It is impossible to build such an economic system that is made up only of positive features. A positive feature is connected with a negative one, thus they form a pair, the actual image of reality. The tendency to maximize profits makes the financial situation of people different. Now too much central planning induces to disorganization as regards the performance of the planned tasks, if only due to the discrepancy in cooperation. The positive feature of a given reality under other circumstances reverses into its opposition. Each economic model has its positive and negative features. The point is to minimize the former and maximize the latter, so that the economic growth, which brings well-being to some, does not spell at the same time poverty for others. Man always makes plans and projects at the individual and social levels. Thus an economic reality is brought to existence from the rank-and-file level, that is from the enterprises, and from above, from the state and big corporations. Social relations are always built according to a definite economic, political, and moral pattern. If this pattern does not correspond with the circumstances, is inconsistent with reality, then the model is abandoned. In practice, we accept the model which is effective. This model is duplicated and it gains social approval. It is on this foundation that its extension is built. The economic system is being built on the principle of causality, taking into account the concrete reality of finality, of how people image their task. This causality is made up of human patterns and plans.

Opis:
The article presents evolution of the economic policy concept in Austria after the Second World War. The author distinguishes two main stages in Austria's postwar economic policy. The first stage in the years 1955—1970 was a period characterized by predominance of the concept of „social market economy", which constituted a political credo of the Christian Democratic Party being at power in those yeairs. A turning point in the previous neoliberal tradition of the economic policy in Austria took place when the Social Democratic Party came to power. Its „Austrokeynesism" concept realized in the years 1970—1986 may be included to the post-Keynesian trend.

Na podstawie norm międzynarodowych serii ISO 9000 oraz materiałów szkoleniowych omówiono zagadnienia dotyczące jakości oraz systemów zapewnienia jakości w gospodarce rynkowej. Podano strukturę tych norm oraz cel i zakres ich stosowania
The problems concerning the quality and quality assurance systems were discussed on the base of the International Standards series ISO 9000. The structure, scope and the field of application of these Standards were described. The special attention has been drawn to the models of quality assurance specified in ISO 9001, ISO 9002 and ISO 9003. The role of the International Standards series ISO 9000, as a useful tool to harmonize the international trade in free-market economy was stressed. It was emphasized that the application of quality management and quality assurance systems according to ISO 9000 is compatibile with the implementation of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system in the food industry.

Opis:
Wykazano, że całodzienne racje pokarmowe nie pokrywają zalecanych norm na niemal wszystkie składniki odżywcze oraz norm wyżywienia dostatecznego. Struktura spożycia wskazuje na bardzo duże zróżnicowanie sposobu odżywiania się rozpatrywanej grupy dzieci szkolnych.
Studies were aimed at evaluation of nutrition of primary school pupils, 11 -14 years of age. It was shown that the daily food rations fail to comply with the recommended nutritional standards for nearly all nutrients, and do not meet the norms of sufficient nutrition, analysis of the food consumption structure testified to very high differentiation of nutrition in the investigated group; this is doubtless related to the family's income levels. The results point to the need for food supplementation at schools.

Opis:
The study is an attempt at a scientific reflection on transformations and functioning of the Polish agriculture during the process of transition to a market economy (covering the period since 1989). It has been based on theoretical and empirical research on this subject carried by the authors for several years now. The study consists of an introduction and four chapters. Generally speaking, they deal with the analysis and evaluation of experience of agricultural farma (family and atate-owned) operating in changing economlc-political conditions and the atate agricultural policy. Against this background, the authors analyte the Impact of various measures on efficiency of farming activity, directions and forms of transformations, adaptation stimuli and barriers, development dilemmas, etc. The operation of agricultural farms over the last three years has been an object of a most detailed analysis due to radicalization and acceleration of systemic transformations of the Polish economy. Apart from its analytical stratum the study contains also numerous recommendations concerning the principles of elaborating the agricultural policy.

This article shows the system of unemployment benefits in Poland in relation to systems implemented in chosen European countries: German, France, Belgium and Sweden. The characteristic of particular system solution has been based on the following criteria: way and conditions of granting benefit, sources of financing, principles involved in fixing the amount and the period of the benefit. The analysis reveals that solutions are adjusted much better to the situation on the labour market, in the other countries than in Poland. The analysis shows that changes in mechanism of the benefits systems, in the last years, goes to the direction of stimulation of higher activity of the unemployed.
