The aim of a revitalization process is to bring down degraded areas from a state of crisis. This paper contains analysis of the cooperation of professionals representing various institutions, professions and sectors in the revitalization process. The text sets out what conditions should be fulfilled in order to make inter-sectoral cooperation contribute to achieving the key objectives of the revitalization process. The article contains information on the legal context of revitalization and optimal conditions for revitalization of crosssectoral cooperation.

W prezentowanej pracy zostały przedstawione wyniki badań stabilności w czasie i pod wpływem czynnika (promieniowanie elektromagnetyczne o długości fali λ = 660 nm) komponentu sieciującego warstw receptorowych biosensorów. Wykazano przyspieszone zmiany konformacyjne (przyspieszoną denaturację) pod wpływem czynnika zewnętrznego. Zauważono, że w badanym czasie (12 dni) największe zmiany stabilności następują między czwartym a ósmym dniem.
The manuscript presents the research on stability over time and under the influence of the factor (electromagnetic radiation with wavelength λ = 660 nm) on crosslinking component of biosensor receptor layers. Accelerated conformational changes (fast denaturization) under the influence of an external factor have been shown. It was noticed that in the examined time (12 days) the biggest changes of stability occur between the 4th and 8th day.

Opis:
In a field emission tube with two probe-holes the cross-correlation functions of current fluctuations from potassium submonolayers on tungsten have been investigated. The measurements were carried out in the temperature range of 290-430 K and with coverages between 0.05 and 0.87. The experimental correlation curves were approximated by a sum of three exponential functions revealing three components with different time constants τ$\text{}_{i}$ and amplitudes R. The temperature dependence of the amplitudes R$\text{}_{2}$ and R$\text{}_{3}$ is discussed in terms of collective flip-flop processes.

Opis:
Entering and staying on in the field or rather avoiding being kicked out are the two classic ethnographic challenges. The rather positivist nature of textbook guidance on dos and don’ts in fieldwork in general and in delicate issues in particular (for researchers` dilemmas in the field see Ryen 2002), tend to recommend a gentle, middle-class (rather female) interactional style. This gaze suffers from being both researcher-focused (cf.Fine 1994 on “Othering”) and based on problematic pre-fixed identities nailing us to the role pair as researcher and key informant. As the introductory extract illustrates, it takes patience also to have an ethnographer “hanging around”. This article deals with the credibility of qualitative research when accounting for or exploring how we do staying in the cross-cultural field and it asks how can we credibly explore the stamina that takes us further? If we accept fieldwork as social interaction, we need to bring the social (or the “inter”) of it into the exploration of our puzzle. Membership categorisation device (MCD) offers to take us closer to understanding and piecing together our puzzle, but to better get at the events taking place in field interaction there is a need also to introduce the wider cultural context and the images available (or not) to members. In this way I recognise the ethnomethodological differentiation between topic and resource, but argue that when understandings and images are not necessarily culturally shared and collective, we also need to make problematic how members deal with the unavailability of shared images. In the conclusion I argue that the artful side of the local interpretive work in the field is closely entangled with whatever meanings or images are available for construction (in line with Gubrium and Holstein 1997:121). In cross-cultural contexts more than in others, this is particularly delicate because in such contexts images and experiences often do not connect and may lead to complications or even breakdown in communication (Ryen 2002). Mending or repair thus becomes another crucial phenomenon, itself complex, in the evolving field relations. The analysis thus pinpoints the artistry of members` local collaborative efforts accentuated when constrained by images or descriptions that do not connect across cultures. This makes stamina a joint effort, though itself an intricate, emergent phenomenon. Next I will briefly introduce a couple of classic works on working with key informants followed by a brief presentation of the analytic approaches to be applied to my data from East- Africa. Before concluding, I will comment on “wading the field” as reflected in the close exploration of the cross-cultural extracts.

This paper describes a series of pile tests in sand. T-cross and square cross section piles were jacking by static vertical load with a vibration. Special tests were carried out to examine the influence of T-cross section pile form on it bearing capacity, and the results of comparison bearing capacity on one cub meter of T-cross and square cross section jacking piles in the same ground conditions are described. The jacking vertical static load, sizes of displacements and compaction zones of a ground around a shaft of the experienced piles were investigated.
W artykule opisano serię testów pali w glebach piaszczystych. Pale o przekroju teowym i kwadratowego były obciążane pionową siłą statyczną z wibracją. W badaniach testowano wpływ formy teowych pali na ich nośność, oraz opisano rezultaty porównania nośności w przeliczeniu na metr sześcienny betonu użytego do wykonania pali przekroju teowym i kwadratowym. Mierzono wartość siły wbijającej, przemieszczenia pala i zagęszczenie gruntu przy trzonie badanych pali.

