The article Stefan Grabiński’s Fantasies of the Futureaims to demonstrate the complexity of the futuristic vision of the writer. Thoughts of the author of Dziwna stacja based on profound philosophical and religious foundations, are an aftermath of the most importantconsiderations and trends of the modernist era. On the one hand the influence of Henry Bergson’s philosophy, through which the writer saw the world as a dynamic process, “a continued gush of novelty” and remaining in line with this vision the elements of Eastern philosophy – the phenomena of metempsychosis and “wandering souls”, and on the other hand – personal, effectively blocked by Grabiński’s disease, desires to overcome the limits of space, of asense of freedom and unlimited freedom, clearly intermingle with each other in the analyzed works by Grabiński. The writer constructs his “fantasies of the future” in a manner characteristic of his writings – as unfinished, indeterminate and opening a space for the readers activity.

Caricature is one of the forms of artistic expression and it has a similar role to satire. Consequently, some people consider caricature to be one of the forms of satire. Caricature has its origins in ancient times. The history of caricature is illustrated by political changes that civilization experienced. The administrative authorities attempted to fight caricature in numerous countries and France was one of them. This process is a part of the history of censorship that began in Roman times. Afterwards, it developed further during the Christian period of the Middle Ages until the 19th century. Unfortunately, this procedure is present in certain areas even today. The most interesting solutions were the ones adoptedin France. Moreover, it is worth noting that the phenomenon of institutionalization of censorship was not the only characteristic element in France. There were also censorship bodies present in the country despite the formal constitutional declarations of freedom of speech.

Opis:
Two-dimensional Finite Element analysis and parameterized model of Permanent Magnet Vernier Motor is presented in this paper. The model allows to obtain magnetic flux distribution in the core and air gap and calculate electromagnetic torque. Influence of geometrical parameters and material properties on produced torque could be researched by means of presented model.

Opis:
A very interesting construction of disc-type machines are coreless machines. Because there is no core in the stator this type of axial flux machines doesn't have a cogging torque, iron losses or eddy current. Axial flux machines are construction, which requires to make a 3D model. Presented in this paper are 3D field models of coreless axial flux machines, which map a prototype of the machine made. Demonstrated are methods of modeling particular elements and parameters of machines.

Norwid has a special position in the history of Polish Personalism. He might be called a precursor in this area, even though some Polish Romantic poets and philosophers also expressed ideas which were later used to construct a personalist approach in the 20-the century. However, of all of them, Norwid was undoubtedly the most consistent and diligent thinker. Putting together Norwid’s vision of Man with the visions of the French personalists of the first half of the twentieth century shows striking similarities existing between them. It is the ontological and epistemological grounding of these philosophies which is common: moving beyond cogito and the conviction about the necessity of metaphysics, negation of the contradiction between faith and reason, the approach of philosophandum in fide, Pavlov’s concept of truth, grounding in Thomistic philosophy, non-systemic approach and dialogic search for truth in the manner of Socrates, as well as suspicious attitude towards idealism, etc. This parallelism is, however, best seen in the particular anthropological issues. The key joint position is the appreciation of the phenomenon of a human being, enlightened by the mystery of the Incarnation, acceptance of Thomisitic hylomorphism and giving full consideration to the whole reality of a person (spirituality and corporality); questioning of spiritualist and naturalist monism. In other words, the search for the integral man. Another important common point is the issue of a person’s freedom, understood as her/his ability of auto-determination, selfdirection and self-improvement, constant transcendence of human ‘nature’ in the direction of the nature altered in the manner of Christ. Mournier’s approach to inter-personal communication (dialogue) was also very close to Norwid, they also agreed on such problems connected with this type of communication as its deformations, perversions, social conventions, the interplay of illusions and masks. Norwid and the French personalists had also similar views on such issues as the pilgrimage aspect of manhood, visions of history and creative time in which the Kingdom of God is ripening, critique of the bourgeois civilization of money, etc. . Norwid’s anthropology and the personalism of Mournier and Maritain are penetrated by the same atmosphere of tragic optimism, the climate of heroism and struggle. This comparison allows to state that the history of thinking about Man in the first half of the twentieth century went (of course, in the context of the Christian philosophy) the way in which Norwid ‘designed’ and predicted it, the way he considered to be future-oriented

This article contains an analysis of a specific group of names in Polish anthroponomy, namely names of nuns from the Catholic Religious Order of Carmelite Sisters of St. Therese of the Infant Jesus. Name in this order consists of a proper name and the so-called predicate (for instance “sister Gabriel from Jesus”). Predicate is a sort of a sign or emblem, which is a peculiar symbol of piety. This article includes the presentation and analysis of proper names as well as predicates. Proper names are classified as follows: biblical names, names created from names of saints of the Catholic Church, names created from Latin appellatives, and other. However, predicates were classified with respect to the essence, into several thematic groups: related to the person of Christ, related to Virgin Mary, related to saints of the Catholic Church, related to symbols, related to dogmas, related to Divine attributes, and dual predicates. The last part of the article presents the specificity of monastic names against the background of secular names

Przekonania o tysiącletniej walce żywiołu germańskiego ze słowiańskim głosiło też wielu historyków niemieckich, aż do II wojny światowej włącznie.
