Opis:
Quality evaluation of logistics services can be performed based on many different aspects. The aim of this paper is the comparison analysis of selected aspects in the area of quality logistics services in refrigerated transport. The objects of conducted research includes: frequency level of company irregularities, importance of factors deciding about company competitiveness, importance of logistic service features influencing customer satisfaction, importance of factors related with flexible approach to provide logistic services, criteria of selection of logistic services or providers as well as prices of logistic services. The research was conducted on the basis of the questionnaires designed for providers and purchasers of logistic services. The subjects of the research were companies which are providing logistic services in refrigerated transport area and using those services. For the purpose of statistical analysis the Manna-Whitney’a and? 2 test were used.

W artykule zaprezentowano zadania logistyki przy sprzedaży części zamiennych do ciągników i maszyn rolniczych. Omówiono wykorzystanie outsourcingu w realizacji usług transportowych. Przeprowadzono badania wpływu zjawiska sezonowości na poziom ousourcingu w usługach przewozowych części zamiennych do ciągników i maszyn rolniczych, wykonywanych przez fi rmy kurierskie. Wyznaczono wartość indeksów sezonowych dla badanego okresu i poddano ocenie rozkład ich zmian w aspekcie zespołu upraw polowych wykonywanych zgodnie z kalendarzem zabiegów agrotechnicznych.
In this article the aims of logistics in sale of the spare parts for tractors and agricultural machines are presented. The outsourcing in providing of transport services is discussed. The research on the infl uence of phenomenon of seasonality on the level of outsourcing in the transport of spare parts for tractors and agricultural machines by courier companies is conducted. The value of seasonal indices for the examined period is outlined. Also the layout of their changes form the perspective of agricultural complex and in accordance with agriculture calendar is judged.

The logistic services belong to the network services and it is possible to look similarity with other services such as transport and telecommunications. On this basis, the paper shows that by use of sufficient disaggregation, the logistic system can be analysed by network layers. This new theoretical approach will be represented by designed logistic system model based on three layers: logistic infrastructure, technology of transportation and passive infrastructure of logistic network.

Artykuł przedstawia organizację chmury obliczeniowej zaprojektowanej w ramach projektu LOGICAL (program Central Europe) i wdrożonej na Uniwersytecie Ekonomicznym we Wrocławiu. W szczególności opisano architekturę platformy, jej główne komponenty i usługi oraz platformę VMWare. Przedstawiona chmura obliczeniowa jest zorientowana na usługi i aplikacje dla małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw logistycznych w Europie Centralnej. Projekt LOGICAL jest w trakcie realizacji, jego zakończenie planuje się na koniec 2014 roku.

The paper presents selected financial benefits for organizations resulting from the use of outsourcing in logistics services. The research conducted in the organization indicated that conducting transport services on their own requires significant cash outlays related to: the employment of employees, purchase and maintenance of means of transport, insurance, purchase of fuel, etc. Estimated costs were compared with expenses incurred by the hypermarket as a result of employing an outsourcing company. The results of the research have confirmed the importance of using outsourcing in the analyzed organization. The aim of the study is to compare the costs that the organization would incur without excluding transportation services and the outsourcing costs of the aforementioned services, the profit of a company can have from using outsourced services is estimated in the paper.

The number of shipments is growing every year, and as a result, new transport companies arise. The increase in competition requires from entrepreneurs to apply solutions increasing the level of services provided in order to best satisfy the needs of the customers. In this aspect, minimizing the time of deliveries is extremely important, and it can be achieved, for example, by implementing the cross-docking method. It consists in consolidation of cargo from different shipment locations that is delivered in the same direction. The main feature of the above method is to keep the labor intensity of operations and the interference in the cargo to the minimum. The purpose of this article is to present a research on a logistic operator working based on a cross-docking warehouse with a capacity significantly lower than the average daily quantity of shipments handled. This requires both effective management of the available space and minimizing the time spent on manipulation activities. Therefore, it is important to know the expected number of parcels that are planned to be received and shipped on a given day in order to coordinate the work in the warehouse. It is possible to estimate it by using mathematical methods of forecasting. One of them - the multiple regression - is presented in this article. The calculations were made on the basis of collected empirical observations concerning orders for pallet spaces placed by customers. Such a forecast allows for improvement of the processes of planning and management of the possessed resources. It allows to adjust the number of warehouse workers or vehicles necessary for internal transport to the expected needs. Ultimately, it may translate into more efficient functioning not only of the surveyed branch, but also of the whole network.

