycznych metod klasyfikacji produktów można zaliczyć te, które wykorzystują analizy: ABC, XYZ, EIQ oraz Index COI. W niniejszej pracy przeprowadzone zostały symulacje pozwalające oszacować efektywność wymienionych metod.
    Constantly changing trends and increasing the pressure of constant change influences the change of structure of the supply chain, as well as the location and operation of warehouses. Nowadays, in order to plan the distribution of products in the warehouse are used methods of a product classification. To the classical methods of product classification may include the following analysis: ABC, XYZ, and EIQ Index COI. In this study were conducted simulations enabling estimation effectiveness of these methods.

Za pomocą programu stworzono magazyn oraz dokonano symulacji z wykorzystaniem zdefiniowanych parametrów umożliwiających dokonanie wyboru strategii kompletacji.
    This chapter presents the importance of the picking zone in the warehouse process and presents two original strategies. The authors developed a simulation strategy and built a warehouse model using Lego Mindstorms, where all warehouse processes were mapped. FlexSim computer software was used for spatial visualisation. The programme was used to create the warehouse and simulate it, using predefined parameters to select a picking strategy.

    The aim of this paper is to discuss and explain the use of simulation methods in basic research on the most complicated type of processes in internal logistics, namely order-picking process, in case of high-rack warehouse(s). The research was conducted for randomized orders in picking lists. The analysis in the paper leads to determination whether the gained samples of data could be assigned as any theoretical probability distribution. By the name ”samples of data”, time durations of entire order-picking processes are understood. In order to study these processes, a simulation model was developed. The model was validated in order to compare its performance with classic method of order-picking time calculation in engineering practice. The simulation model considered in the paper was developed in accordance with guidelines of Discrete Event System Specification (DEVS) structure. The simulation tool used to build and analyze the simulation model was Plant Simulation 10.1.

The third chapter presents examples of magazines using these technologies, and also draws attention to the fact that not all companies are ready to introduce this type of innovation in their warehouses.

    In the paper an effort to use a pre-defined simulation model of a high-bay warehouse was made. It was done in order to research dynamic changes of material-flow in such a logistics facility. The paper consists of brief information about research tools e.g. Siemens Tecnomatix® Plant Simulation software and the logistics facility designing method, pre-defined by author of the paper (the method considers supplementary option, which is the sub-optimisation of functional and spatial areas inside a warehouse being designed with using the method). In addition, phases of the simulation research procedure are briefly described in the paper. The simulation research procedure is defined by author of the paper and it especially consists of constructing and using any simulation model. Chosen results of the research are enriched by some conclusions. Besides, the paper contains suggestions about forthcoming considerations of the research matter.

    The aim of the article was to present research on the application of information systems in optimizing warehouse processes. The theoretical aspects describing the fundamentals of warehouse processes were discussed. The theoretical foundations of information systems were also developed, with particular emphasis on systems used in warehouse processes. The results of conducted research among manufacturing organizations with complex warehouse processes were presented, which declared the implementation of ERP, WMS, and SCM systems. Based on the research findings, conclusions were drawn along with the direction of development in the area of digitizing warehouse processes.

    This paper presents a proposal of multi-criteria optimization methods in the selection of vehicles in warehouse logistics (storage of goods and building materials). Multi-objective optimization was shown on the example of the selection of forklift trucks available on a domestic market. For this purpose there were Bellinger and Electre III methods used, describing their basic assumptions and evaluating their strengths and weaknesses. In addition, the results obtained with both variants of decision-making methods were compared with the use of ranking.
    W artykule przedstawiono propozycję zastosowania metod optymalizacji wielokryterialnej w procesie doboru środków transportowych w logistyce magazynowej (magazyny wyrobów i materiałów budowlanych). Optymalizacja wielokryterialna została pokazana na przykładzie doboru wózków widłowych dostępnych na rynku krajowym. Wykorzystano do tego celu metody Bellingera i Electre III, opisując ich podstawowe założenia oraz dokonując oceny ich wad i zalet. Ponadto porównano wyniki rankingu wariantów decyzyjnych otrzymanych obiema metodami.

    This article addresses the issue of the Pick By Line Process used by the logistics company, with the impeachment application, that is the improvement implementation in the PBL distribution channel, by developing the system solution to ensure a uniform distribution of the assortment line in the absence of 100% of assortment by the supplier, in order to improve the product availability for the customers in the aforementioned situation. In the logistics company, the modern solutions were used to monitor the functionality of limiting the stock status of goods, as well as of increasing the warehouse capacity in the number of the assortment lines. The method of quantitative observation was used to develop the program concept at the aforementioned workstation based on available literature.

