Every man has a specific personality determined by various factors, including genetic predispositions, environment, education and individual activity. It is because of these elements that one has certain goals to achieve in life and that one performs social roles in a specific way. The importance of the family that one is born to, the creators of the processes of education and socialisation, i.e. parents, teachers, pedagogues, guardians, the environment one spends time in, the schools one attends, the peer groups on identifies with, one's role models is not to be underestimated. Taking into account the multitude of factors determining the education of a child in a numerous family the environmental determinants (including age, education, professional activity of parents or the lack thereof, residence of the numerous family, financial situation, number of children) in this system of multiple categories constituting the elements characterising the form of contemporary family of three or more children should be emphasized.

Treść artykułu dotyczy zmian zachodzących w otaczającej człowieka rzeczywistości. Zmiany obejmują wszystkie dziedziny życia społecznego, a więc również edukację, w tym edukację małego dziecka. Znajdują swoje odbicie między innymi w modyfikacji funkcji przedszkola pełnionych zarówno wobec dziecka, jak i rodziców. Obecnie na plan pierwszy wysuwa się funkcja określana jako dążenie do wspomagania rozwoju dziecka. Pozostaje ona w zgodzie z podmiotowym charakterem współczesnego wychowania. Działania wychowawczo-dydaktyczne nauczyciela przedszkola, uwzględniające tę funkcję, przyczynić się powinny do tworzenia warunków sprzyjających wyrównywaniu szans edukacyjnych dzieci znajdujących się u progu szkoły.
Article relates to changes of the reality around us. Alterations include all aspects of social life, especially education, which cincludes education of small children. The function of preschool is modifying. This evolution affects duties of preschool to children as well as parents. Currently the major function is supporting the child’s development. It is consistent with the subjective nature of contemporary education. Furthermore, educational and didactic activity of pre–school teachers, which accounts for this kind of function, should contribute to creating favourable conditions to give equal opportunity for education of children who are on the threshold of primary school.

Opis:
A family is a social group which is to carry out an important task in human community. Those tasks are various functions which are meant to well and safely bring up a mature person. However, the educational function has a special significance as in this way a young man is introduced into the world of culture, he creates his first world image, its order, attitude to himself, his life and responsibilities. Every family has their own traditions, customs, habits and atmosphere which form a new social unit. The atmosphere in a family environment has key significance for the formation of child’s personality. It shapes child’s emotional life, his attitudes and motivations. Socialization process takes place in a family and it is related to the phenomenon of inheriting values. The family stores and conveys basic values to next generations. In family culture the moral values which are represented by parents are particularly important; they are the norm code which defines what is allowed and what is prohibited, what is good and what is evil. In this process a natural role of adults includes: communicating clear and understandable criteria, reactions and actions which are consistent with declared values, patient explanations, discussing reasons and gradual leaving more and more space for child’s own attempts to make his own assessment.

The article describes and highlights the function of parents and teachers in media education of children who are the youngest users of media. There are goals and tasks of media education and teachers media competences presented in the article. Referring to the core curriculum the author presents the content of media education at nursery and primary schools. Solutions for media literacy in family and school proposed by the literature are presented in the article. Niniejsze opracowanie poświęcone jest naturalnemu środowisku wychowawczemu, jakim jest rodzina. Przedmiotem badań uczyniono jej funkcję edukacyjną, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem charakterystyki jej uwarunkowań, przejawów i sposobów realizacji. Podjęto się charakterystyki specyfiki modelu rodziny polskiej w XIX wieku, dokonujących się w nim przemian i warunkujących je czynników. Można stwierdzić, iż upowszechniany w XIX stuleciu model rodziny jako środowiska wychowawczego był na tyle uniwersalny, a nawet atrakcyjny, że mógł być i bywał przyjmowany przez rodziny z różnych warstw społecznych. Sądzono, że każda rodzina bez względu na jej status społeczny jest pierwszym i najważniejszym środowiskiem wychowawczym. Każda rodzina bowiem, bez względu na jej miejsce w stratyfikacji społecznej, pełniła znaczącą funkcję edukacyjną i kształtowała osobowość dzieci całokształtem organizacji i treści swego życia. Funkcja edukacyjna rodziny przejawiała się w wyznawanym i wpajanym młodemu pokoleniu systemie wartości, atmosferze domu, występujących w rodzinie wzorach zachowań, układzie stosunków i relacji w niej panujących, podziale ról rodzinnych, czynnościach wykonywanych przez poszczególnych jej członków – domowników. Opisany model rodziny i realizacja funkcji edukacyjnej na jej gruncie podlegały zmianom wraz z przemianami cywilizacyjnymi i społeczno-ekonomicznymi, które dokonywały się już od pierwszych dekad XX wieku.
In the history of Poland the family has determined for centuries not only the vitality of family traditions, but also the shaping of the face of the nation, its mentality, and scale of openness. Especially in the 19th and the early 20th century, the “institution” of the family home played a unique role. This was due, inter alia, to the political situation experienced by the Polish nation under the partitions. The family model popularized in the 19th century was so versatile, and even attractive, that it could be, and was, frequently adopted by families from different social classes. The majority of 19th-century educators and journalists did not particularly distinguish between the educational functions to be met by families belonging to various social classes. It was believed that every family, regardless of its social status, was the first and most important educational environment. For it was the family, regardless of its place in the social stratification, that performed an important educational function, and shaped the personality of children through the entirety of its organization, and the content of its life. The educational function of the family manifested itself in the system of values, home atmosphere, patterns of behaviour occurring in the family, the system of relations and relationships prevailing in it, the division of family roles, and the activities performed by each of its members-the household, professed by and instilled in the younger generation. It was in the family, from the parents, grandparents, and its other members that children learnt the Polish language, respect for local traditions, the principles of the Catholic faith, piety, and patriotism. A special role in the implementation of educational functions, regardless of social class, was attributed to the mother as the patron of hearth and home, the first teacher of the mother tongue and the principles of the faith. Education in the family was to supplement or replace education in the state schools of the partition powers. The described model of the family was subject to alterations along with the civilizational and socio-economic changes that were taking place already during the early decades of the 20th century.

