Opis:
The three Belisarius campaigns to the west (to Africa in 533-534 and to Italy in 535-540 and 544-549) are the subject of this study. The basic problem of this dissertation limits itself into the questions: Why did each of these three campaigns of Belisarius present him more and more difficulties which in turn made him resign the position of the commander-in-chief during his second Italian campaign? The Introduction contains the outline of this study and it deals with the primary source i.e. Procopius’ works. In chapter first the author examines the attitude of the population in Africa and Italy (of Roman as well as barbarian origin) towards military and political operations of Belisarius. In chapter second he seeks an answer to the question what importance to the course of the campaigns had the relations of Belisarius with the emperor and his court, with the officers cadre and the soldiers’ masses. The matter under discussion in the third chapter are the provision and transport difficulties with which Belisarius struggled duffing his western campaigns. The closing chapter contains conclusions from the whole study.

Opis:
Determination of deformations parameters from CERGOP GPS observations campaigns are presented at the poster. The velocity vectors are determined for CERGOP stations participated in GPS observations campaigns in the period 1994-2005. In the period of 11 years, 7 GPS observation campaigns were executed. Good quality of observations and data processing create chance to determined precise value of velocity and deformations like main directions of deformations and elongation (distortion). Method used for computation of deformation was proposed by Altiner. Comparison of deformation parameter with a European stress model made by Jarosiński is also presented in the paper.

Opis:
The main objective of CERGOP-2/Environment Work Package was defined in the Project as "Monitoring the CEGRN by regular and systematic GPS measurement, satisfying the strict quality standards set by WP2". The main task in the course of the Project was the organization of the CEGRN epoch observation campaigns. Therefore the activies focused on the preparation and the careful realization of these measurements. Two CEGRN campaigns were carried out- CEGRN03 and CEGRN05 - in the same part of the year (in June) in order to minimize seasonal effects in the measurements. In both cases the CEGRN campaigns were overlanned with national campaigns (e.g. in Hungary the HGRN epoch campaigns) by which the scope and efficiency of data availability were greatly enhanced. An other task was to monitor the status of CEGRN. Due to the project support 25 new sites became part of CEGRN, Serbia as a new CEGRN Consortium member (not included in the Project) joined the campaigns in 2005 the first time.

Within the Central Europe Regional Geodynamics Project (CERGOP) for the establishment of a high precision reference frame CEGRN (Central European GPS Geodynamic Reference Network) eight GPS campaign solutions since 1994 are available for velocity estimation. They were used to compute preliminary station velocities in the ITRF2000. This paper reports not only on the results and some comparisons with former solutions published by the CERGOP group but also on the improved options available for velocity estimation with version 5.0 of Bernese GPS Software.

Kampanie społeczne mogą być efektywnym sposobem przekazywania informacji na temat problemów związanych z bezpieczeństwem pracy oraz stymulowania zmian w zachowaniu ludzi włączonych w proces pracy.
Public advertising campaigns are a way to prevent negative social phenomena. Campaigns persuade the public to behave in a socially acceptable way or to desist from undesirable behaviour. Public advertising campaigns can be an effective way of transferring information about OSH issues and of stimulating changes in peoples' behaviour.

The election campaigns in Poland have become oriented to the still more extent on fighting back the political opponents. Only seldom we can watch skirmishes about programmes and battles with the use of substantial arguments. Instead, we observe more and more mutual accusations, personal reproaches and attempts of slandering the opponent using unethical methods. The attitude of one politician to another assumed quite special features both on the level of verbal behaviour and their attitudes. Almost in every election campaign since the year 1989 the voters have had the occasions to observe the behaviours of politicians which were far from the moral standards and which significantly lowered the level of political culture in Poland. Since a few years rival discreditations, intrigues, announcing untrue information about opponents and creation of media facts have dominated during the election battles. Occurrences of such type are crucial for political alienation among the citizens and contribute to preservation of a negative picture of the politics itself as a sort of dishonest and immoral activity. Various methods of depreciation of opponents are still more and more willingly used. This paper will discuss selected behaviours of political competitors towards each other; also an attempt will be undertaken to assess those behaviours from the ethics’ point of view.

Modern democratic election campaigns in Slovakia have almost 20 years of tradition. The aim of the article is to familiarize the reader with brief analysis of legislative framework of all types of election campaigns (presidential elections, parliamentary elections, the European Parliament elec- tions, self-governing region elections, municipal elections and referendum) together with structural analysis of election costs in parliamentary elections in 2006. At the same time, we evaluated the ef- fectiveness of election costs from various points of view: costs of the election campaign for 1 obtained vote; costs of the election campaign for 1 obtained seat in the Parliament; overall income from the state budget for the political party in relation to means invested in a campaign.

The aim of the paper is to implement a new and so far unfamiliar theoretical perspective into Polish communication science. Although the functional theory of political discourse discussed here originated on the ground of American empiricism, it aspires to be perceived as an international theory which may be successfully applied in analyses of political messages in various countries. Thus, the authors of presented paper aim not only at transporting onto Polish humanities premises and theoretical presumptions but also at verifying their adequacy in Polish political stage based on com- parative analysis obtained from research performed by American and Israel scholars.
