    The article relates to the problem of cultural heritage. States that education should focus on this in the light of modernization and building standard of multicultural society. The Author deliberates the needed changes in cultural awareness of individuals through changes in the relation individual – culture. In the time of modernity these relation was mediated by tradition of the group. In the postmodernity we observe straight relation. In this regard need to be discussed reality of heritage and concept of tradition. The article ends with analyses of cultural pluralism – multiculturality and tranculturality as terms which creates different socio – cultural standards and designs different relation: individual – culture.

    Opis:
    In this digital age large amounts of information, images and videos can be found in the web repositories which accumulate this information. These repositories include personal, historic, cultural, and business event images. Image mining is a limited field in research where most techniques look at processing images instead of mining. Very limited tools are found for mining these images, specifically 3D (Three Dimensional) images. Open source image datasets are not structured making it difficult for query based retrievals. Techniques extracting visual features from these datasets result in low precision values as images lack proper descriptions or numerous samples exist for the same image or images are in 3D. This work proposes an extraction scheme for retrieving cultural artefact based on voxel descriptors. Image anomalies are eliminated with a new clustering technique and the 3D images are used for reconstructing cultural artefact objects. Corresponding cultural 3D images are grouped for a 3D reconstruction engine’s optimized performance. Spatial clustering techniques based on density like PVDBSCAN (Particle Varied Density Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise) eliminate image outliers. Hence, PVDBSCAN is selected in this work for its capability to handle a variety of outliers. Clustering based on Information theory is also used in this work to identify cultural object’s image views which are then reconstructed using 3D motions. The proposed scheme is benchmarked with DBSCAN (Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise) to prove the proposed scheme’s efficiency. Evaluation on a dataset of about 31,000 cultural heritage images being retrieved from internet collections with many outliers indicate the robustness and cost effectiveness of the proposed method towards a reliable and just-in-time 3D reconstruction than existing state-of-the-art techniques.

    W artykule poruszone zostały fenomeny dojrzałości podmiotu w perspektywie przemijania będącego granicznym doświadczeniem podmiotu. Kanwą tekstu jest czas będący Lacanowskim symptomem dla podmiotu w jego poczuciu egzystencjalnego sensu, generując konieczność podejmowania indywidualnych strategii radzenia sobie ze starością. Ontologiczny i epistemologiczny wymiar tekstu oparty jest na narzędziach interpretacyjnych wywodzących się z psychoanalizy Jacques’a Lacana. Dojrzałość w warstwie interpretacyjnej osadzona została w Heideggerowskim rozumieniu ontologicznej „niededukcyjnej konstrukcji genealogii różnych możliwych rodzajów bycia” (Heidegger 1994: 16). Problematyzacja zagadnienia dojrzałości podmiotowej w aspekcie myślenia o przemijaniu, czasie i rozwoju wyznacza pytania o hermeneutyczne oraz dyskursywne źródła powstawania symptomu uruchamiającego graniczne doświadczenia podmiotu. Perspektywę interpretacyjną wyznacza założenie, że największą transformację kulturową można upatrywać w ujawniającym się wymuszaniu stosowania rozmaitych praktyk społecznych, sprowadzających działanie do strukturalizacji konkretnych założeń, celów i efektów. Współczesne myślenie o seniorach poddane zostało presji zmian mających zabarwienie rewolucji świadomościowej na poziomie aksjologicznym, wywłaszczanym przez pragmatyzm i użyteczność podmiotu sprowadzonego do narzędzia przynoszącego potencjalny zysk społeczny. Tekst w swej warstwie interpretacyjnej skonstruowany jest na kanwie dyskursu Jacques’a Lacana i odnosi się do takich kwestii jak: dialektyka języka, optyka widzenia, prymat znaczących nad podmiotem, podmiot jako „kulturowy artefakt”.
    This chapter deals with the issue of a subject’s maturation in the perspective of evanescence, which is that subject’s boundary experience. The main issue of this text is time as a Lacanian symptom of a sense of existential meaning, generating the need for individual coping strategies around ageing. Ontological and epistemological dimensions of this text are based on interpretative tools derived from Jacques Lacan’s psychoanalysis. Maturity in the interpretative layer was embedded in Heidegger’s understanding of the ontological “non-deductive construction of the genealogy of various possible types of being” (Heidegger 1994: 16). Problematization of the issue of subjective maturity in aspect of reflection about transience, time and subjective evolution pose questions regarding hermeneutical and discursive sources of symptom starting up boundary experience subject. The interpretative perspective is guided by the assumption that the greatest cultural transformation can be found in the enforcement of certain social practices, which boil the action down to the structure of specific assumptions, goals and effects. Contemporary thinking about seniors has been pressurized to undergo changes which appear to be tainted by a conscious revolution at the axiological level being ousted by pragmatics and usefulness of an agent, who is reduced to a tool generating potential social profit. On its interpretative layer, a text is constructed on the basis of Jacques Lacan's discourse and refers to such aspects as: dialectics of language, optics of vision, the primacy of the significant over an agent, and an agent as a “cultural artifact”.

    This paper reviews the contributions of Raman spectroscopy to the non-destructive characterisation of biological materials, including the sourcing of resins and the identification of biodegradation of art and archaeological artefacts. The advantages of Raman spectroscopy for non-destructive analysis are well-appreciated. However, the ability to record molecular information about organic and inorganic species present in a heterogeneous specimen at the same time, the insensitivity of the Raman scattering process to water and hydroxyl groups which re moves the necessity for sample desiccation, and the ease of illumination for samples of very small and very large sizes and unusual shapes are also apparent. Several examples are used to illustrate the application of Raman spectroscopic techniques to the characterisation of biomaterials and for the preservation of cultural heritage through case studies in the following areas: wall-paintings and rock art, human and animal tissues and skeletal remains, fabrics, resins and ivories.
    W artykule omówiono przydatność spektroskopii ramanowskiej dla niedestrukcyjnej charakterystyki materiałów biologicznych, np. badanie źródeł żywic i identyfikacja biodegradacji dzieł sztuki i obiektów archeologicznych. Zalety spektroskopii ramanowskiej w niedekstrukcyjnej analizie są powszechnie uznawane. Jednakże badania dowodzą także możliwości uzyskiwania informacji molekularnych o formach organicznych i nieorganicznych obecnych równocześnie w heterogenicznych próbkach, na braku wpływu wody i grupy hydroksylowej na rozproszenia ramanowskiego co likwiduje konieczność osuszania próbek oraz łatwość analizowania próbek o bardzo małych lub bardzo dużych rozmiarach albo nietypowych kształtach. W artykule przedstawiono kilka przykładów zastosowania spektroskopii ramanowskiej do charakterystyki biomateriałów i ochrony dziedzictwa kulturalnego. Studia przypadków dotyczyły następujących obszarów: malowidła ścienne i naskalne, tkanki ludzkie i zwierzęce oraz szczątki kości, tkaniny, żywice i kość słoniowa.
