Биографическая информация пополняется элементами найденными в написанной от руки биографии из коллекции Хенрыка Верценскего, которая находится в Воеводской Публичной Библиотеке им. Х. Лопацинского.
    This article presents a profile of Ludomir Cywiński – a participant in many skirmishes and clashes in the areas of Sandomierz and Kraków provinces in the course of the January Uprising. The biographical information taken from numerous historical sources is complemented by the author with information from the handwritten life history from the collection of Henryk Wiercieński kept by the Hieronim Łopaciński Regional Public Library in Lublin.

    In this article the results of a study on the possibility of verifying the potential employee’s CV by the employer were presented. This survey covered the entire Poland and was conducted on a sample of 526 cities and municipalities offices by using the mystery client technique – a person contacting the office presented herself as a employee in a non-existent company and asked for verification whether the fictional candidate underwent the student internship at the given institution. In 84.4% of the cases it was possible to get a true information. In 3% of the cases employees of offices stated that the candidate had undergone practice at their office, 15 of them told researchers that superiors were satisfied with her work. In other cases it was unable to get an answer – because of the refusal to answer, lack of information, lack of opportunity to contact with a competent person because of her absence in the next seven days or not obtaining desired information in spite of making 10 calls. On the base of the conducted study it was found that the employer usually has the possibility of verifying the candidate's CV and the procedure does not require too much. Therefore it was recommended that recruiters used this opportunity to employ the candidates with the greatest real experience.

    W artykule: Dziwne losy skarbu Henryka de Raësa w dobie „potopu szwedzkiego” i bezskuteczne próby jego odzyskania [„Barok” (Historia-Literatura-Sztuka), XV/1 (29) 2008, s. 71-87] skupiłem się na „fortunie” Henryka de Raësa, którą stracił w służbie u Bogusława Radziwiłła (1620-1669), koniuszego litewskiego i generalnego gubernatora Prus Książęcych. Na kanwie losów skarbu Henryka de Raësa rysuje się wzorcowy model kariery żołnierza cudzoziemskiego w nowożytnej Rzeczypospolitej. Ilustracją tego wzorca są dokumenty wydane w powyższym tekście. Można je umownie nazwać curriculum vitae Henryka de Raësa. Napisane zostały, jak same nazwy wskazują („pretensje” i „objaśnienie pretensji”) dla zaspokojenie roszczeń. Z uwagi na skąpe źródła, w dużej mierze artykuł w „Baroku” był oparty na hipotezach. Mając cały czas w pamięci ograniczoną wiarygodność źródła chcę dać czytelnikowi możliwość jego interpretacji. Dla ilustracji, do jakiego znaczenia doszła rodzina de Raësa w Wielkim Księstwie Litewskim, i to bez uzyskania indygenatu przez protoplastę rodu, we wstępie do wydawanych źródeł przestawione zostały koligacje i urzędy jakie pełnili ich przedstawiciele aż do wygaśnięcia gałęzi rodu w Rzeczypospolitej w początkach XIX w. Szerzej we wstępie do wydawanych źródeł zająłem się instytucją indygenatu dla oficerów cudzoziemskich służących w Rzeczypospolitej w okresie „potopu”.
    In the article “Strange Fate of the Treasury of Henry de Raës in the Era of the Swedish Deluge and the Unsuccessful Attempts to Regain It” [“Barok” (Historia–Literatura–Sztuka), XV/1 (29) 2008, pp. 71–87] the author focuses on the “fortune” of Henri de Raës, which was lost during his service for of Bogusław Radziwiłł (1620–1669), Lithuanian Master of the Horse (Equerry) and Governor General of Prussia. The fate of the treasury of Henry de Raes is an example of a standard model of foreign soldier’s career in the modern Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The source documents published in the article are an illustration of this career pattern and may be conventionally called curriculum vitae of Henry de Raës. These documents were created for settlement of claims what their titles indicate too (“claims” and “explanation of the claims”). The article in “Barok” was based largely on hypotheses taking into account the limited sources credibility. Bearing this in mind the author wants to give the reader possibility of his own interpretation. Kinship and offices that representatives of the de Raës family held till the early nineteenth century (when the line became extinct in Poland) are described in the introduction to the sources in order to illustrate the importance of what achieved the de Raës family without indigenatus being granted to the progenitor of the family in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. In the introduction to the sources the author deals with the denization of foreign officers serving in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth during “the Deluge”.

    In 2013 we celebrate the 45th anniversary of professor Czesław Domański’s academic work. The paper presents all fields of his academic career, including research, teaching, administration and activities outside the university. Professor Domański is the author or coauthor of almost 200 articles and 22 books in the field of mathematical statistics, financial statistics and risk theory. He acted as supervisor of numerous doctoral dissertations and master theses. Since the very beginning of his academic work he was connected with Lodz University, where he held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Economics and then the position of Vice-rector. He was awarded many prestigious prizes, distinctions and recognitions.

