One of the most important periods in the development of child is the pre-school age. Therefore the author of this article deals specially with this period. At first the general characterization of this period is given. Next takes the author into the consideration the physical development of the child in the pre-school period. After that the psychic development is discussed. In the psychic development he describes the intellectual, volitive and emotional one. The next part of the article considers the social development in the pre-school period. Then is the moral and religious development in this age discussed. In the final part of the article is the education of the child in the pres-school period considered.

Opis:
In this article, I discuss various issues related to the region and regional education, and their manifestation in the core curriculum of primary schools. To that end I have compared two core curricula (from 2002 and 2008) that were implemented in public schools but not applied at all levels of general education. First, I explain the meaning of three terms: region, regionalism, and regional education. Then I turn to the manifestation of regional issues in both curricula. Upon comparison, I found that the curriculum from 2008 does not advance the concept of little homeland but relies on the ideas promulgated in the 2002 curriculum. As the state regulations from 2008 granted teachers more freedom to choose from different topics, the main changes in advancing regional issues have been seen in the in the first, third, and fourth stage of education. The second stage of education, however, has remained largely unchanged with almost no discussion of regional issues.

Teaching for wisdom (especially at the early educational stages) requires personal competence by the teacher, interesting teaching aids and modern, motivational techniques that stimulate and develop the child’s potential abilities and competences related to general and practical intelligence and creativity. In early education, of particular importance is the type of children’s/students’ activity that leads to the direct experiencing of the surrounding cultural, natural, technical and social reality. Such activity is undertaken by individuals through internal emotional involvement, which leads to the experience of values in an in-depth way, supporting development and gaining all kinds of practical experience, which in turn fosters maturity towards wisdom. The environment where Teaching for wisdom should be deliberately organized is school (preschool). Factual knowledge and the methodological competences of teachers can support the organization of educational situations that allow children/students to experience values and wisdom, develop their potential cognitive abilities, gain experience in the interpretation and evaluation of wise/unwise behaviour, and develop the habits of wise behaviour. These situations should be a source of getting students ready to use wisdom in life and to shape their value systems. The proposal of a detailed competence scope for the notion of wisdom is presented in the this article.

The present paper describes the educational possibilities of art activities in preschool education which correspond to the contemporary priorities of preschool instruction. It presents the goals and aims of some action research which was conducted in kindergartens. Through non-traditional art activity, the educational opportunities were examined, focusing on an analysis of their procedures; reflections on individual activities being carried out. The research results were designed to help bring about real changes in kindergartens, to document the contribution of art creation and to provide arguments for personality-oriented education in preschool instruction.

Getting to know favourite fairy tales of animated pre-school children is aimed at an article and the spectrum of values carried by the main characters of these fairy tales in the light of own empirical examinations. Analysing the issue of favourite heroes of fairy tales animated in the life of the child they pointed out that undoubtedly television was providing with models, of models of the behaviour. Children willingly are watching fairy tales and have a big knowledge about favourite one's heroes. Sometimes details are presenting even small change from remembered stretches, are describing appearing there figures, mainly based on what they are doing. A fact that all examined children have their favourite fairy-tale form seems material and are able to justify why like her. Describing one's hero are keeping an eye on outside features and keeping it and acting peculiarly. Making an appraisal of one's hero good and evils are using moral categories, however not always this evaluation is correct. Favourites of fairy tales have defects admittedly - are fighting from other, but it isn't projecting the child rapidly onto their overall picture - still are liked. Children are choosing pretty and simultaneously, in their view, of good heroes. The majority from them is declaring that they want to be so, as their favourite heroes from fairy tales.
Artykuł ma na celu poznanie ulubionych animowanych bajek dzieci w wieku przedszkolnym oraz spektrum wartości niesionych przez głównych bohaterów tych bajek w świetle własnych badań empirycznych. Analizując zagadnienie ulubionych bohaterów bajek animowanych w życiu dziecka, zwrócono uwagę, że niewątpliwie telewizja dostarcza modeli, wzorów zachowania. Dzieci chętnie oglądają bajki i mają dużą wiedzę o swoich ulubionych bohaterach. Prezentują niekiedy nawet drobne szczegóły z zapamiętanych odcinków, opisują występujące tam postacie, głównie na podstawie tego, co robią. Istotny wydaje się fakt, że wszystkie badane dzieci mają swoją ulubioną postać bajkową i potrafią uzasadnić, dlaczego ją lubią. Opisując swojego bohatera, zwracają uwagę szczególnie na cechy zewnętrzne oraz jego zachowanie i postępowanie. Dokonując oceny swojego bohatera, posługują się kategoriami moralnymi dobra i zła, jednakże nie zawsze ta ocena jest prawidłowa. Ulubieńcy bajek mają wprawdzie wady – walczą z innymi, ale nie rzutuje to na ich całościowy obraz w oczach dziecka – nadal są lubiani. Dzieci wybierają ładnych i jednocześnie, ich zdaniem, dobrych bohaterów. Większość z nich deklaruje, że chcą być tacy, jak ich ulubieni bohaterowie z bajek.

Background. It is necessary to ensure a variety of nutrients in weekly menus in kindergartens according to the recommendations and standards currently in effect. It is also important to follow the energy value of macronutrients, which is usually carried out by the relevant institutions quarterly in every kindergarten. However, the quality of menus in relation to the representation of different types of food is not monitored. Objective. The aim of this study was to estimate the quality of meals in relation to the representation of different types of food in state and privately owned kindergartens in one of Zagreb district in Croatia. Material and Methods. Weekly menu’s daily meals served in kindergarten groups for children (4 - 6 years old) were analysed and compared with the Croatian Health Care, Hygiene and Balanced Diet Programme for Children in Kindergartens and with Food Plan Standards for Children in Kindergartens - Menus and Standards. The studies were performed in state and privately owned kindergartens in Zagreb, district Maksimir. Results. Except in the serving of dairy products, which were in comparison to the proscribed standard overrepresented, other foods such as grains, fruits, vegetables, meat, eggs, pulse were underrepresented. Grains, except in a smaller number of servings, were statistically underrepresented in state owned kindergartens in comparison to the privately owned ones. The largest discrepancy was shown in the low number of fish servings, equally so in the state and privately owned kindergartens. Conclusions. In recent years strides have been made to harmonise menus provided by kindergartens with standards based on scientific research on the prevention of obesity. However, further harmonisation of “old” and “new” foods intended to achieve a more substantial balance of the consumption of certain foods and the adequate amounts of their nutritional values is necessary.
