    Opis:
    Today's market determinants and most importantly, very dynamically changing customer requirements significantly shortened the product life cycle. This situation reflects in companies by common extension of the assortment offered and personalised serial production. The result of a flexible approach to market changes is the implementation of LEAN concept, which, both in terms of management and production aims to develop efficiency within an organisation, which will then enable quick and dynamic response to changes in the environment. The popularity of LEAN concept (in management and production) among managers comes from its universality and a wide range of instruments used to maximise the use of existing potential. The main assumptions of LEAN concept are aimed at the maximum use of an organisation's resources, defining the activities necessary to execute an order and identifying the areas generating losses and then minimising them and eventually eliminating. LEAN concept is based on flagship-main tools for identification and modernisation of processes, the difficulty in using them results from the need to recognise and select the most effective ones that meet the expectations of a given organisation. The article presents issues related to the first stage of implementing LEAN concept in a company's structures, i.e. identification of opportunities and selection of appropriate tools.

    Running business activity in the field of transport requires managing people to coordinate many factors at the same time. The most important factor for the functioning of an enterprise is the planning of execution of transport orders, which is an inherent element of effective management of a fleet of vehicles. The management of logistics and transport is a field of science derived from economic practice, therefore, real events occurring in an enterprise providing transport services at the national and international level were examined. Research and analysis of transport processes were conducted in an enterprise from the TSL sector functioning in the European Union in the aspect of efficient use of a fleet of vehicles.

    This article addresses the issue of employees’ job satisfaction in terms of the intangible assets of an organisation and simultaneously indicates the role which both of those aspects play in implementing the production preparation process. Through the use of a systematic literature review method, it was possible to identify research studies devoted to the position of satisfaction in the concepts of intangible assets and intellectual capital, and the study results in terms of relations between various intangible assets, such as the company’s reputation or structural capital, and job satisfaction. The conclusions of this study are particularly important for production preparation. They indicate how important the reputation of the company and other intangible assets are for employees’ satisfaction and for retaining them in the company, which is crucial for the implementation of technologically advanced research and development.

    Communication continues to be an increasingly strategic and pervasive component in the processes of governance and management at all levels of a company. This evolution has been made evident by the importance that the communication function has acquired, or is acquiring, inside the organisational structure of companies. Furthermore, this evolution has been made evident by the growth of the role that communication, especially that of communication professionals, plays within the strategic decisional processes of the executive committee and administrative management of a company. Lastly, this evolution has been made evident by the omnipresence of communication within specific company functions especially with its most advanced and innovative forms and instruments. The aim of this article is to bring attention to the evolution of the role of communication at the levels of company administration and management, using the results of the most recent international and national empirical research as well as the considerations emerging from a lively on-going debate in international publications, most markedly within the disciplines of public relations, organisation and management. Finally, using the main results of case studies of four Italian successful companies.

    Whether we call them local production systems, clusters or industrial districts, all of these co-opetition arrangements can be considered stimuli in developing and implementing innovations as well as local and regional growth. The complexity of a tourist product and specific requirements connected with it make the particularly prone to the forming of clusters and cluster initiatives. In 2012 tourism industry ranked second in Poland with 27 cluster initiatives and a stable growth dynamics. Tourism is dominated by top-down initiatives, contrary to other industries, where bottom up arrangements prevail. Regional cluster initiatives may be built on regional tourist organisations. The Regional Tourist Organisation of the Lodz Voivodeship (RTO LV) was established, inter alia, to create the image of the voivodeship as an attractive tourist region, to promote tourism in the region and to improve the quality of a tourist product. Since networking of the regional economy is required, the organisation joins entities representing different industries, territorial self-government units, associations, foundations, etc. According to the Board of the RTO LV, the organisation has reached an optimum representation of various industries. The RTO LV also creates smaller clusters, which flexibly enhance its potential. Focus on networking makes the organisation closer to the network cluster idea of the OECD rather than to Porter’s co-opetition relationships. As formally, the RTO LV has not got the status of a cluster, it seems justified to use the term cluster initiative or quasi-cluster structure.