    The pressure connected with cost cutting parallel to an increase in consumer service quality as well as speeding up the flow of goods are the result of a worldwide economy trend connected with big competition in the market. That is why in modern economy even small movements of goods at short distances are becoming more and more important. The order picking problems in a warehouse are an important aspect in improving the productivity of modern logistic hubs. According to various estimates, the costs associated with order picking in a warehouse are from 55 to 65% of the total material handling costs. The author, using simulation tools, examines the influence of order picking zone’s configuration on the time of the order picking process. By means of the implemented simulation methods, it is possible to match the appropriate order picking process to the needs of a given enterprise.

    This study demonstrates application of Lean techniques to improve working process in a sewing machine factory, focusing on the raw material picking process. The value stream mapping and flow process chart techniques were utilized to identify the value added activities, non-value activities and necessary but non-value added activities in the current process. The ECRS (Eliminate, Combine, Rearrange and Simplify) in waste reduction was subsequently applied to improve the working process by (i) adjusting the raw material picking procedures and pre-packing raw material as per demand, (ii) adding symbols onto the containers to reduce time spent in picking material based on visual control principle, and (iii) developing and zoning storage area, identifying level location for each row and also applying algorithms generated from a solver program and linear programming to appropriately define the location of raw material storage. Improvement in the raw material picking process was realized, cutting down six out of 11 procedures in material picking or by 55%, reducing material picking time from 24 to 4 min or by 83%. The distance to handle material in the warehouse can be shortened by 120 m per time or 2,400 m per day, equal to 86% reduction. Lean techniques proved to provide significant improvement in sewing machine company operations.

    Countries’ defence industries are the leading indicator of their global power. The warehouse is the place where the materials are kept until the customer order arrives so that the companies are viable and can respond appropriately to internal/external customer demands. In this regard, warehouse location plays a vital role in the defence industry in terms of storage options with increased flexibility, a simplified supply chain with cost management and optimal positioning according to deployment locations. In this study, the decision on the location of warehouses for logistic support during the warranty period of military vehicles manufactured and supplied to the armed forces by a defence company was made. It is aimed to propose the best solution to a real-life problem with high complexity, containing many data and constraints. In this context, the criteria that are thought to be most relevant to this problem have been determined by taking expert opinions. Having determined the order of importance of the requirements by the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) with the Super Decisions V 2.10, their weights were included as a coefficient of the objective function in the goal programming (GP) model. As a result of solving the GP model using GAMS (general algebraic modelling system), it was decided to select the warehouses that provided the optimal results among the alternative warehouse locations in 9 different locations. Furthermore, to see the impact of changes in criterion weights, sensitivity analysis has also been included. The significance of this research lies within the integrated usage of AHP and GP in the defence industry when determining warehouse locations by the experts’ opinions. With this study, not only a solution strategy was developed, but also a basis for the warehouse location decision in the defence industry projects already signed or to be signed was given.

    Celem artykułu jest charakterystyka procesu inwentaryzacji w systemach logistycznych przedsiębiorstwa handlu detalicznego wielko-powierzchniowego, poprzez wskazanie jego celu, zakresu, etapów oraz obowiązu-jących zasad. Pierwsza jego część będzie zawierać opis badanego podmiotu w trzech wymiarach, tj. podmiotowym, rzeczowym oraz czynnościowym. Wynikiem końcowym będzie identyfikacja jego struktury organizacyjnej oraz opracowanie planu zagospodarowania jego powierzchni. Dodatkowo wskazany zostanie zakres stosowanych urządzeń technicznych oraz zidentyfikowane będą główne procesy logistyczne. Druga część referatu będzie omawiać pojęcie „inwentaryzacja”, cele szczegółowe tego procesu oraz zawierać będzie jego charakterystykę, przyjmując kryterium zakresu, rodzaju, sposobu przeprowadzenia oraz metody. Ponadto zostanie wskazany obowiązujący termin realizacji inwentaryzacji, jej zakres przedmiotowy oraz osoby odpowiedzialne. W trzeciej części publikacji wyznaczone zostaną etapy procesu inwentaryzacji na potrzeby badanego systemu wraz z podaniem harmonogramu ich realizacji. Omówione zostaną podstawowe zasady obowiązujące oraz powszechnie stosowane dokumenty. W końcowej części referatu przedstawione będą błędy, jakie mogą wystąpić podczas realizacji tego procesu oraz wskazane zostaną ich przyczyny.
    The aim of this paper is the characteristic of an inventory process in the logistic system of a large-area retail enterprises defining a purpose, scope, responsibilities, stages and rules. The first part will contain a description of the audited subject in three dimensions, it means: subjective, objective and functional. The final result will be to identify the organizational structure and to prepare a development plan of its area. Additionally it will be indicated the applied technical equipment and the main logistic processes will be identified. The second part of the paper will be devoted to the concept of inventory, the specific objectives of this process and will include the characteristics of accepting the criteria of scope, type and manner of conducting the method. There will be also indicated a valid inventory deadline, its scope and responsible individuals. In the third part of the paper on the needs of logistics system there will be indicated the stages of this process, together with a timetable for their implementation. We will discuss the basic rules and commonly used documents. In the final part of the paper there will be presented the errors that may occur during the inventory process and there will be indicated their reasons.

