W opracowaniu poddano analizie wybrane zasoby sieciowe, z których część została przy-gotowana specjalnie do zastosowań edukacyjnych. Pozostałe omówione zasoby, chociaż nie zostały przygotowane z myślą o edukacji mogą z powodzeniem pełnić takie funkcje. Na tle istniejących sieciowych zasobów edukacyjnych pokazano stopień zainteresowania nimi nauczycieli i uczniów.
The study analyzed selected network resources, some of which were prepared specifically for educational applications. Other discussed resources, although not prepared for education, can successfully perform such functions. Against the background of existing network educational resources, the degree of interest of teachers and students was shown.

Ageing process of societies is known to have been a global problem of contemporary World, furthermore the most serious socioeconomic challenge facing governments of plenty of countries. The indicated changes can be analysed twofold: from so called apocalyptic perspective – ageing of societies as a jeopardy for market development and also from foresight perspective – demographic changes being a chance which is necessary to be prepared for. The aim of the article is to focus an attention that so called silver market should be considered in a broaden way not only as a possibility to use purchasing power of seniors but also as potential workers commanding social capital.
Proces starzenia się społeczeństw został uznany za globalny problem współczesnego świata, a zarazem najpoważniejsze wyzwanie społeczno-gospodarcze, stojące przed rządami państw. Zasygnalizowane zmiany można analizować dwojako: z tzw. perspektyw apokaliptycznej – starzenia się społeczeństw jako zagrożenia dla rozwoju gospodarczego, oraz z perspektywy dalekowzroczności – świadomość zmian demograficznych daje szansę, aby się na nie przygotować. Celem artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi, że pojęcie tzw. srebrnej gospodarki należy traktować szerzej – nie tylko jako możliwość wykorzystania siły nabywczej seniorów, ale również jako potencjalnych pracowników, dysponujących pokaźnym kapitałem społecznym.

The article contains deliberations on the subject of adult learning as a result of breaking points in people’s lives. It is based on Fritz Schütze and Gerhard Riemann’s concept of the trajectory, trying to show the educational potential of critical life events. The paper constitutes an illustration about learning and biography. The analysis concerns an individual who experienced domestic violence, was separated from her family of origin by being placed in a care and educational institution, whose life was additionally complicated by teenage pregnancy and motherhood. The analysis of the narrative makes it possible to see two dimensions of the relationship between learning and biography – learning from the experiences we face during life and biographical learning (or learning from a biography).

In the article below, We explore the level of strategies of modern youth, in the context of various ways of adapting to school and being a student in schools of diverse educational potential. For research purposes, We have used an original, five-stage scale to measure student strategies. We developed the scaled based on the Theory of Social Adaptation by R. K. Merton. Adaptation can be implemented through attitudes of conformity, innovation, ritualism, retreatism and rebellion. The analysis presented is part of a larger project on youth adaptation strategies. The results obtained show the differences in the occurrence of strategies in different types of schools.

The article presents the main assumptions of the project “Bytom school = assurance and guarantee of high-quality education” and attempts to assess the effectiveness of activities implemented during the school year. The presented project evaluation results were obtained from pupils and teachers of one of the primary schools. The analysis of the research material allowed to exhibit the short-term goals achieved, as well as the factors positively and negatively affecting the quality of the activities implemented. The reflections/recommendations from the explorations conducted will allow to direct further work in order to achieve the project’s objectives to a greater degree.

The article describes quantitative changes in the educational area of the Polish borderland, based on the examples of Nysa, Prudnik, and Głubczyce districts. The demographic data, unfavorable for entire Poland, in the borderland regions are additionally burdened with migration from peripheral communes. It is reflected in the functioning of educational institutions. The analysis of the educational potential of the border areas based on data from the three districts indicates alarming demographic forecasts announcing their depopulation. Breaking that process seems impossible without external support. Thanks to co-financing under efficiently implemented EU projects, and, above all, the work of local leaders, many interesting initiatives were implemented to improve the quality of life in the border areas and their tourist attractiveness, which also gives hope for an economic revival. A positive aspect is that with the decreasing number of students, the number of departments also decreases, which gives hope for a better quality of care, upbringing, and education. However, the data show that reversing the negative trends requires great commitment.

Opis:
Current need of the social integration of people with a handicap, either physical, social, or other, finds significant professional response in a field of pre-school and elementary education. In the accordance with the request of holistic child's personality development (harmonious integration of its cognitive, social-emotional, and perceptual-motoric areas) the education by art seems to be helpful and effective in removing barriers and deepening child's skills to understand and respect the otherness and also as one of the effective ways leading to the social acceptation and inclusion of people with some kind of a handicap. Paper deals with the possibilities of educational use of illustrated books for children and youth, which thematize one of the handicap types – visual impairment. It roots from the assumption of high effectivity of the experiential methods (“through personal experience to understanding”) and examines inclusive thinking formation options and attitudes of intact pupils through experiential activities, which use illustrated books thematizing blindness. Solution of the issue comes from the analysis and comparison of the poethological aspects of artistic expression of such handicap in concrete book titles. There are compared artistic-expressive and receptive specifics of various illustrative approaches, particularly their aesthetic-experiential potential – extent of possible sensor, emotional, and cognitive experiences, which offer various modalities of the illustrative rendering of visual impairment to the child's recipient. The same attention is given to their ethical and axiological reflection. In the context of these findings, there are defined paradigmatic differences between the books illustrated in traditional ways and artistically experimental books. Following this, there are outlined alternative models of the didactical application of the issue.

The paper examines the “educational potential” of Poland’s university-level schools. The authors analyze the main trends in the education system’s development and identify regional differences in this area. The starting point for the analysis are the theories of human capital and endogenous growth. They highlight the importance of human capital investments in the education system and their role in the country’s economic growth. The authors build taxonomic indicators to describe the condition and prospects of college education in individual regions. Analyses made as part of the research project show that Poland’s higher education system underwent some significant changes during the country’s transition from central planning to a market economy. There are also major differences between public and private universities in their educational strategies. Public colleges often use different standards of education, while private schools rarely develop cost-intensive programs. Poland’s higher education system is strongly diversified regionally. Taxonomic analyses confirm that there are major differences in educational opportunities in individual regions. Mazovia and Western Pomerania provinces led the way in this area in 1999-2005, while regions such as Opole, Warmia-Mazuria, Lubuskie, Podkarpacie, and Kujawy-Pomerania lagged behind.

Opis:
Through the tabular morphology of northwestern part of the Middle-Atlas in Morocco, numerous uncovered monogenetic volcanoes arise structured of pyroclastic product layers and lava flows. Our fieldwork results witness a wide-ranging volcanic shape spectrum, as cones, maars, tuff-rings, and cone-maar mixes, generally associated with a later lava flow discharge that could develop many surfaces and appearances. There are withal sundry eruptive products such as pahoehoe lava, scoria, tuff, lapilli, peperites, base-surges, bombs, etc. This monogenetic volcanic field of practically 1000 km2 offers remarkable eruptive landforms, referred to as the largest, and the youngest volcanic field in Morocco, which consists of a large area within the Ifrane National Park. This fieldwork study provides a renewed volcanic geomorphological classification table and GIS data to be used by a wide public range for both educational and geo-touristic interest and access effectively to such a high-mountain natural museum. In the event that these volcanic structures were appropriately dealt with, the high educational scientific content and the notable touristic vocation would almost certainly create business openings and new financial wages for neighborhood populaces. This work focuses to share our outcomes and emphases the scientific value about the monogenetic volcanic field around the tabular Middle-Atlas in Morocco.