    The development of knowledge-based economies is dictated by the intensification of globalisation processes and the emergence of information societies characterised by the growing demand for knowledge and innovations. Effective execution of the knowledge and technology transfer processes is therefore the foundation of the contemporary knowledge-based economy because as a result of these processes novel technologies are brought to the market and the development of better products and services meeting the actual customer requirements is stimulated, and the national innovation performance and the level of competitiveness are improved. The author presents the issues connected with the organisation and management of knowledge and technology transfer from R&D organisations. The discussion is based on international case study analyses whose results helped to indicate the models and procedures commonly applied by these institutions to ensure an effective execution of the transfer process.
    Rozwój gospodarek opartych na wiedzy podyktowany jest intensyfikacją procesów globalizacyjnych i rozwojem społeczeństw informacyjnych, w których znacząco wzrasta zapotrzebowanie na wiedzę i innowacje. Skuteczna realizacja procesów transferu wiedzy i technologii stanowi zatem podwaliny współczesnej gospodarki opartej na wiedzy, gdyż w rezultacie tych procesów rynek zasilany jest innowacyjnymi rozwiązaniami technologicznymi, systemowymi i procesowymi stymulującymi rozwój lepszych produktów i usług odpowiadających faktycznemu zapotrzebowaniu konsumentów i jednocześnie odgrywa kluczową rolę w kreowaniu innowacyjności gospodarki i podnoszeniu poziomu jej konkurencyjności. W artykule omówiono zagadnienia organizacji i zarządzania procesem transferu wiedzy i technologii z jednostek naukowo-badawczych. Zaprezentowano wyniki przeprowadzonych międzynarodowych studiów przypadku, które pozwoliły na wyłonienie modeli i procedur powszechnie stosowanych w celu zapewnienia efektywnej realizacji tych procesów.

    Opis:
    Purpose: The purpose of the article is to make a general diagnosis of Poland's economic security in the context of globalization processes. Design/methodology/approach: This purpose is to be achieved by indicating the main threats and opportunities for Poland's security in the context of globalization. This diagnosis will be made using analysis methods of available scientific and substantive sources of information and using statistical tools, including descriptive statistics. Findings: The content of the article characterizes the category of economic security and describes the globalization process to finally combine these phenomena and relate them to the current situation in Poland. Social implications: The phenomenon of globalisation, which has expanded in the modern world, brings certain benefits as well as threats. Global economic integration can stimulate development, but also become a source of restrictions for national economies. It therefore affects the level of economic security. Originality/value: The article shows that when it comes to threats to Poland’s economic security, which depend on the globalisation process, they mainly refer to the unevenness of the importance of partners in economic relations, dependence on the supply of raw materials and energy from one partner and forcing restrictions on participation in international exchange. The results can be interesting for those seeking knowledge of the economic security of the state, including students studying fields related to security.

Pracownicy są odpowiedzialni za plan produkcji i rozwoju, usług i procesów. Seria norm ISO 9000 jest pomocna w celu ustalenia zarządzania jakością w organizacji. Korzystanie w zarządzaniu jakością ze statystycznej kontroli procesu jest również bardzo ważne dla firmy.     Gospodarka oparta na wiedzy stawia przed organizacjami wyzwania związane z efektywnym zarządzaniem wiedzą pracowników. Organizacje nie mogą sprawnie funkcjonować, jeżeli nie będą korzystać z zasobów wiedzy wszystkich swoich pracowników – także pracowników starszych – 65 plus. Celem rozważań jest ukazanie, jakie role mogą pełnić pracownicy starsi w procesach pozyskiwania, rozwoju, transferu i gromadzenia wiedzy. Przedstawiono także wyniki badań stanu i poziomu zarządzania wiedzą w wybranych przedsiębiorstwach produkcyjnych.
    The knowledge-based economy poses before organisations challenges related to an effective management of workers’ knowledge. Organisations cannot efficiently function if they do not use resources of knowledge of all their employees, also elderly workers, aged 65+. An aim of considerations is to show what roles may be played by elderly employees in the processes of acquisition, development, transfer, and accumulation of knowledge. There are also presented results of surveys on the state and level of knowledge management at the selected manufacturing enterprises.