The residence presented in this paper, namely the palace and park complex in Siemianowice Śląskie, is one of the most valuable monuments of this Upper Silesian town. Located in the town centre, it has had a well-deserved reputation for a number of years, still being among the elite places of interest in the local area. Throughout the time, the palace with the surrounding park have undergone a number of transformations that have influenced its contemporary state of maintenance, either directly or indirectly. The present study aims to analyse and assess the outcome of those transformations. The results of the study will be used to evaluate the present technical condition of the palace, as well as to draw conclusions as to the architectural and social challenges that the complex is facing nowadays.

The discussion on the functioning of the modern family hasn’t become weaker for the last years – although its meaning has been emphasized, a threat to realization of its upbringing‑care function has been simultaneously pointed out. Young people decide to start a family but very often they aren’t prepared for the challenges which are put by a society. It concerns particularly the parental function – more and more children need a foster family which will surround them most of all with love and provide a feeling of security. Does the functioning in a foster family differ from the life in a family of origin? If positive, what should be done to minimize these differences? Is it possible at all? Finally – is there a difference in realization of the education‑care function between “yesterday” and “today”? The article will try to give an answer for the outlined questions.

It is difficult to imagine socio-economic relations without property. Ownership can be understood differently: narrowly – as a right within the meaning of civil law and broadly – as in fact any right belonging to a person that together with other rights forms property of this person. Therefore, ownership is of interest to almost all branches of law, including constitutional law. As a consequence, ownership can be regarded as a single right, especially within the meaning of the Civil Code, or as institution that includes ownership rights and associated obligations. Nowadays, these obligations become more and more important because property is regarded as a social function and not only as an absolute right of the owner. The social perspective of ownership makes the property differentiated by its object. In this way various legal regimes of ownership are created, including agricultural property of great social significance. Agricultural property is a basic element of the agricultural system that is constitutionally based on a family farm. The state, shaping the agricultural system in the assumed way, regulates the agricultural system accordingly. This is done, among others, by the Act of 2003 on the shaping of the agricultural system that also defines a family farm. However, the Act, contrary to its title, regulates only the transfer of ownership of agricultural lands and farms. The provisions of the Act raise serious objections both in terms of assumptions and in terms of applied legal solutions. The source of these defective regulations, after the transformation of the political system at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s, is a fact that in Poland the model of the agricultural system has never been developed.

Niniejszy artykuł jest pokłosiem prowadzonych badań na próbie N = 524 studentów kilku uczelni ekonomicznych w Polsce. Prezentowane wyniki są częścią większego projektu dotyczącego funkcjonowania psychospołecznego młodych ludzi deklarujących założenie własnej działalności gospodarczej po ukończeniu studiów. Zaprezentowano w nim wyniki dotyczące sytuacji rodzinnej badanych w kontekście ryzyka wystąpienia zaburzeń emocjonalnych i psychicznych. Uzyskane dane wskazują, iż ze wzrostem zagrożenia wystąpieniem zaburzeń emocjonalnych i psychicznych wśród osób badanych powiązane są: nadużywanie i uzależnienie od alkoholu w rodzinach badanych, uzależnienie od pracy w rodzinach badanych, obecność chorób psychicznych wśród najbliższych krewnych, a także pojawiająca się w rodzinie przemoc fizyczna i psychiczna. Autorzy omawiają możliwe rozwiązania do zastosowania w środowisku akademickim związane z prewencją zaburzeń psychicznych oraz ze specjalistyczną pomocą psychologiczną, wskazując na rolę poprawy systemu edukacji w uczelniach wyższych odnośnie do całościowego podejścia do rozwoju studentów.
This paper represents the outcome of research conducted on a sample of N = 524 university economics students in Poland. The presented results are part of a more extensive study on the psychosocial functioning of young people declaring an intention to set up their own business upon graduation. The paper presents results related to the family situation of the studied individuals and its impact on the risk of emotional and mental disorders. Received data point to the following factors

