    Great significance in university courses is attributed to the subject of information technology. According to curricula and guidelines resulting from procedures for the quality of teaching this subject has been associated with teaching effects in the area of know-how, skills and social competences. These effects have been validated. Three areas of research have been scheduled: evaluation of each of the teaching effects, assessment of didactic as well as grading methods; assessment of a number of teaching effects and a possibility of suggesting one’s own teaching effects.

    Information Technology (IT) entered the world of education with authority and with general assumption that it would enhance students’ learning. It is used in the educational environment for many uses, with class delivery as one of the most important purposes. The aim of the study was to investigate the preferences in the delivery methods by students and compare with those favoured by the instructors. Additionally, the study assessed the use of IT in preparation (by instructors) and access (by students) of material related to learning. A separate issue addressed was classroom cheating by students and IT application for that purpose. The study indicated a clear preference by both students and instructors for blended learning of traditional face to face lecturing with additional on-line material. The study also confirmed the use of IT as a tool for class cheating. Although reluctantly, up to 73% of students confessed to cheating using one or other method.

    Kreatywność studentów to umiejętność tworzenia i zmieniania otaczającej rzeczywistości. Na Uniwersytecie Rzeszowskim jest ona rozwijana w ramach innowacyjnego laboratorium i-Lab2. W artykule opisano założenia organizacyjne i metodologiczne laboratorium oraz przedstawiono wyniki sesji przeprowadzonych ze studentami. Nasze doświadczenia pokazują, że zastosowanie technologii informacyjnych w procesie nauczania przyczynia się do rozwoju innowacyjności i kreatywności uczestników sesji, którzy pracują nad problemem, począwszy od administrowania istniejącymi rozwiązaniami, a skończywszy na dodawaniu czegoś nowego. Sesje w i-Lab2 sprzy-jają pracy w grupach i integracji.
    Creativity of students is the ability to create and change the surrounding reality. At the Univer-sity of Rzeszów (Poland), it is being developed as part of the innovative i-Lab2 laboratory. The article describes the organizational and methodological assumptions of the laboratory and presents the results of the sessions carried out with the students. Our experience shows that the use of in-formation technology in the teaching process contributes to the development of innovation and creativity of session participants who work on the problem, from administering existing solutions to adding something new. Sessions in i-Lab2 support group work and integration.

    Author analyses the use of new technologies by the pedagogy students from the generation of digital natives focusing on using the functions of mobile electronic devices and basic functions of Internet. Data has been collected with Google Forms. They allow to collect the data very quick, to see the responses immediately and to export the data to a spreadsheet. The aim of the study is to determine the level of student’s competence on the chosen field of information technology. Research shows that students have lower skills than they declare. Author advocates that this situation needs to be improved.

    Information Technology (IT) is a major part of modern society and is already well embedded in everyday life. IT is believed to be a perfect tool to enhance learning, also at tertiary level. However, it is uncertain whether students use the IT for educational purposes and if that usage is at higher than basic level. The aim of the study was to investigate the use of IT by engineering students and especially their use of technology in the learning process. The study proves that the students are surrounded by common type of IT, such as smartphones and computers, and use them almost constantly. However, its use is not directed towards learning process and especially towards learning engineering applications. The knowledge and skills of programming and specialized engineering software declared by students is astonishingly low for students of engineering faculty. It appears that students’ IT ownership, access, and some, although limited, competencies have not translated into use for educational purposes.

The results proved that the students are aware of the benefits of modern technology and that they use them skillfully An increase in. skills is visible in the declarations of respondents, depending on the age of the students.

    This article is a report on the research on the perception of e-learning conducted among students of the first year of full-time studies at the Maria Grzegorzewska Academy of Special Education in Warsaw who were participating in the information technology course. The aim of this study was to evaluate the e-learning course of Windows Live Movie Maker program intended to create movies prepared by the author and to gather the opinions of students on e-learning. The author presents the most popular model for creating e-learning courses and suggests programs in which teachers can create their training. The author acknowledges a course he created as well received by students and advocates the implementation of this method of teaching in academic education.

