    DB Indoš and Tanja Vrvilo — House of Extreme Music Theater work with material from the Croatian historical avant-garde scene in all their performances of exhausting, physical theater, which they approached through the Zagreb circle of zenithists, “through Kamov and Čerina as predecessors of the Futurists (but not the Marinettists), and their influence on the literary-revolutionary circle of rebellious youth. Some of them included August Cesarec, Đuka Cvijić, Zora Ruklić and members of their ‘Republic of Stenjevac’, members of the Zagreb group Zenit, the lyrics of a visionary film through the books of Ivan Martinac, concrete poetry by Josip Stošić and the silent art that we ‘shachtophonize’ for our parallel performance canon” (Vrvilo 2020). Their systematic work on the performance and reactualization of the neo/avant-garde can be defined, by using Roman Jakobson’s definition, by intersemiotic translations (cf. Munday, Ramos Pinto, Blakesley 2022: 9) into musical theater which, in their example, is based on manipulating sound objects/installations/sculptures with the cut-up technique of original texts into schachtophone scores (moving away from music notation to graphic notation) for schachtophone music, all through the vision of the performance of exhausting (physical) theater with Indoš’s constant dedication to Artaud’s theater of cruelty, the alchemical theater of pre-logic and pre-rationality, a theater that, as a magical ritual, can lead to the healing of society.

    In the article the author proposes to examine Simonides’ famous dictum promoting the link between poetry and painting as presented by Plutarch within his Moralia. Three main problems have been discussed:1. Plutarch’s opinion concerning the authorship of the saying,2. Are the Plutarchean passages the verbatim quotations of Simonides?,3. The meaning of the apophthegm. It seems that Plutarch favoured Simonides’ authorship of the saying. His treatment of the apophthegm in some places of his work as a common saying as well as the attribution of it to one from among the σοφοί do not contradict the Simonidean authorship. It highlights the widespread approval of the saying. We may assume that Plutarch came quite close to the verbatim quotation of Simonides although there are the discrepancies in the lectiones of the quotation. The serious obstacle preventing us from treating the Plutarchean citation as genuine Simonidean words is the fact that poetry is called ποιητική here which is completely unsuitable for the poets of the early period. Simonides in his famous saying about the relationship between the arts intended to highlight the importance of imitation in painters’ and poets’ art. Dio of Prusa additionally noticed the difference between the means and ways of imitation in both kinds of the arts. It does not seem, however, that also Simonides made them distinguishable and that Plutarch intended to emphasize this very aspect of the association of painting and poetry.

    The concept of dramaticality, re-emerged after Aristotle as a topic of rhetorical interest in the classification of narrative which extends beyond the forensic. The essential point of the Hellenistic grammarians' tripartite division of narrative was the category which comprises 'made-up events which nevertheless could have happened'. In Greek this category is often called plasma ("invention") or dramatikon. It seems to suggest that this type of narrative was a literarily elaborated and emotionally charged account of actions and characters invented by the writers, and approximated to our idea of fiction. Dramatically oriented presentation of plots was useful first of all to novelists of the Imperial period. The stress on producing a narrative sustained dramatical pattering and imagery, is also to be found in the epistolary and biographical genres of this time.

    This article explores the relationships and correlations between early Greek elegy (7th—5th c. BC) and the elegiac mood of a poem understood today as a nostalgic and melancholic attitude of the subject evoked in a poem. The known surviving ancient texts prove the thematic heterogeneity of the elegiac genre at its early stage of development, while this elegiac emotionality is by no means a distinctive feature of this particular poetical category within the archaic parental context even though it does occur in some works composed in distichs that are traditionally labeled as elegiac (e.g. works of Archilochus and Mimnermus). Elegiac attitude, within modern understanding of the term, is also to be fundin the melic poetry of early Greek poets (such as Sappho, Anacreon and Simonides of Ceos) which were, in fact, considered by ancient theoreticians as non elegiac as far as their genre was concerned. The attribution of the elegiac character, not linked genetically with any of genres, to one poetical category is thus a result of multilayered processes of cultural interaction and the reception of the early Greek literature rather than the substance of the genre.

