Opis:
The aim of this work is to present the ways of improvement the management process in the CFM company, by developing and implementing the Management Information System (MIS). In the first chapter the characteristic of Car Fleet Management company is presented. The second chapter describes how MIS could support management of that type of company, as well as general and functional requirements of the computer application. Third chapter presents an example of methodology of solving selected decision-making problem using a fuzzy rule-based model.

Opis:
This paper develops an expert based framework for analysing and synthesising the ship allision risk near the offshore wind farm (OWF) on the basis of a generic Fuzzy Bayesian network and FMEA analysis. This framework is specifically intended to overcome the difficulty of using traditional risk assessment methods in OWF allision. Under the introduced framework, subjective belief degrees are assigned to model the incompleteness encountered in establishing the knowledge base. The fuzzy transformation technology is then used to introduce all judgements results under various situations. Fully, a Bayesian network is established to aggregate all relevant attributes to the conclusion and to prioritise potential allision risk level of each ship categories. A series of case studies of different ship categories are studied to illustrate the application of the proposed framework. Results show that the fishing vessel and the service vessel have a higher allision risk than the merchant vessel due to insufficient risk detection. The collision consequence of the tanker is significantly higher than other types of vessel. The framework facilitates subjective risk assessment when historical failure data is not available in their practice, which provides support to OWF-safeguarding and decision-making.

Opis:
Rapid deployment of IT brings about new issues with software usability measurement. Usability is based on users’ experience and is strongly subjective, having a qualitative character. The users’ comfort is usually collected by surveys in their daily work. The present article stems from an experimental study related to the evaluation of the usability of tools by a rule-based system. The work suggests a robust computational model that will be able to avoid the main problems arising from the experimental study (a large and less-legible rule base) and to deal with the vagueness of IT user experience, different levels of skills and various numbers of filled questionnaires in different departments. The computational model is based on three hierarchical levels of aggregation supported by fuzzy logic. Choices for the most suitable aggregation functions in each level are advocated and illustrated with examples. The number of questions and granularity of answers in this approach can be adjusted to each user group, which could reduce the response burden and errors. Finally, the paper briefly describes further possibilities of the suggested approach.