    Several experiments combining analog design with digital parametric design have been presented, where the relationship between material properties and the designed shape of an architectural element play an important role. This approach allows to create digital material formations or to structure freeform surfaces, control their tectonics, through parametric modulation. Similar research tasks were initiated in the years 2003-2004 during the classes conducted at the Architectural Associations School of Architecture in London. In Poland, for the first time, making use of that experience, a number of similar teaching experiments were carried out in 2013 under the academic supervision of Krystyna Januszkiewicz and Mateusz Zwierzycki, at the newly established Research Laboratory of the students of the Faculty of Architecture of Poznan University of Technology.

    This quasi-experimental study aimed at looking into the effectiveness of blended learning approach in improving the performance in Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) Course of Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) first year students at JBLFMU-Arevalo during the second semester of school year 2018-2019. The respondents of this research were the two sections comparable with each other who were enrolled in the subject ICT. There were 40 student respondents composed of 20 in the experimental group and 20 in the control group. A validated and reliability-tested 45 item researcher-made multiple choice test was used as an instrument with a Cronbach index of 0.88. The statistical tools used were mean, standard deviation, Mann-Whitney test, and Wilcoxon-Signed ranks test set at .05 level of significance. The effect size was computed to determine the effectiveness of the blended learning approach in terms of students’ performance in ICT. Results showed that in the pretest, though the experimental group had a higher mean score than the control group, the Mann-Whitney test showed that the mean scores of the two groups were comparable because the significant value was greater than .05. When the treatment was introduced, findings showed that there were significant differences in the ICT performance in the pretest and posttest of experimental and control groups as well as in the posttests of both groups. Results inferred that blended learning approach was more than a hundred percent effective showing significant results on the experimental group. It could also be inferred that the better performance of the control group could be attributed to the traditional method of teaching, the lecture method.

    The author presents the problem connected to the use of the internet teaching English to business students. All the materials and information available on the internet help students to improve their text understanding, writing, listening, grammar, vocabulary, idioms and conversations in English. The author compares traditional and new interactive teaching methods. The paper consists of a list with internet addresses, which can help in English teaching. That list was prepared by the author of the paper.

    Nadzór nad testami wiedzy studentów z wykorzystaniem komputera zwiększa obiektywizm i wiarygodność wyników. Rozwiązanie to daje możliwość nie tylko do sprawdzania wiedzy uczniów, ale także do ich poprawiania. Pomaga zwiększyć poziom przyswojenia jednostek dydaktycznych dyscypliny. Pozwala także zaoszczędzić czas pracy nauczyciela poświęcany do sprawdzania prac uczniów. Badania eksperymentalne potwierdziły wysoki stopień gotowości studentów do postrzegania i zapamiętywania informacji w testach komputerowych opartych na szkoleniach. Pozwala to na personalizowanie edukacji, z uwzględnieniem indywidualnych cech uczniów i samego procesu uczenia się.
    Test control of knowledge of students using a computer enhances objectivity and reliability of the results. It gives an opportunity not only to check the students’ knowledge, but also to correct them. It helps increase the level of assimilation of didactic units of the discipline. It allows you to save the time of the teacher to check student work. Experimental research has confirmed a high degree of readiness of students to perceive and remember information in a training computer-based testing. This allows to personalize the education, taking into account the individual characteristics of students and the learning process itself.

