ways of thinking about the Other

Opis:
Space of meeting with the Other, the space of interaction is also space a build identity. Thanks for the presence of the Other, it creates the identity both individual and group (J. Tischner, 1978, 2012). The Other is therefore an important fi gure in the development of another human being. So what do the other people think about the Other? How do you determine the Other? What are the trends in thinking about the Other? How do perceived the Other by future educators? This is an important question. So I decided to ask about questions my students, future teachers. Hence, the purpose of this article is to present ways of thinking about the Other, different perspectives seeing the Other by students Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa. This objective implies some goals: stimulating interest in problems of the Other, the idea of the tendencies of thinking about the Other, stimulating reflection on the significance of the Other for the development of a specific person, but also for the development of society, to realize their own perception of the Other.
Przestrzeń spotkania z Innym, przestrzeń interakcji jest jednocześnie przestrzenią budowania tożsamości. To dzięki obecności Innego tworzy się tożsamość, zarówno w wymiarze indywidualnym, jak i grupowym (J. Tischner, 1978, 2012). Inny jest więc ważną postacią w rozwoju drugiego człowieka. Co zatem o Innym myślą inni ludzie? Jak go określają? Jakie są tendencje w myśleniu o Innym? Jak Innego postrzegają przyszli pedagodzy? To ważne pytania. Dlatego postanowiłam o powyższe kwestie zapytać moich studentów, przyszłych pedagogów. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zaprezentowanie sposobów myślenia o Innym, zaprezentowanie różnych perspektyw widzenia Innego przez studentów Akademii im. Jana Długosza w Częstochowie. Cel ten implikuje kolejne cele (dydaktyczne): wzbudzenie zainteresowania problematyką Innego, zorientowanie w tendencjach myślenia o Innym, wzbudzenie refl eksji na temat znaczenia Innego dla rozwoju konkretnej osoby, ale i dla rozwoju społeczeństwa, uświadomienie własnego postrzegania Innego.

Śmierć człowieka jest wyzwaniem zarówno dla analiz filozoficznych, jak i nauki oraz praktyki medycyny ze względu na napięcie między diagnozą śmierci organizmu jako całości a stwierdzeniem zgonu osoby. W artykule podejmuję próbę przyjrzenia się głównym kontrowersjom, a także uzgodnieniom natury ontologicznej i epistemologiczno-medycznej, składającym się na ewolucję definicji śmierci mózgowej.
Human death is challenging from both philosophical and medical points of view, because of an apparent ontological discrepancy between the diagnosis of death of the organism as a whole and the declaration of death of a human person. In my paper I make an attempt to analyze the main controversies as well as agreements concerning ontological and medico-epistemological problems that have created the evolution of the definition of brain death, arguing that: 1. It is impossible to define death; 2. What functions as the definition of death is rather a set of criteria of death than a definition in a proper sense; 3. The debate concerning so-called definition of death refers not to death as such, universally conceptualized, but to a specific problem of death of a human being; 4. Analyzing the problem of human death it is impossible to make a clear distinction between biological and philosophical dimensions.

To aim for the unspeakable divine, nothing beats the via pulchritudinis musicalis, the path of beauty advocated by Christian tradition, from Augustine to Luther and the recent popes, which contains parables to make the “unheard of” of the Spirit heard and to reconcile the disagreements between humans. The article deploys twelve metaphors of musical spirituality, as so many different sounds available to seekers of meaning, singers and musicians of the infinite, playing on the numbers: the sound of silence; the three-tone Trinitarian chord; the seven notes of the divine scale; humanity and the believing community as a four-part choir; the five lines of the staff of existence; the righteousness (justice) of the six strings of the guitar; the transcendence of the Christ melody; the stereophony between heaven and earth; the novelty of the final biblical Maranatha; the two hands and ten fingers of the pianist; song and music for the spiritual journey and liturgy; the 144,000 voices of the hymns of Revelation. For nothing reaches the heart of God beyond words like perfect harmony when the final chord is sounded.

