Opis:
The article includes a literature outline of the scientific field of management sciences concerning issues of security management an organization. The article focuses on identifying literature in this area and describing the process in terms of the essence of management in the organization. The authors who were pioneers of the subject were indicated and the author also pointed to the important roles of the approach to information security management in the process of building and organizational development of the enterprise. At the end of the article, the author discusses opinions of other authors in the selection of the optimal strategy for managing security in an enterprise and shows how it financially a effects the company and its intangible market value.
Artykuł zawiera zarys literatury naukowej z zakresu nauk o zarządzaniu dotyczący zagadnień zarządzania procesem bezpieczeństwa informacji w organizacji. Artykuł koncentruje się na identyfikacji literatury w tym obszarze i opisaniu tego procesu pod względem istoty zarządzania w organizacji. Wskazano autorów z całego świata, którzy są pionierami zarządzania procesem bezpieczeństwa jako unikalnego tematu rozwoju organizacji. Autor wskazał nowe trendy podejścia do zarządzania bezpieczeństwem informacji w procesie budowania i rozwoju modelu biznesu przedsiębiorstwa. Na końcu artykułu autor, opierając się na literaturze, dokonuje wyboru optymalnej strategii zarządzania bezpieczeństwem w przedsiębiorstwie. Autor pokazuje, w jaki sposób bezpieczeństwo zarządzania wpływa finansowo na organizację i jej wartość rynkową.

Maintenance involves a large amount of data management. Although many tools, strategies, and systems, have been developed to organize the maintenance information resources, SMEs have not found the same benefits as large companies due to their inherent characteristics and, above all, the maturity level of the maintenance department. Maturity models are useful tools for assessing the maturity of maintenance information practices; however, existing models are not suitable for any type of business context, as they required companies to have a clear organizational structure and definite informative infrastructure. Moreover, they do not assist in identifying and defining actions to reach the highest level. This paper proposes a model for assessing and improving maintenance management information practices. It allows a clear measure of the maturity of the maintenance information management practices in industrial contexts and provides improvement actions identifying the information and data needed to enhance maintenance management information practices.

The paper presents the results of research on differentiation of the ad- vancement level of solutions and logistics management systems based on ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) used in the Polish food industry. The research was conducted in terms of industry, employment size and three market characteristics of the surveyed enterprises: investment level, financial situation and market position. The study used the IAI (Information Advancement Index) synthe- tic indicator and two methods for categorizing its values: uniform across the range of values and based on mean values and standard deviation. The paper also presents the reference of the obtained research results to the productivity paradox of Solow and the results of similar research previously carried out on the level of advance- ment of logistics solutions and systems in the Polish food industry.

The author formulates guidelines of methods of information systems designing. Implementation of these guidelines should contribute to bridging the gap of immunological organization and acceptance of the system. Next, there are briefly discussed selected methods of designing i.e. Nadler's method, McDonougi's analytical model, J. Graham’s procedure, Buachardt's block method, and diagnostic method. The discussed methods are then submitted to comparative analysis from the point of view of fulfilment of the earlier mentioned guldelines.

In this paper, the authors attempt to identify the universal factors of the effectiveness of selected database models used in Management Information Systems. Selection of an appropriate database model at the stage of design and implementation directly determines the effectiveness of the Management Information Systems within an organisation. The relational database model and database models based on NoSQL paradigms, including in particular graph databases and document-oriented databases, will be evaluated. NoSQL-class database models demonstrate properties in terms of effective application for business purposes.

In the following work the authors attempt to find the best way to design a dynamic structural model of information management system of moving objects. This structural model allows organizing various management systems of moving objects, considering the spatial and time dependencies between the key components or parameters of the said management system. An example of such system may be a group of UAVs.
W pracy autorzy próbują znaleźć najlepszy sposób zaprojektowania dynamicznego modelu strukturalnego systemu zarządzania informacji poruszających się obiektów. Ten model strukturalny umożliwia organizowanie różnych systemów zarządzania poruszających się obiektów, biorąc pod uwagę przestrzenne i czasowe zależności pomiędzy kluczowymi komponentami lub parametrów tego systemu zarządzania. Przykładem takiego systemu może być grupa bezzałogowych statków powietrznych.

The article attempts to indicate the direction of ERP class information systems development. From the beginning, these systems have been changing and evolving. In this paper, development trends of information systems, information systems technology and enterprise information management were analyzed in the context of Industry 4.0 tools. In the first part (par. 1–2), fundamental definitions referred to the subject were presented as well as historic background of Integrated Management Information Systems. In the second part (par. 3), evolution and trends in ERP class systems, electronic economy tools and Product Lifecycle Management software were described. In the third part (par. 4–5), observed trends in information systems technology, in relation to Industry 4.0 tools, were discussed including manufacturing resources, production objects and novel management strategies approach. Many conclusions were related with actual manufacturing practices observed by the authors.

The origin of the International Code for the Management of Safe Ship Operations and Pollution Prevention and the revised guidelines for the administration of the ISM Code by administrations, the first formal mandatory standard for safety management and pollution prevention goes back to the early 1980s. Arrangement of safe ship management and operation and consequent minimization of errors human being by far the most common cause of marine disasters is its main. The shipowner's and ship's certification procedure for the Safety Management System (SMS) is in line with Regulation (EC) No 336/2006 [1] of the European Parliament and the Council of Europe of 15 February 2006 on the implementation of the ISM Code in the Community, together with the Commission's amendment European Union of June 16, 2008. The documentation contains a developed Safety Management System adapted to the conditions of a given shipowner. All elements of the system must be documented, and, above all, the duties must be described in the organizational structures. Documentation must indicate how management supervises activities at various levels, employee participation and individual management representatives in individual processes, and how the safety management system is constantly improved. The shipowner maintains a security management system in line with the requirements of the Code and complies with the requirements of the certification system. The amount of information and the speed of changes taking place in the environment makes it necessary to introduce a system of information management and channels of their flow not only within the organization, but also in communication with third parties. Proper management of information resources increases the efficiency and effectiveness of the system. In the publication, the possibility of a formalized description of information flow in a well-functioning shipowner's safety management system.

Opis:
The definition of the structure of knowledge in controlling sub-system in integrated management computer support system is presented in this paper.In the first part of the article, a controlling sub-system is characterized. Next, the formal definition of knowledge structure is presented. This structure can be used, for example, to verify and compare heterogenous knowledge generated by using different methods of analysis. The final part describes an example of use of elaborated structure in practice, related to the operation of the prototype of controlling subsystem in the enterprise operating in the financial sector, which focusses on deleveraging of hospitals.

The paper will be of particular use to those users considering the implementation of the next generation of integrated manufacturing and logistics systems.