The well-known fossiliferous and lithologically variable clay-carbonate series in the Łysogóry Region (northern part of the Holy Cross Mts, central Poland), enclosed between the Middle Devonian Amphipora dolomites and limestones (Kowala Formation) and siliciclastics (Świętomarz Beds), is defined formally as the Shaly-Calcareous Skały Formation. This Upper Eifelian to Middle Givetian, ca. 250–280 m thick unit, consists of marly and clay shales, interbedded many times with various limestone types (including encrinite and biohermal varieties), as well as with marls and siltstones. Its diagnostic feature is the presence of variable skeletal accumulations, formed by exceptionally numerous, well-preserved and diverse macrofauna (including brachiopods, corals, crinoids, bryozoans), described since the 19th century. The stratotype is located in the eastern slope of the Dobruchna stream near the Skały village and belongs to the Silurian to Upper Devonian Grzegorzowice-Skały section. Compared to the previously used term, Skały Beds sensu Pajchlowa (1957), the lower boundary is redefined, owing to a new exposure in the active Skała Quarry, and placed higher, at the base of the famous brachiopod shales (set XIV of Pajchlowa), instead of the formerly accepted lower boundary at the base of set XIII. Set XIV is formally distinguished as the Dobruchna Brachiopod Shale Member. The higher part of the Skały Fm (sets XV–XXVA) is not subdivided further, as the poorly exposed succession, including in particular the type area, precludes a more accurate recognition of lithological variability. The upper boundary of the Skały Fm is placed at the top of set XXV sensu Pajchlowa (1957), corresponding to the boundary between subsets XXVA and XXVB sensu Malec and Turnau (1997). A hypostratotype of the upper boundary is selected in the outcrop M0 at Miłoszów, 2.5 km westwards from the type section, allowing recognition of the diachroneity of lithological change defining the transition from the Skały Fm to Świętomarz Beds. A borehole situated in a key location would be an obvious next step in the further elucidation of the stratigraphic sequence of the Łysogóry Region.

The eigenfunctions of the Laplace operator were determined analytically, whereas the coefficients of the eigenfunctions were obtained numerically. The cooling was modeled with 3rd kind (Hankel’s) boundary condition, where the total heat transfer coefficient was the sum of the convective and radiative components. The method was used to analyze the thermal field in an elliptical conductor and a dielectrically heated elliptical column. The basic parameters of these systems, i.e. their steady-state current rating and the maximum charge temperature, were determined. The results were verified using the finite element method and have been presented graphically.

The article is focused on the cooperation between Czech and Bavarian faculties educating future teachers. The process of studying education in Bavaria is briefly introduced. By comparing the Bavarian way of educating teachers in Bavaria and in the Czech Republic, our view on the cooperation, which was from the geographical point of view suitable for further research cooperation for our faculty, is negative. The way of education is so different and it is not possible to expand our cooperation into a bigger dimension. For the future, the possibility is open just for very specific topics.

Hypotheses on the trace and nature of the SW margin of the East European Craton (EEC) are reviewed. As new geophysical data was acquired, the location of the EEC margin was repeatedly revised.Magnetic anomalies associated with the SWpart of the EEC and their relationship with the contact zone between the EEC and the Palaeozoic Platform are described. Based on an analysis of magnetic anomalies, seismic cross-sections, the LT-7, P1, P2 and P4 wide-angle reflection and refraction profiles, and the results of recent geothermal modeling, the geometry of the contact zone between the EEC and the Palaeozoic Platform in NW Poland has been redefined. Three important boundaries are distinguished, namely the Teisseyre-Tornquist Line marking the SW limit of the EEC at upper and middle crustal levels, the SW margin of the West Pomeranian Magnetic Anomaly that delimits the NE extension of the reversely magnetised lower crust of the Palaeozoic Platform, and the SWtermination of the high velocity lower crust of the EEC. These boundaries and their characteristics reflect the tectonic complexity of the SW margin of the EEC in its Polish sector.

Badano rozpylacze płaskostrumieniowe powszechnie użytkowane przez rolników. Oceniono wpływ zużycia rozpylaczy oraz ich położenie na belce polowej opryskiwacza na współczynnik nierównomierności rozkładu opadu rozpylonej cieczy (Cv). Stwierdzono wpływ ustawienia rozpylaczy na belce polowej na wartość współczynnika Cv. Ponadto wzrost natężenia wypływu cieczy z rozpylaczy nie zawsze powoduje pogorszenie współczynnika rozkładu opadu rozpylonej cieczy Cv.
Fan atomizers commonly used by farmers were put to tests. The analysis involved assessment of the effect of atomizers wear and their position at spraying machine field beam on sprayed liquid fall peaking factor (Cv). It has been proved that atomizers position at field beam affects the Cv factor value. Moreover, increase in intensity of liquid flow out of atomizers not always results in deterioration of the sprayed liquid fall peaking factor Cv.
