Opis:
In cryptography, sequences of numbers with unpredictable elements are often required. Such sequences should pass all known statistical tests for random sequences. Because sequences produced in real circuits are biased, they do not pass many statistical tests, e.g., the distribution of numbers is not uniform. Such random number sequences should be subjected to a transformation called post-processing. In this paper, a true random number generator is considered. It uses ring oscillators and the Keccak hash function as post-processing. This paper presents only simulation conditions for this approach since the post-processing part was done using x86 architecture on a PC.

In the paper, the variation of the intensity of the geomagnetic field force is analysed in time and space. For the research, the data from measurements of the intensity of the geomagnetic field force at four airports (Kaunas, Klaipéda, Palanga and Vilnius) and 6 geomagnetic field repeat stations as well as the data from Belsk Magnetometric Observatory (Poland) were used. For the data analysis, the theory of covariance functions was applied. The estimates of the cross-covariance functions of the measured intensity of the geomagnetic field force or the estimates of auto-covariance functions of single data were calculated according to the random functions created from the force intensity measurement data arrays. The estimates of covariance functions were calculated upon varying the quantization interval on the time scale and applying the software created using Matlab package of procedures. The impact of radars of airports on the intensity of geomagnetic field variation and on changes of their covariance functions was established.

Objectives: The brick field industry is one of the oldest industries in India, which employs a large number of workers of poor socioeconomic status. The main aim of the present investigation is i) to determine the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders among brick field workers, ii) to determine the prevalence of respiratory disorders and physiological stress among brick field workers compared to control workers. Material and Methods: For this study, a total of 220 brick field workers and 130 control subjects were selected randomly. The control subjects were mainly involved in hand-intensive jobs. The Modified Nordic Questionnaire was applied to assess the discomfort felt among both groups of workers. Thermal stress was also assessed by measuring the WBGT index. The pulmonary functions were checked using the spirometry. Physiological assessment of the workload was carried out by recording the heart rate and blood pressure of the workers prior to work and just after work in the field. Results: Brick field workers suffered from pain especially in the lower back (98%), hands (93%), knees (86%), wrists (85%), shoulders (76%) and neck (65%). Among the brick-making activities, brick field workers felt discomfort during spading for mud collection (98%), carrying bricks (95%) and molding (87%). The results showed a significantly lower p value < 0.001 in FVC, FEV₁, FEV₁/FVC ratio and PEFR in brick field workers compared to the control group. The post-activity heart rate of the brick field workers was 148.6 beats/min, whereas the systolic and diastolic blood pressure results were 152.8 and 78.5 mm/Hg, respectively. Conclusions: This study concludes that health of the brick field workers was highly affected due to working in unhealthy working conditions for a long period of time.

In this paper, we study the behaviour of compact relativistic objects with charged anisotropic matter distribution considering modified Tolman IV type potential for the gravitational potential Z(x) which depends on an adjustable parameter α and a particular form of the metric function y(x) used by Malaver (2009). The Einstein-Maxwell fields equations are integrated analytical and we obtain the radial pressure, energy density, charge density, anisotropy and the mass function. A physical analysis of electromagnetic field indicates that is regular at the origin and well behaved. The new stellar models satisfies all physical properties in a realistic star for any value of the adjustable parameter.

The paper compares heating curves for a rectangular busbar in the conditions of convective and adiabatic heat transfer during short-circuit heating. Different coefficients of heat transfer from the external surface of the busbar and different busbar cross-sections have been assumed. This has allowed determining the error value occurring when the adiabatic rather than convective boundary condition is presumed at short circuit. The analysis takes into account a change of resistivity in the temperature function. The respective boundary-initial problems have been solved with analytical methods using Green’s function. The calculated results show that no considerable errors occur for long-lasting short circuits with an adiabatic rather than convective boundary condition.

The aim of this research is to use a simple acoustic method of a very near field recording, which enables measurement and display of oscillation modes, to estimate the velocity of flexural waves, based on the wavelengths of standing waves measured on the sample. The paper analyses cases of 1D geometry, flexural waves that occur on a beam excited by an impulse. Measurements were conducted on two different samples: steel and a wooden beam of the same length. Due to the appearance of evanescent waves at the boundary regions, the distance between the nodes of standing waves that occur deviates from half the wavelength, which can be compensated using a correction factor. Cases of fixed and free boundary conditions were analysed. By quantifying how much the boundary conditions change the mode shape function, it can be predicted how the mode of oscillation changes if the boundary conditions change, which can also find application in musical acoustics and sound radiation analysis.

The article presents the results of approximation calculations of the vacuum field hydrodynamic around the ship, calculated by finite element method. The control points in the middle panels distributed on the hull of the ship, on the surface of the seabed and the free surface singularities are placed in the form of spatial resources and discounts, or dipoles. Presented results of the calculations have been obtained using this first singularity. Then, using the observed field properties proposed approximation of hydrodynamic pressure distribution functions: polynomial of the ninth grade after the ship's length and the width of the exponential function, which can significantly reduce the amount of numbers needed to describe the field. For a given depth to about 20, and the entire field space can be described in a matrix of approximately 200 numbers.