The limited availability of natural raw materials leads to a search for solutions facilitating their acquisition from already manufactured goods, which at the end of their life cycle become a source of secondary raw materials. To ensure the availability of secondary raw materials, it is necessary to organize logistics processes in such a way as to ensure the synchronisation of material and information flows. An important role for the efficiency of the logistics system of secondary raw materials is the organisation of the subsystem of their collection, including setting collection dates and delivery of appropriate logistic units to customers. The article presents the results of a survey on a group of individual customers assessing their customer satisfaction with the organisation of secondary raw material collection. The CSI index was used to assess satisfaction. This evaluation became the basis for identifying the information gap in customer service. A conceptual solution to improve the information flow between operators and customers in the form of a mobile application was proposed as a solution to the disruption in this area.

W artykule podjęto tematykę innowacyjności przedsiębiorstw w kontekście firm świadczących usługi logistyczne. Określono rolę innowacyjności w kreowaniu konkurencyjności rynkowej oraz zaprezentowano wyniki badań własnych oceniających poziom innowacyjności podlaskich firm z branży TSL. Przeprowadzone analizy wskazują, iż głównymi celami innowacyjności firm logistycznych są: poprawa jakości oferowanych usług, dostosowanie oferowanych usług do potrzeb i oczekiwań klientów, redukcja kosztów działania oraz zwiększenie wydajności pracy. Jako bariery w podejmowaniu projektów innowacyjnych zidentyfikowano: bariery finansowe, długi czas wdrażania innowacji oraz obawę przed podjęciem ryzyka. Czynnikami, które mogłyby pobudzić innowacyjność firm logistycznych są: większa dostępność do zewnętrznych źródeł finansowania innowacji, zdobycie wiedzy na temat innowacyjnych rozwiązań w zakresie procesów biznesowych i posiadanie większych umiejętności do zarządzania projektem innowacyjnym. Autorzy uważają, iż działania związane z kreowaniem polityki gospodarczej regionu powinny być nastawione na pobudzanie innowacyjności, stąd też zalecane jest wykorzystanie wyników przeprowadzonych badań w praktyce decyzji związanych z kreowaniem polityki gospodarczej w regionie.
In the paper the subject of innovation is undertaken in the context of companies providing logistic services. The authors defined the role of innovation in the creation of market competitiveness and present results of research assessing the level of innovation in LSP in Podlasie. The conducted survey shows that the main objectives of innovation in logistics companies are: improvement in the quality of services, adapting services to meet the needs and expectations of customers, reducing operating costs and increasing productivity. As the barriers of innovative projects there have been identified: financial barriers, long time of innovation and the fear of taking risk. Factors that could foster innovation in logistics companies are: access to external sources of financing innovation, gain knowledge on innovative solutions for business processes and have a greater ability to manage innovative projects. The authors believe that the activities associated with the creation of regional economic policy should be aimed at promoting innovation, and therefore it is recommended to use the research results in practice of decision making related to creating economic policy in the region.

Budownictwo to jedna z najważniejszych gałęzi gospodarki. Specyfika tej branży powoduje, że logistyka odgrywa ogromną rolę w prowadzeniu prac budowlanych. Szczególnie istotny jest tutaj system metalogistyczny, związany z dostarczaniem materiałów na miejsce inwestycji. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie istoty funkcjonowania hurtowni budowlanych z uwzględnieniem wsparcia logistycznego usług w budownictwie oraz zaprezentowanie istotnych korzyści, które daje wykonawcy budowlanemu współpraca ze sprawnie funkcjonującym składem budowlanym. Podczas pracy nad artykułem zastosowano metodę obserwacji uczestniczącej. Na podstawie przeprowadzonej analizy stwierdzono, że hurtownie budowlane odgrywają niezwykle istotną rolę w systemach logistycznych firm budowlanych. Główne korzyści, które oferują wykonawcom budowlanym, to nie tylko zapewnienie dostępności materiałów oraz ich terminowa dostawa zsynchronizowana z harmonogramem prac, ale także możliwość skorzystania z wielu usług dodatkowych.
Construction is one of the most important branches of the economy. The specificity of this industry causes that logistics plays a huge role in conducting construction works. The metalogistic system related to the delivery of materials to the investment site is particularly important here. The aim of the article is to present the essence of the functioning of construction wholesalers, taking into account logistic support for construction services and to point out the significant benefits for the builders resulting from cooperation with an construction warehouse. The participant observation method was used. Based on the analysis, it was found that construction wholesalers play a very important role in the logistics systems of construction companies. The main benefits that they offer the builders include not only the availability of materials and their timely delivery synchronized with the work schedule, but also the access to many additional services.