Cel. Ukazanie zmienności form realizacji funkcji rodziny określanej jako kulturotwórcza, przy zachowaniu jej roli we wprowadzaniu młodego pokolenia w uczestnictwo w kulturze. Metoda. Analiza zmienności form realizacji funkcji wprowadzania w kulturę zastaną otoczenia społecznego oraz w szersze kręgi kulturowe; wskazywanie na wartości uniwersalne w kształtowaniu osobowości kulturowej. Wnioski. Funkcja zwana kulturotwórczą jest w rodzinie przede wszystkim funkcją inkulturacyjną. Rodzina pełni misję wprowadzania w świat wartości kulturowych wobec jednostki i grupy.
Aim. Presentation of variability of the forms of the family function realization, defined as the culture-creating one while maintaining its role in introducing the young generation to the participation in culture. Method. Analysis of differing forms of the realization of the function of introducing culture into the existing social environment and into wider cultural circles, pointing to the universal values in the formation of cultural personality. Conclusions. The function called culture-formation is, in the family, primarily an inculturation function. The family performs a mission of introduction the world of cultural values to the individual and the group.

Dalszy wzrost liczby mieszkańców Krakowa w XXI wieku, przyczynił się do ponownego skierowania uwagi inwestorów na te obszary. Obecnie tereny te są intensywnie zabudowywane. W niektórych rejonach tempo rozwoju infrastruktury drogowej i usługowej jest wolniejsze niż budowa obiektów mieszkaniowych. Tendencję tę widać w Piaskach Nowych, których funkcjonowanie opiera się głównie na ubiegłowiecznej infrastrukturze. Istotne stało się zbadanie form występujących w osiedlach, ich funkcji i potencjału, co pozwoli prowadzić skuteczną politykę przestrzenną w ich obrębie. Artykuł charakteryzuje formy architektoniczne, układy oraz podstawowe funkcje zespołów mieszkaniowych powstałych w latach 1999–2019 w Piaskach Nowych i Kurdwanowie Nowym. Wykonane badania wykazały, że oba osiedla mają predyspozycję do bycia atrakcyjnymi miejscami zamieszkania. Przyczyniają się do tego istniejące zaplecze usług publicznych oraz rozwijające się usługi prywatne. Ważnym czynnikiem jest też położenie miedzy III i IV obwodnicą Krakowa. Analiza form architektonicznych uwidoczniła zmiany w sposobie kształtowania zabudowy – zauważalna jest tendencja do upraszczania brył. Przedstawione realizacje pokazują, że uproszczenie nie jest jednak równoznaczne z końcem możliwości w kreowaniu form. Jest jedynie drogą do nowych rozwiązań.
Piaski Wielkie and Kurdwanów are former suburbs of Krakow. Over the past half century their space has been changed significantly. The first modifications took place in the 1970s and 1980s. The Piaski Nowe and Kurdwanów Nowy estates were built during this time. In the twenty-first century, the number of inhabitants of Krakow has been constantly increasing. As a result, the attention of real estate developers is once again focused on the regions. At present, these areas are intensively built-up. In some regions, the speed of development of road and service infrastructure is slower than the construction of residential buildings. This tendency can be seen in Piaski Nowe. Last-century projects are the main basis for the functioning of this complex. It is important to determine the forms found in these housing estates, their functions and potential. The results of the research will contribute to effective spatial policy. The article characterises architectural forms, spatial structures and basic functions of housing complexes built in the years 1999–2019 in Piaski Nowe and Kurdwanów Nowy. The research has showed that both estates have a predisposition to be attractive places to live. This fact is supported by existing public service facilities and developing private services. The location between the third and fourth Krakow ring road is also an important factor. An analysis of architectural forms has revealed changes in the way how the buildings are formed. There is a tendency to simplify building massings. The presented projects show that simplification is not synonymous with the end of potential for creating forms. It is just a path to new solutions.