    Można wyróżnić dwa rodzaje przechowywania produktów w magazynie – przechowywanie dedykowane i współdzielone. W przechowywaniu dedykowanym każdy produkt jest przydzielony do konkretnej lokalizacji i na odwrót – w danej lokalizacji jest przechowywany tylko jeden produkt. Bardziej efektywne, jeżeli chodzi o wykorzystanie powierzchni magazynowej, jest przechowywanie współdzielone, w którym teoretycznie każdy produkt może występować w dowolnej liczbie lokalizacji i w każdej lokalizacji może być przechowywana dowolna liczba produktów. W takim przypadku, w procesie kompletacji zamówienia dany produkt można pobrać z wielu różnych lokalizacji. Do wyboru lokalizacji, które musi odwiedzić magazynier w procesie kompletacji, zostaną wykorzystane metody taksonomiczne. Każda lokalizacja zostanie opisana za pomocą kilku cech, a następnie jej atrakcyjność z punktu widzenia danego zamówienia zostanie określona za pomocą Taksonomicznej Miary Atrakcyjności Lokalizacji (TMAL).
    There are two types of storage in warehouse – dedicated and shared. In dedicated storage each product is assigned to one location and vice versa. More effective in terms of space utilisation, more effective is shared storage. In such case each product can theoretically be assignet to any numer of locations and vice versa. In the proces of order--picking, one product can be picked from several different locations. Locations that must be visited by the warehouse worker in the proces of order-picking will be selected by means of taxonomic methods. Every location will be described by means of several diagnostic variables, and its attractiveness will be determined by means of Taxonomic Measure of Location’s Attractiveness (Polish abbreviation – TMAL).

Umiejętne wykorzystanie technik eksploracji procesów może stanowić o takiej przewadze.
    The main aim of this article is to present the potential and possibilities of using process mining techniques in order to recommend and improve business processes realized in enterprises. Process mining methods allow for the analysis of business processes based on event logs to overcome the gap between the traditional approach to process modeling and their real life execution. On the booming enterprise market the ability to quickly analyze and constantly improve processes is a starting point for gaining advantages over competitors. Thus, process mining techniques may bring additional value to every business.

    Opis:
    W ostatnich latach firmy coraz częściej dostrzegają optymalizację jako szansę na redukcję kosztów. W wielu przedsiębiorstwach powstają specjalne działy, które zajmują się optymalizacją procesów. Jednym z wielu skutecznych narzędzi używanych do optymalizacji procesów mogą być symulacje komputerowe. Symulacje komputerowe polegają na odtworzeniu rzeczywistych warunków panujących w przedsiębiorstwie lub zaprojektowaniu nowego procesu w programie symulacyjnym. Symulacje pozwalają na nieinwazyjne sprawdzenie możliwych rozwiązań oraz wybranie najlepszego z nich. W artykule przedstawiono dwa przykłady zastosowania symulacji komputerowych z wykorzystaniem oprogramowania FlexSim w rozwiązywaniu realnych problemów przedsiębiorstw. Pierwszy projekt realizowany był w firmie Beiersdorf Manufacturing Poznań Sp. z o.o. Projekt dotyczył przebudowany jednego z magazynów. Utworzony model przedstawił aktualną sytuację oraz pozwolił na stworzenie alternatywnych rozwiązań, a następnie wybranie najlepszego rozwiązania dla firmy. Drugi projekt miał za zadanie sprawdzić, czy wąskie gardła procesu dostaw części do produkcji spowodują opóźnienia w dostawach. Podobnie jak w pierwszym przykładzie, odwzorowano najpierw rzeczywisty proces. Po dokładnym odwzorowaniu procesu wykonano kilka symulacji, które wskazały przedziały spóźnień pociągów.
    During recent years companies have had to deal with growing customers requirements according to efficiency of their enterprises. Those requirements lead to reducing losses and costs across the process and changes in management philosophy. All the changes are implemented to gain competitive advantage and to keep sales at the same, or even higher, level. Each company aims at being profitable. This is the reason why companies are trying to increase their performance. To reach this goal, firms use different tools, which are helpful in process optimization. One kind of such tools is computer simulation, a very efficient software according to studying existing processes or developing new ones. Simulation software allows testing possible solutions of problems and choosing the best one. In this paper, two examples of application of the FlexSim simulation software, are shown. The first project, created on the base of the Beiersdorf Manufacturing Poznań Sp. z o.o., pertained to warehouse alteration. Built model allowed to analyse precisely actual situation and let designers to find the best alternative. The aim of the second project was to find bottlenecks of the process and check if there are leading to major deliveries shortages in assembly hall. In this case, whole process was built and different simulations helped finding the answers of above questions.