Among the proposals for the implementation of the motu proprio Spiritus Domini and Antiquum Ministerium of Pope Francis (2021), opening the instituted ministries also to women and to lay people not on the way to ordination, the Note of the Italian Bishops’ Conference of June 2022, is certainly one of the most relevant with respect to the discernment, formation and conditions of access of candidates. By receiving a sacramental from the bishop in a community liturgy, for a perennial ministry at the service of the Word of God, the care of the body of Christ in the Eucharist and in the sick, as well as for Christian initiation and small base communities, the instituted ministers can contribute to the synodal revitalization of the ecclesial communion. Decreed ad experimentum for three years, the Italian document can inspire other Bishops’ Conferences around the world.

On of the results of demographic changes is, on the one hand – an increasing number of seniors needing care and, on the other hand – a decreasing number of their potential informal carers. Poland, in the matter of senior care, is still a conservative country, where a family is the main institution of care, and where it is also a cultural norm and a moral duty to care about senior family members. However, a family carer may not manage to deal with the number of roles he or she should perform, especially when they are and wish to remain professionally active. The current article is a review of the issue of family care. Firstly, it shows the problems faced by informal carers when undertaking the new role. Secondly, it shows that not self-sufficient seniors in the so-called phase old-old age do not need to stay at home and therefore be socially excluded. They can also remain active.

Opis:
Ensuring care and appropriate standard of living to elderly people constitute highly significant aspects of both the state and local social policy. However, the practice shows clearly that the issue of old age has never been a strength of the social policy in our country. One could even get the impression that in old age quality of life does not need to be increased, while it can even be decreased. Such approach to the issue of old age should be highly objectionable. Old age, as the last stage of one’s life, should be lived in dignity, while maintaining the sense of security. Special care and attention should be paid to single people, chronic patients and those with poor financial situation. An appropriately managed nursing home is a place that could protect a senior citizen from social exclusion, while providing professional care and good quality of life. The issue is of high significance as in Poland the public nursing services have not been yet developed well and their quality often remains a matter of concern, also in the moral aspect. This paper enters the discourse about the need of institutional support for the senior citizens and points out to the quality of life of residents of nursing homes.

This article focuses on the challenges faced by single-parent foster families. The scope of problems includes theoretical issues concerning such notions as family and incomplete family. The function of foster family in the light of the Act of 9 June 2011 on family support and foster care system was also presented. The article presents the results of research conducted by the author within the framework of her Bachelor’s thesis. Methodological assumptions of the research were also described and their results were presented on the basis of which conclusions and recommendations were formulated concerning the improvement of the support and health care system as well as the change of attitude in the perception of foster families run by single people.

Pracodawca zatrudniający pracowników ma obowiązek przestrzegania przepisów o ochronie danych osobowych mających zastosowanie zarówno podczas procesu rekrutacji, jaki już po zatrudnieniu pracownika Wynikają one m.in. z Konstytucji RP kodeksu pracy oraz kodeksu cywilnego Wykładnia systemowa art. 51 Konstytucji, art. 221 kodeksu pracy i art. 23 i 415 kodeksu cywilnego wskazuje, iż kandydat nie ma obowiązku ujawnienia wszystkich danych osobowych żądanych przez pracodawcę podczas procesu rekrutacji, a jedynie w nich wymienionych. Z kolei od już zatrudnionego pracownika pracodawca ma prawo żądać wspomnianych danych osobowych oraz dodatkowo szerszego katalogu innych danych (numer PESEL dane dotyczące dzieci pracownika, jeżeli podanie ich jest konieczne ze względu na korzystanie przez pracownika ze szczególnych uprawnień oraz innych danych osobowych, jeżeli obowiązek ich podania wynika z odrębnych przepisów). Pracodawca domagając się udzielenia danych osobowych ma zawsze obowiązek przestrzegania zakazu dyskryminacji, a jeśli ma zamiar przetwarzać dane osobowe. ma do tego prawo dopiero po dobrowolnym wyrażeniu zgody przez pracownika. Niezachowanie należytej staranności w tym zakresie grozi odpowiedzialnością nie tylko cywilną, ale i karną.
An employer who employs workers is obliged to comply with the provisions on the protection of personal data, which obliges compliance with all provisions applicable to both the recruitment process and after an employee has been employed. They are included in Constitution, the Labour Code and the Civil Code . Systematic interpretation of Article 51 of the Constitution. Article 221 of the Labour Code and Articles 23, 415 of the Civil Code indicate that the candidate is not required to disclose all personal information requested by the employer during the recruitment process, but only the data listed in it. In the case of an employee, the employer has the right to demand the above-mentioned personal data and, additionally, a wider range of other data (the employee’s PESEL, information on the employee's children, if this is necessary due to the employee's specific rights, and other personal data if the obligation to provide them results from separate regulations). When asking for personal data, the employer is always obliged to comply with the prohibition of discrimination, and if the employer intends to process personal data, this is possible only after the employee has expressed voluntary consent. Failure of diligence in this regard carries both civil and criminal liability.