    The present work represents an extrapolation of W.I. Thomas and Florian Znaniecki’s study, The Polish Peasant in Europe and America, on behalf of the development of sociological theory. The article focuses on careers and institutions in higher education. The curriculum vitae serves as the novel human document by which to investigate both social and personal change. Academic careers are studied by virtue of their objective and subjective dimensions. Objectively, the institution of education is revealed through the shifting expectations that govern work in academia in specific historical times (indicated by the cohort in which academics earned their Ph.D.s) and in specific socially bound places (indicated by the type of university in which academics work). Major social change in education is likely to spell personal change for the way in which people subjectively experience the contemporary academic career. The data come from U.S.-based academics; parallel transformational changes are observable globally. The global change discussed in the work centres on the diffusion and institutionalization of the research role. The sources and consequences of this change are problematic. Akin to Thomas and Znaniecki’s larger analytic aims, patterns of change are used inductively to formulate theory: the paper culminates by postulating a theory of increasing tendencies in the way knowledge is produced in higher education institutions throughout the world.

    The article states that the four ancient Greek lives (A, B, C, D) contain extensive information about the life and activity of St. Theodore of Studios (759-826). The oldest one is Vita S. Theodori Studitae B which was published in 1853 by A. Mai. The document was written in c. 868 and its author was probably a monk Michael or another ascetic who lived in the Studios Monastery in Constantinople; Vita A, which is an extended version of Vita B, was published in 1696. His author was Theodore Daphnopates, who lived in the first half of the 10th century. Vita C (Vita S. Theodori Studitae in codice Mosquensi musei Rumianzoviani No 520) was published in 1915, but it dates back to the 12th century and it is similar in its content to Vita S. Theodori Studitae A and B. Vita D (Codex Monacensis No 467) was not yet published.

    El propósito de este artículo es el de analizar en qué medida el proceso de creciente autonomización institucional de la ciencia política brasileña llevó a una producción científica que le atribuya autonomía causal a la política. Para ello, analizamos un universo de 567 artículos publicados entre 2010 y 2012 en 23 revistas científicas nacionales, por autores que se autodeclararon como investigadores de temas políticos en la Plataforma Lattes del Consejo Nacional de Desarrollo Científico y Tecnológico (CNPq). Los datos nos permitieron obtener dos conclusiones generales: en primer lugar, que el proceso de autonomización institucional de la ciencia política en Brasil no suprimió una amplia producción académica orientada por cuestiones y métodos típicos de la sociología política; en segundo, que ese mismo proceso de institucionalización, sin embargo, derivó en la obtención de una mayor valoración académica de los artículos que utilizan problemas y métodos típicos de la ciencia política, siendo los artículos preferentemente publicados en las revistas más prestigiosas del área, según el ranking de la Coordinación de Perfeccionamiento del Personal de Nivel Superior (CAPES).ABSTRACTThe purpose of this article is to evaluate to what extent the increasing process of institutional autonomization of the Brazilian political science has led to a scientific production that assigns causal autonomy to political objects. In order to do that, we analyze 567 articles published between 2010 and 2012 in 23 national scientific journals by authors who declare themselves as researchers of political subjects in the Lattes electronic platform of curricula vitae hosted by CNPq. Our data allow for two general conclusions: firstly, the autonomization process of the Brazilian political science has not suppressed a large academic production oriented by typical research questions and methodologies of political sociology; secondly, this very process of autonomization, on the other hand, has reflected itself in the higher academic value of the articles which present research questions and methodologies identified with the mainstream political science. These articles are usually the ones published in the most prestigious journals of the area, according to Qualis ranking elaborated by the Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES).

    Wojskowa Służba Wewnętrzna Marynarki Wojennej funkcjonowała w ramach Szefostwa WSW latach 1957–1990. Była wojskową służbą specjalną o charakterze kontrwywiadowczo-porządkowym. W ciągu tego czasu kierowało nią pięciu szefów. Byli to: kmdr Mikołajczyk, kmdr por. Kiszczak, kmdr Krupa, kmdr Miernicki, kmdr Prokaziuk. Po transformacji ustrojowej w Polsce w 1990 r. Wojskowa Służba Wewnętrzna została rozwiązana w całym kraju.
    The Military Internal Service of the Navy functioned within the Headquarters of the Military Internal Service from 1957 to 1990. It was a military special service tasked with counterintelligence and policing activity. Between 1957 and 1990, the unit was headed in sequence by five commanding officers. These were: Cmdr Mikołajczyk, Cmdr Lieutenant Kiszczak, Cmdr Krupa, Cmdr Miernicki, Cmdr Prokaziuk. After the political transformation in Poland in 1990, the Military Internal Service was disbanded throughout the country.