    The article points to the need of improving warehouse operations, which are ineffective in many enterprises across Russia. The list of all the necessary measures is compiled on the basis of logistical approach, the development and implementation of which will help to solve system problems and to eliminate "bottlenecks" for one of the directions of an algorithm for sequences of action, allowing rational planning work management.
    Artykuł wskazuje potrzebę doskonalenia operacji magazynowych, które są wykonywane nieefektywnie w wielu przedsiębiorstwach w Rosji. Zetawienie niezbędnych działań zostało zebrane na podstawie podejścia logistycznego, którego wdrożenie przyczyni się do rozwiązania problemów systemowych oraz wyeliminowania wąskich gardeł. Dla jednego z kierunków wypracowano algorytm sekwencji działań, umożliwiający racjonalne zarządzanie pracami planistycznymi.

    Celem artykułu jest prezentacja wyników prac rozwojowych dotyczących systemu DataConnect z zastosowaniem mechanizmu komunikacji Universal Data Exchange Interface dla modelu wymiany informacji pomiędzy systemem ExpertWMS®, a systemami zewnętrznymi ERP. Prace rozwojowe były ostatnim etapem badań nad stworzeniem odpornego na zaburzenia elektromagnetyczne prototypu systemu punktów pomiarowych przy gniazdach produkcyjnych opartego o technologię selektywnej bramki RFID. W artykule zaprezentowano zarówno teoretyczne jak i praktyczne podejście do problematyki wymiany danych i komunikacji w przedsiębiorstwach przemysłowych, które w zarządzaniu wykorzystują złożone systemy informatyczne wspomagające procesy produkcyjne, logistyczne i biznesowe.
    The aim of this article is to present the results of development work on DataConnect system using the Universal Data Exchange Interface (UDEI) for the information exchange model between ExpertWMS® and external ERP systems. The development work was the final step of research conducted to the resistant on electromagnetic disturbances system based on the selective RFID gate technology. The article presents both a theoretical and practical approach to data exchange and communication in industrial enterprises using complex IT systems to support production, logistics and business processes.

    Jakość pracy łańcucha dostaw jest wynikiem jakości pracy jego elementów, w tym magazynów. W artykule przedstawiono próbę ujęcia zagadnień jakościowych pracy magazynu w kategoriach niezawodnościowych. Omówiono zagadnienia oceny pracy magazynów, źródła problemów jakościowych i stosowane rozwiązania zwiększające jakość pracy. Wskazano nadmiarowość techniczną i organizacyjną jako podstawowy środek zwiększania niezawodności realizacji zadań przez magazyny w łańcuchu dostaw i tym samym poprawę jakości świadczonych usług. Autorzy omówili zagadnienia niezawodności łańcucha dostaw i magazynów jako ich podstawowych elementów i zaproponowali podejście do określania niezawodności magazynu oparte o nadmiarowość technologiczną i organizacyjną ustalaną w oparciu o przewidywane spiętrzenia przepływu materiałów. Do tego celu wykorzystano miernik OTIFEF jako podstawę szacowania niezawodności. Zaproponowano konstrukcję tego miernika w oparciu o prawdopodobieństwa poprawnej realizacji różnych aspektów usług logistycznych. Ważnym elementem podejścia proponowanego w artykule jest propozycja technicznych i organizacyjnych wskaźników określających różne aspekty nadmiarowości w funkcji niezawodności magazynu. Przedstawiono przykład szacowania nadmiarowości z wykorzystaniem technicznych i organizacyjnych metod zwiększania efektywności.
    The quality of supply chain operation depends on quality of its particular elements, including warehouses. The paper presents an attempt to describe the quality of warehouse operation in terms of dependability. Authors discussed issues related to assessing warehouse operation, quality problems and solutions to increase the quality of work. The technical and organizational redundancy was proposed as a primary factor increasing dependability of warehous operation in supply chain and thereby improving the quality of services. Authors discussed dependability of supply chain and warehouses and have proposed an approach to determination of dependability of warehouse facility based on technological and organisational redundancy related to material flow pile-ups. The approach was founded on OTIFEF index as a base for dependability estimation. Construction of that index basing on probabilities of correct realization of different aspects of logistics service was proposed. An important element of the approach presented in the paper is proposal of technical and organisational indicators defining different aspects of redundancy in aspect of dependability. The example of redundancy assessment in function of technical and organisational methods of increasing warehouse efficiency has been provided.