Artykuł stanowi próbę spojrzenia na zjawisko starości w perspektywie mariologii. Opierając się na tekstach Pisma Świętego, ojców Kościoła, świętych, a także współczesnych teologów, ukazuje szczególną relację Maryi wobec osób starszych. Matka Boża pomaga tym osobom zbliżyć się do Chrystusa i odkryć w Nim sens swojego życia. Wspiera w oczyszczeniu uczuć, w przezwyciężeniu postawy ciągłego niezadowolenia. Umacnia w sytuacji pokus, cierpień i lęków. Umożliwia nawrócenie tym, którzy – wydawało się – ostatecznie odeszli przed laty od Boga. Niekiedy uzdalnia do podejmowania nowych wyzwań. Jest obecna przy człowieku, który przeżywa czas próby i ciemności, jakim jest umieranie. Starszy człowiek może odnaleźć w Maryi oparcie i głęboki pokój.
The article is an attempt to look at the phenomenon of old age in the perspective of Mariology. Based on the texts of the Holy Scriptures, church fathers, saints and contemporary theologians, he shows Mary’s special relationship with the elderly. The Mother of God helps these people get closer to Christ and discover the meaning of her life in Him. It helps in cleansing feelings, overcoming the attitude of constant dissatisfaction. It strengthens in a situation of temptation, suffering and fear. It enables conversion for those who seemed to have finally left God years ago. Sometimes it enables you to take on new challenges. It is present with a man who is going through the time of trial and darkness, which is dying. An elderly man can find support and deep peace in Mary.

In translation the title of this article would be: “The story of Olaf Malm: About a person of destiny in Vilhelm Bergsøes’s novel Fra Piazza del Populo”. The novel was published in 1867, and in many editions it is subtitled: “a cycle of short stories”. But this article is meant to show the reader that one of the stories, told by a character called “The old artist”, in itself can be read as a completed work of literature. The story of a young, Norwegian sculptor is meticulously composed, weaving a tissue of entangled threads of destiny. All his works are demolished, yet the protagonist finally appears as a creator of divine art. This is also an accomplishment both of the narrator: the old artist, and Bergsøe himself.

Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia refleksję nad twórczością, rozumianą jako zadanie osoby. Główny problem badawczy zawiera się w pytaniu: w czym wyraża się twórczość jako zadanie osoby? W pierwszej części artykułu został zaprezentowany przegląd perspektyw rozumienia twórczości, które są przedstawione w literaturze. W części drugiej przeprowadzono analizę jakościową swobodnych wypowiedzi nauczycieli. Podjęte analizy umożliwiły sformułowanie odpowiedzi na postawiony problem badawczy.
The article below presents a reflection on creativity, understood as a person’s task. The main research problem is contained in the question: what is creativity expressed as a task of a person. The first part of the article reviews the perspectives of understanding creativity that are presented in the literature. In the second part, a qualitative analysis of teachers’ free speech was carried out. The undertaken analyzes made it possible to formulate a response to the research problem posed.
