    Opis:
    This article presents the impact of meteorological and hydrologic droughts on the groundwater level (so-called hydrogeological drought) based on selected examples from Lower Silesia (SW Poland). The reduction in discharge rate and size in springs, and the duration of low stages in relation to the selected river flows are presented. Groundwater level fluctuations in shallow and deeper aquifers are discussed. The study shows the length of delayed reaction of groundwater in deeper aquifers levels. Examples of effects due to flooding by surface water on the position of groundwater levels in river valleys are presented. Description of the reaction in groundwater, in terms of temporal and spatial extent, is also given. Both periods of hydrogeological drought and flooding events create significant problems for rational water management, especially in the areas of water intakes for individual, rural and large agglomerations.

    Opis:
    The article presents the results of measurements of gravity performed in the Astronomical and Geodetic Observatory Józefosław. Time series have been verified for parameters related to celestial bodies, atmospheric pressure changes and metrological factors. The analysis of these changes includes geodynamic and hydrological aspects taking into account global and local changes in groundwater levels. The aim of the article is to indicate the interpretation of contemporary measurements of gravity field against the contemporary accuracy of such measurements and to indicate the need for information on the level of groundwater (collected by the Polish Hydrogeological Survey) in procedures for the elaboration and interpretation ofgravimetric measurements and supportfrom hydrogeologists. Contemporary the gravity measurements with use of absolute gravimeters gives possibility determination of gravity value with uncertainty of the order 10-8 ms-2. Such accuracy corresponds to a vertical displacement of a point of less than 1 cm or a change in the water level of 2.5 cm. Use of gravimetric methods in the broadly understood Earth sciences must be supported by information related to changes in mass distribution around the measuring station, mainly related to the groundwater level changes. This allows to see the role of hydrogeological information related to the monitoring of groundwater as an indispensable information describing changes in the Earth’s gravity field.

    W obszarze niecki podhalańskiej funkcjonuje kilkanaście otworów hydrogeologicznych ujmujących wodę termalną. Jednym z nich jest otwór Chochołów PIG-1 eksploatowany na potrzeby kompleksu rekreacyjnego Chochołowskie Termy. W listopadzie 2017 roku przeprowadzono w przedmiotowym otworze badania hydrogeologiczne w celu korekty podstawowych parametrów hydrogeologicznych związanych z eksploatacją ujęcia tj. jego zasobów eksploatacyjnych i dopuszczalnego obniżenia zwierciadła wód termalnych. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na warunki wygrzewania się otworu. Wyniki pompowania pomiarowego pozwoliły głębiej poznać warunki występowania wód termalnych ujmowanych przedmiotowym otworem.
    In the Podhale basin there are several hydrogeological boreholes that cover geothermal water. One of them is the Chochołów PIG-1 well used for the needs of the Chochołowskie Termy recreation complex. In November 2017, tests were carried out in the well in order to establish the basic hydrogeological parameters related to exploitation of the intake, i.e. to determine its operational resources and permissible lowering of the groundwater table. Particular attention was paid to the conditions of the borehole tmperature effect.The results of the conducted measuring pumping allowed to get to know more deeply the conditions of occurrence of thermal waters captured by the borehole.

    W artykule przedstawiono i omówiono wpływ przeprowadzonego rozpoznania warunków hydrogeologicznych na poprawność wykonania przesłony przeciwfiltracyjnej składowiska odpadów, a tym samym na poprawę jakości wód podziemnych w jego rejonie. Problematykę stopnia rozpoznania warunków hydrogeologicznych podczas projektowania i wykonania zabezpieczenia składowiska przedstawiono na przykładzie składowiska Słabomierz-Krzyżówka.
    In the paper, an effect of the extent of exploration of hydrogeological conditions on the correct execution of a seepage screen of a landfill, aiming to the improvement of groundwater quality in the vicinity of waste disposal site, was analysed. The issue was exemplified in the design and construction of the seepage screen for the Słabomierz-Krzyżówka landfill.