    Jak wykazują liczne badania, sieć oraz interaktywne narzędzia zaczynają determinować działania całego społeczeństwa, nie tylko osób młodych. W konsekwencji nowe technologie, jako powszechnie stosowane i akceptowane, winny być również włączane do działań profilaktycznych i resocjalizacyjnych – jako element wspierający i urozmaicający powyższe. Pytanie – czy jesteśmy na to gotowi? Jaką wiedzę i umiejętności w tym zakresie posiadają studenci – przyszli pracownicy ośrodków wychowawczych, schronisk dla nieletnich czy zakładów poprawczych? Czy i w jakim stopniu wiedza na temat czynników sprzyjających skutecznej profilaktyce motywuje ich do poznawania interaktywnych metod nauczania oraz narzędzi dydaktycznych wspierających działania profilaktyczne? Artykuł jest między innymi próbą odpowiedzi na powyższe pytania. Przedłożone czytelnikowi badania miały charakter cykliczny i powtarzane były rokrocznie przez 5 lat. Materiał badawczy zgromadzony zostały na podstawie eksperymentu pedagogicznego, który swym zasięgiem objął 88 osób. Zrealizowane analizy w głównej mierze opierają się na danych ilościowych pozyskanych na podstawie: testów wiedzy i umiejętności, obserwacji, jak również ankiet. Materiał badawczy uzupełniony został o dane jakościowe otrzymane dzięki przeprowadzonym wywiadom. Dobór grupy badawczej był zamierzony. Autorka w ramach realizowanych badań skorzystała z takich statystyk jak: średnia, mediana oraz test Wilcoxona.
    The Internet and interactive tools, as numerous studies show, are beginning to determine the actions of the whole society, not only of young people. As a consequence, newtechnologies, as commonly used and accepted, should also be included in prevention and rehabilitation activities – as an element supporting and diversifying the above. The questionis, are we ready for this? What knowledge and skills do students as future employees of educational centers, shelters for minors or correctional facilities have in this respect? Does,and if so – to what extent the knowledge of the factors conducive to effective prevention motivates them to learn about interactive teaching methods and educational tools supporting prevention activities? This article is, i.a., an attempt to answer the above questions. The studies submitted to the readers’ hands were cyclical and were repeated every yearfor a period of 5 years. The research material was collected on the basis of a pedagogical experiment, which covered 88 people. The analyses are mainly based on quantitative dataobtained from: knowledge and skills tests, observations, as well as surveys. The research material was supplemented with qualitative data obtained through interviews. The selectionof the research group was intentional. The author used such statistics as: mean, median and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test.

Najważniejsze motywy studiowania stanowią: zgodność kierunku studiów z zainteresowaniami studentów, duże perspektywy po ukończeniu studiów, możliwość uzyskania tytułu inżyniera.
    Studies have shown that the most important sources of information on studying at the Faculty of Fundamentals of Technology in Lublin University of Technolog for candidates are: internet, colleagues and friends from college and advertising materials of the Lublin University of Technolog. The main themes of study are: compliance with the faculty students' interests, big prospects after graduation, to obtain the title of engineer.

    Opis:
    This article is devoted to the issue of cultural animation in educational practice. The authors share their experiences in the field of animation of educational activities for regional and global education of students of primary schools in Toruń during workshops carried out as part of the Toruń Science and Art Festival. The active and committed attitude of the participants in the classes was intensified by information and communication technologies constituting a specific transmission channel of the cultural components and elements of nature. The aim of the presented text is to popularize initiatives that stimulate socio-cultural and educational activity of citizens confronted with the emerging civilizational challenges of the 21st century.
    Niniejszy artykuł poświęcony jest zagadnieniu animacji kulturalnej w praktyce edukacyjnej. Autorki tekstu dzielą się swoimi doświadczeniami w zakresie animacji działań edukacyjnych na rzecz edukacji regionalnej i globalnej uczniów toruńskich szkół podstawowych zdobytymi podczas warsztatów realizowanych w ramach Toruńskiego Festiwalu Nauki i Sztuki. Aktywną i zaangażowaną postawę uczestników zajęć potęgowały technologie informacyjno-komunikacyjne stanowiące swoisty kanał transmisyjny składników kultury i elementów przyrody. Celem prezentowanego tekstu jest popularyzacja inicjatyw pobudzających aktywność społeczno-kulturalną i edukacyjną współczesnych obywateli w obliczu pojawiających się wyzwań cywilizacyjnych.
