Opis:
This article deals with the determination of the stages of development of Ukrainian industries with regard to the factors driving innovation. Based on an analysis of literary sources carried out, the most common indicators of the stages of development of industries have been identified, and it is proposed to classify them into structural, volumetric, dynamic, and innovation ones, given the specificity of the relevant statistical data regarding Ukraine. Calculations have shown that most industries are in a declining phase in terms of the majority of volumetric and innovation criteria. In some industries there are positive trends to intensify the innovation activity of businesses, while the chemical and engineering industries, which have the highest level of technological development, are in a decline phase.

Opis:
From the middle of the 16th century, when the first edition of Giorgio Vasari's Lives of the Most Eminent Painters, Sculptors, and Architects appeared, until the threshold of modernity, the unusually influential conceptions concerning the development of art contained in the book, albeit criticized from various angles, were not in fact undermined as far as their foundations are concerned. Nevertheless, the 17th and 18th century Italian artistic historiography, as one that was formed in a different context and tried to describe and indicate the origin of art created by artists who started setting different goals, differed from the 16th century art in many details. They are shown in the article by confronting Vasari’s ideas with the visions of art presented by his great successors: Gian Pietro Bellori in his Lives of the Artists (1672) and Luigi Lanzi’s History of Painting in Italy; From the Period of the Revival of the Fine Arts to the End of the Eighteenth Century (1796). Special attention is paid to the changing conception of art, the changing artistic ideas and the historical awareness that was being born, leaning towards reformulating the time-honored vision of history.

Opis:
The article is focussed on the so-called traditional system of functioning of the socialist economy discussed against the background of data concerning the Polish economy. The performed analysis of empiric al data about Poland's economic development over the years 1950-1980 has al lowed to determine the elements which behaved in a very specific way in the period under study. Division of the analyzed three decades into particular phases, according to trends in the shares of production investments in the national income, reveals that other magnitudes, and primarily growth rate of capital stock and its productivity, as well as labour productivity, were also behaving in a way specific for them in these subperiods. The author makes an attempt to explain this cyclical feature on the basis of interrelationships between the system of the economy's functioning and the economic polic of the central organs. Mutual impact of these two elements on each other may generate different types of the economic development. However, the cyclical development appears to be most probable, which was fully confirmed by the experience of the thirty years.

Opis:
The article takes up discourse on the development of the career theory that demands taking into account multicontextual changes in the world of work that pose new challenges for women. The subjective shading of the career phenomenon that treats career as an individual’s "property" was clearly stressed. When analysing individual paths of career development for both women and men it is necessary to take its wide scope of conditions into account, as well as inquire into semantic meanings assigned to the reality by the subject in order to interpret and understand past and new experiences. The focus on professional behaviours among women led to considerations on the change of the career concept in its general sense and meaning. Literature on the subject consistently underlines that career patterns will be less and less of a linear character, and more frequently of a sequential and cyclical one. The increase in the role assigned to career forces one to approach it within the category of professional identity development, planning and management skills, and the ability of monitoring one’s career in a lifelong perspective.