    The use of remote communication tools is nowadays becoming a phenomenon which is more and more visible not only in companies, but also in other entities of the economy. The use of modern remote communication tools allows for increasing the functional efficiency of the entity and improving contact between members of the unit. The paper presents the actual ways in which modern remote communication tools are used both between the members of a student organisation and with other entities, the types of these tools and the characteristic nature of such an entity in the era of the coronavirus pandemic.
    Wykorzystywanie narzędzi komunikacji zdalnej w obecnych czasach staje się zjawiskiem coraz częściej zauważalnym nie tylko w firmach, ale także w innych podmiotach gospodarki. Użytkowanie nowoczesnych narzędzi komunikacji zdalnej pozwala na zwiększenie efektywności funkcjonalnej danego podmiotu oraz usprawnienie kontaktu pomiędzy członkami jednostki. W pracy zaprezentowano rzeczywiste sposoby wykorzystania nowoczesnych narzędzi komunikacji zdalnej zarówno pomiędzy członkami organizacji studenckiej, jak i z innymi podmiotami, rodzaje tych narzędzi oraz charakterystyczny dla tego rodzaju podmiotu charakter działania w dobie pandemii COVID-19.

Skupiono się na przybliżeniu rysu historycznego powstania w Polsce wojskowego systemu zapewnienia jakości oraz regulacjach prawnych normujących jego funkcjonowanie. Ponadto, scharakteryzowano przesłanki skłaniające do podjęcia w Polsce prac w dziedzinie reorganizacji struktur organizacyjnych oraz unormowań w przedmiotowej dziedzinie, a także zaprezentowano możliwe do realizacji kierunki organizacji i rozwoju systemu zapewnienia jakości w resorcie obrony narodowej.
    A short description of position and organisation of quality assurance system in the country and abroad is presented in the paper by stressing the questions of structure and the share of competencies in practical implementation of quality assurance idea. Foundation of a military quality assurance system with legal regulations governing its functionality in Poland is presented on the historical background. Moreover some premises are indicated for reshuffling the organisational structures and standards within the presented domain, and additionally possible organisational and development trends of quality assurance system in the national defence sector are described.

    Problem rozumienia procesów środowiskowych, uzależniony jest, nie tylko od rozwoju samych nauk przyrodniczych, ale również od ich współpracy na poziomie interdyscyplinarnym. Jest to często o tyle trudne w realizacji, że w większości przypadków nauki te charakteryzują się inne metodyki badań, stosowanym słownictwem specjalistycznym, co powoduje często ,,niekompatybilności" uzyskiwanych wyników badań. Ta ,,niekompatybilność", może się odnosić do zupełnie innej interpretacji tych samych zjawisk przyrodniczych. Brak ujednoliconego, a zarazem zdefiniowanego podejęcia do problematyki ochrony środowiska, można zaobserwować już na poziomie pojęć podstawowych. Najbardziej popularnym przykładem, takiej dowolności jest dość swobodne, często na zasadzie wymienności stosowanie takich pojęć, jak: ekologia oraz ochrona środowiska, czy ekosystem oraz biosfera. Pojęcia te, często są używane jako wygodne zamienniki. Autor w artykule stara się przybliżyć problematykę związaną z poziomami organizacji biologicznej, które powinny stanowić podstawę we wszystkich rozważaniach na temat holistycznego środowiska przyrodniczego. Opierając się na wiedzy zgromadzonej w ramach ekologii (wydzielonej z nauk biologicznych), należy szukać odpowiedniego poziomu odniesienia dla zrozumienia procesów przyrodniczych, przebiegających na wyższych poziomach systemowych. Poznawanie środowiska przyrodniczego na poziomie holistycznym jest niezbędne dla zrozumienia procesów jego degradacji, a zarazem antroposferycznej pozycji człowieka oraz roli grup społeczeństw w tym procesie. Istotny wkład w interpretacji holistycznego podejęcia do procesów środowiskowych, coraz częściej pojawia się w dynamicznie rozwijającej się Ekofilozofii. Ekofilozofia badając społeczne, polityczne, ideologiczne i ekonomiczne uwarunkowania i konsekwencje interakcji między człowiekiem, a otaczającym środowiskiem, musi w sposób systemowy opierać się na procesach, których charakter jest holistyczny. Wymaga tego złożoność rozpatrywanych zagadnień z których część jest weryfikowalna empirycznie, część pozostaje jednak w sferze niedostępnej dla empirii. Ta druga część z pewnością powinna podlegać myśleniu filozoficznemu, jednakże nie oderwanemu od tej pierwszej. Artykuł odnosi się do podstawowych pojęć systemowych z pogranicza różnych nauk (Biologia, Ekologia, Ekofilozofia), związanych z poznawaniem środowiska przyrodniczego wpływając, tym samym na kształtowanie metodologii dla prawidłowego kształtowania procesu edukacji proekologicznej.
    The problem of comprehending environment related problems depends not only on the development of natural sciences as such, but also on their cooperation on an interdisciplinary level. Frequently this proves, however, to be difficult to implement, as in the majority of cases those sciences are characterised by a diverse study methodology, and have differing specialist vocabulary, which frequently leads to “incompatibility” of gained test results. Such “incompatibility” may be related to a completely different interpretation of the same natural phenomena. The absence of a standardised and concurrently a well defined approach to problems of environmental protection may be observed already at the level of elementary notions. The most widespread example of such arbitrariness is rather free use, frequently in an interchangeable way, of such notions as: ecology and environment protection, or ecosystem and the biosphere. Those notions are in may cases used as convenient counterparts. In the article the author discusses certain aspects related to with levels of biological organisation, which should be used as a base for all deliberations related to a holistic natural environment. On the basis of knowledge gained in ecology (created from biological sciences), the appropriate reference level should be sought to allow comprehending natural processes, which are taking place on higher levels in the system. Cognition of the natural environment on a holistic level is indispensable if we want to understand processes of its degradation, and simultaneously of the anthropospheric position of man and the role of community groups in that process. Increasingly frequently an important contribution to the interpretation of a holistic approach to environmental processes is made by Ecophilosophy which continues to develop dynamically. By studying social, political, ideological and economic considerations and consequences of interactions between man and the surrounding environment Ecophilosophy needs to be based as a system on processes, the nature of which is holistic. This is necessitated by the complexity of analysed problems, a part of which is verifiable empirically, yet their remainder tends to remain outside of reach for empiricism. This latter part should certainly be subject to philosophical way of thinking, albeit not in detachment of the first group. The article refers to elementary system notions from the borderland of various sciences (Biology, Ecology, Ecophilosophy), which are connected with cognition of the natural environment, consequently affecting formulation of a methodology to allow correct shaping of the pro-ecological education process.