An embedded time interval data acquisition system (DAS) is developed for zero power reactor (ZPR) noise experiments. The system is capable of measuring the correlation or probability distribution of a random process. The design is totally implemented on a single Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). The architecture is tested on different FPGA platforms with different speed grades and hardware resources. Generic experimental values for time resolution and inter-event dead time of the system are 2.22 ns and 6.67 ns respectively. The DAS can record around 48-bit x 790 kS/s utilizing its built-in fast memory. The system can measure very long time intervals due to its 48-bit timing structure design. As the architecture can work on a typical FPGA, this is a low cost experimental tool and needs little time to be established. In addition, revisions are easily possible through its reprogramming capability. The performance of the system is checked and verified experimentally.

Objective: Extensive use of mobile phones has been accompanied by a common public debate about possible adverse effects on human health. No study has been published so far to establish any association between the fastest growing innovation of mobile phone and fasting blood glucose. The aim was to determine the effects of exposure to electromagnetic field radiation generated by mobile phones on fasting blood glucose in Wistar Albino rats. Materials and Methods: 40 Male Albino rats (Wistar Strain) were divided into 5 equally numerous groups. Group A served as the control one, group B received mobile phone radiation for less than 15 min/day, group C: 15-30 min/day, group D: 31-45 min/day, and group E: 46-60 min/day for a total period of 3 months. Fasting blood glucose was determined by using Spectrophotometer and serum insulin by Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The Homeostatic Model (HOMA-B) was applied for the assessment of β-cell function and (HOMA-IR) for resistance to insulin. Results: Wister Albino rats exposed to mobile phone radiation for longer than 15 min a day for a total period of 3 months had significantly higher fasting blood glucose (p < 0.015) and serum insulin (p < 0.01) compared to the control group. HOMA-IR for insulin resistance was significantly increased (p < 0.003) in the groups that were exposed for 15-30 and 46-60 min/day compared to the control rats. Conclusion: The results of the present study show an association between long-term exposure to activated mobile phones and increase in fasting blood glucose and serum insulin in Albino rats.

In the paper some investigations are presented aiming to check the influence of IC floor plan and the circuit function on its electromagnetic emissions. As the test vehicle Xilinx FPGA XCV800 type was used, in which two types of multiplicators were implemented. To compare the effects, high frequency currents in supply and ground pins of the circuits as well as near field disturbances were measured over the circuits.

Celem badań była ocena dwóch grup gospodarstw specjalizujących się w produkcji roślinnej w zależności od salda emisji gazów cieplarnianych z gleby. Pierwszą grupę gospodarstw stanowiły gospodarstwa z ujemnym saldem emisji gazów cieplarnianych z gleby, natomiast drugą grupę gospodarstwa z saldem dodatnim. Następnie analizie porównawczej poddano ich potencjał produkcyjny, strukturę produkcji, efektywność ekonomiczną oraz nasilenie inwestycyjne. Do realizacji tak rozumianego celu wykorzystano dane empiryczne z gospodarstw specjalizujących się w produkcji roślinnej, które prowadziły nieprzerwanie rachunkowość rolną dla potrzeb Polskiego FADN w latach 2005-2010. Stwierdzono, że gospodarstwa z ujemnym saldem emisji gazów cieplarnianych z gleby w porównaniu z gospodarstwami z saldem dodatnim były w lepszej sytuacji ekonomicznej i charakteryzowały się większym nasileniem inwestycyjnym.
The aim of analysis was attempt assessment two groups farms with field crops depending on balance of emission warming gases from soil. First group contained farms with negative balance of emission warming gases from soil while second group of farms contained farms with positive balance of emission warming gases from soil. Comparative analysis concerned their production potential and structure, economic effectiveness and intensification of investment. In this purpose used empirical data from farms with field crops which collect accountancy data for Polish FADN. It has been found that farms with negative balance of emission warming gases achieve better economic situation and larger intensification of investment than other farms.

The problems of determining instrumental errors of navigation accelerometer metrological model's coefficients determination by its calibration on an uniaxial swivel stand and ensuring the specified accuracy of the calibration were considered. Analytical expressions for calculating appropriate identification errors and conditions for the calibration equipment the implementation of which provides the desired accuracy of the accelerometer calibration were gained. Adequacy of those expressions and conditions by calibrating a navigation accelerometer of a real inertial navigation system was experimentally confirmed. Praca skupia się na wyznaczeniu błędów instrumentalnych wyznaczania współczynników nieliniowego modelu pomiarowego akcelerometru nawigacyjnego podczas kalibracji na jednoosiowym stoisku obrotowym, ponadto zapewnieniu zadanej dokładności powyższej kalibracji. Otrzymano wzory analityczne do wyznaczenia odpowiednich odchyłek identyfikacji oraz wymagania dla stoiska pomiarowego, spełnienie których pozwoli na utrzymanie zadanej dokładności kalibracji akcelerometru. W drodze doświadczeń potwierdzono prawidłowość wyżej opisanych wzorów i wymagań, poprzez wykonanie kalibracji nawigacyjnego akcelerometru rzeczywistego inercyjnego systemu nawigacyjnego.
