Opis:
The aim of the article is to describe and explain the meaning of the Polish construction czyjaś osoba ‘the person of some person; persona’. The basis of investigations is the material culled out from the Polish corpora database (NKJP) and Polish historical and contemporary dictionaries. In the syntactic, as well as semantic analyses of the unit in question (esp. its syntactic function and collocations with predicates) the author reaches to a conclusion that: 1) the expression czyjaś osoba is semantic entity; 2) this unit can’t function as an agent in a sentence (persona/the person of some person isn’t someone or something); 3) the language unit czyjaś osoba isn’t equivalent of the notion of person.

In light of this, Razinsky wishes to analyze the existence of this phenomenon in the context of considering it as a basically rational character of mental attitudes. Of the claim is that rethinking ambivalence in the manner provided in this book will shed new light on the problems of personhood, rationality, and their relations.

Animalizm i osoba jako kategoria podstawowa . Przedmiotem artykułu jest analiza animalizmu. Autor opowiada się za animalizmem, uznając jego słuszność co do tego, że: (i) bycie pewnego rodzaju zwierzęciem S jest podstawowym pojęciem gatunkowym różnicującym substancję (zwierzę gatunku Homo Sapiens), (ii) animalizm ma słuszność twierdząc, że osoby, takie jak my, są z konieczności, istotami ludzkimi, (iii) pozostanie tym samym zwierzęciem jest koniecznym warunkiem dla naszej tożsamości w czasie. Podważając stanowisko animalizmu, autor przekonuje, że przyjęcie powyższych tez nie pociąga wcale przekonania, że osobę należy rozumieć jako przejściowe pojęcie gatunkowe. Według autora animalizm opiera się na pierwotnym pojęciu osoby i zakłada, iż osobę należy pojmować jako podstawowe substancjalne pojęcie gatunkowe, dzięki któremu możemy odróżniać siebie od innych. Następnie autor przekonuje, że przedstawione tu wnioski wraz z tezami animalizmu skłaniają do przyjęcia, że osoby, z konieczności, są istotami o biologicznej naturze.

The possibility of utilisation of an individually adjusted personal motorcar is one of important preconditions to undertake professional activities by persons with a considerable locomotive disability. This refers, in particular, to persons who move with the assistance of wheel chairs. Typical, serially manufactured personal motorcars are adapted to the requirements resulting from a disability. The original construction of such cars usually does not take into consideration specific needs of disabled persons. The objective of this study was to elaborate a list of specific car design requirements for a driver with a locomotive disability. The object of the performed analyses was the process of car driving (problems associated with independent loading and unloading of a foldable wheelchair were omitted). Furthermore, the authors did not study ergonomic issues associated with the maladjustment of individual devices adapting the car. The analysed data were obtained following interviews based on questionnaires submitted by disabled users of personal cars. All respondents moved about with the aid of wheelchairs and their disability was the result of injuries of the spinal cord (paraplegia and tetraplegia). The result of the investigations is a catalogue of specific ergonomic requirements regarding the operating space of the personal car driver.

Opis:
With a view to determining the dynamics and possible trauma sustained by a disabled person in a wheelchair in the passenger compartment of a bus, a physical model has been developed. The system, as the time function, generalized in the coordinates X(t), (t), was described by second-order Lagrangian differential equations. The proposed mathematical model allows for determining the motion characteristics of disabled people in a wheelchair in a bus that can cause injuries. This paper presents the curves of the change in coordinates of the angular velocity of the head and its center of gravity, as well as the curve of the change in the angle between the femur and the wheelchaior seat, through mathematical modeling and an experiment.

Ciągle wzrastające zainteresowanie Kunegundą Siwiec (1876–1955), świecką karmelitanką objętą procesem kanonicznym zmierzającym do wyniesienia jej na ołtarze, postuluje poznanie jej osoby i przesłania. Ta prosta wiejska, niepiśmienna kobieta, zaangażowana w życie modlitwy i apostolstwo, zatroskana o autentyczne życie religijne w rodzinach, była odbiorczynią Nadprzyrodzonych oświeceń, tj. rozmów wewnętrznych z Chrystusem, Jego Matką i niektórymi świętymi, jakie spisał jej spowiednik, ks. Bronisław Bartkowski. Nie chełpiąc się tymi duchowymi doświadczeniami, ale żyjąc cnotliwie, doświadczyła długoletniej obłożnej i bolesnej choroby, stając się przykładem pogodnego znoszenia cierpienia, przeżywanego w duchu paschalnym i ofiarowanego za zbawienie bliźnich.
Constantly growing interest of Kunegunda Siwiec (1876–1955), a secular Carmelite, being under the canonical process, aiming to elevate her to the altars, postulates to know her and her messages. This simple rural, illiterate woman, engaged in the life of prayer and apostolate, concerned about the authentic religious life in the families, was the recipient of the Supernatural Enlightenment, e.g. internal conversations with Christ, His Mother and some Saints, was written down by her confessor, Fr. Bronisław Bartkowski. She did not boast about these spiritual experiences, but lived virtuous life experiencing a bedridden long–time painful disease, becoming an example of the cheerfully enduring suffering and lived in the Paschal Spirit sacrificing herself for the salvation of others.

Times we live in make us question what is going to happen with the world after the pandemic. The struggle against COVID-19 and changes produced will have impact on the mind of many people. Some lose their relatives, who they cannot bury. Others live in a constant state of fear about their health and future living. The world will never be the same. People will never be as they were before this traumatic event. The invisible enemy – coronavirus – will leave a lasting mark on their memory. Many will need support which can be provided by specialist counselling. Many will struggle with a trauma, which will make the return to “normality” impossible for a long time. A traumatic experience is a psychological trauma suffered by a person and caused by a strong, sudden stimulus. This stimulus is intensive enough to cause changes in the areas of soma, psyche and polis, and it also directly threatens health or life of a person. People after a traumatic experience require a complex assistance to return to their normal functioning. Currently, this stimulus is a deadly virus. The article presents the role of the specialist counselling in the area of social work with a person and their family after a traumatic experience.