    Celem niniejszego artykułu jest ocena możliwości wsparcia procesów pozyskiwania, kreowania i utrzymania kapitału ludzkiego w organizacji opartej na wiedzy z wykorzystaniem nowoczesnych technologii informatycznych. Dla współczesnych organizacji wykorzystanie wszelkich dostępnych mechanizmów pozwalających przyciągnąć i zatrzymać w niej najwartościowszych kandydatów jest szczególnie istotne. Uwzględniając podstawowe cechy, którymi charakteryzuje się kapitał ludzki, podjęto próbę oceny możliwości wykorzystania w tym celu nowoczesnych technologii informatycznych. W zamierzeniu autora badania ilościowe dotyczące opinii użytkowników na temat roli nowoczesnych technologii informatycznych w realizacji kluczowych procesów związanych z zarządzaniem kapitałem ludzkim miały stanowić kanwę dalszych rozważań. W badaniach udział wzięło blisko 200 respondentów reprezentujących różne spojrzenia na badane zagadnienia, dzięki czemu możliwe było porównanie opinii poszczególnych zbiorowości respondentów.
    The purpose of this article is to evaluate ways to support processes of acquiring, creating and maintaining human capital in a knowledge-based organization using modern information technology. For today's organizations it is particularly important to use all available mechanisms to attract and retain the most valuable candidates within the organization. Taking into account the basic features that characterize human capital, attempt is made to assess the possibilities of using modern information technologies. The intention of the author's quantitative research on people's views on the role of new technologies in implementing key processes related to human capital management, were to form the canvas for further consideration. The study was attended by nearly 200 respondents representing different views on the issues covered, making it possible to compare views of individual community respondents.

    Opis:
    This article deals with the moral-psychological atmosphere in the Socialist-Revolutionary (S-R) emigration and the centrifugal processes in the S-R party. The article examines why these processes emerged after the defeat of the 1905–1907 revolution, how they progressed and how they were affected by the exposure of Yevno Azef. The author, using the documents of the Party commissions of inquiry and courts, provides numerous examples of deviant behaviour within the S-R Party and attempts to create a system of norms and mechanisms for countering the processes of disintegration of the Party organism and violation of the unwritten rules of behaviour of Party members.