    In last few years request of technical diagnostics increase, cause of radically change of object's rate standard. New adoption of achievement of microelectronics, computer technology, neural nets and artificial intelligence succor power of technical diagnostics efficiently. All of that, change diametrically ideas and performance of detection and inspection by technical diagnostics methods of object's state changes. It gives the possibility to inspect changes of state, location of damage and reducing of damage results.

    In the article the problem of optimization of the exploitation processes in transportation companies is presented. It analyzes the processes of operation modes and shows the important problems to be solved. The result of this analysis is division the exploitation process to particular processes, that gives more important problems exacting solutions. Optimization methods have been analyzed to improve the efficiency of transport processes. Computer techniques have been discussed in the maintenance of the means of transport.

    This article is a critical review of the most important modern interpretations of the Platonic postulate of expelling poets from the polis, formulated in two works of the thinker, the Republic and the Laws. The reflections presented in the article focus on two fundamental questions, namely the reasons behind Plato’s refusal to allow poets into his ideal state and, secondly, the aim he was going to attain by expelling artists from the community of citizens. To try to explain the reasons behind these statements, so embarrassing to present-day readers of Plato, involves considerations of Plato’s concept of the nature of poetry (art as flawed, defective and secondary reflection of the sensual world), as well as of ethical questions (art as a perfidious tool to facilitate malevolent designs towards human characters). Any investigation as to the intentions of the philosophers that preceded the formulation of the postulate concentrates thus inevitably on his vision of utopian realism. It further aims to provide sufficient arguments that Plato, oscillating in his presentation between authoritarian diagnosis and protreptic provocation, makes recipients redefine the mutual relationship between literature and philosophy.

    W artykule przedstawiono najwcześniejsze greckie sposoby myślenia o zbieraniu, zestawianiu i wyliczaniu w odniesieniu do literatury i jej funkcjonowania. Obecna od początków dziejów greckiej poezji skłonność do posługiwania się katalogami jako integralnymi częściami utworów, porządkującymi różne rzeczy, sprawy i zjawiska i ułatwiającymi ich zapamiętywanie, już w V w. p.n.e. znalazła wyraz w tworzeniu zbiorów (syllogai) poetyckich dokonań, które były układane według różnorakich kryteriów (tematycznych, gatunkowych, autorskich, funkcjonalnych). Towarzysząca zbieraniu utworów aksjologiczna postawa redaktorów syllogai wobec tych utworów doprowadziła w czasach hellenistycznych do powstania antologii, czyli wyborów dzieł uznanych za artystycznie najlepsze, a więc dostarczające odbiorcy przyjemności przede wszystkim estetycznej. Prześledzenie najwcześniejszych dziejów antologizowania pokazuje, że wszechobecne w życiu Greków zasady: użyteczności i przyjemności odgrywały znaczącą rolę w kształtowaniu się literackich sądów i gustów w starogreckiej kulturze wszystkich epok.
    This paper presents the earliest Greek ways of thinking about collecting, compiling and enumerating in relation to literature and its functioning. The tendency to use catalogues as integral parts of literary works that organise various objects, matters and phenomena, and that facilitate their remembering has been present since the dawn of Greek poetry. As far back as the 5th century BCE the tendency found its expression in the creation of collections (syllogai) of poetic works which were arranged according to various criteria such as topic, genre, author, or function. Collecting works was characterised by the axiological attitude of the editors of the syllogai towards these works, which in the Hellenistic times led to the creation of anthologies, that is selections of works considered artistically best, and thus providing the recipients with pleasure – primarily the aesthetic one. Examining the earliest history of anthologising demonstrates that the Greek principles of utility and pleasure played a significant role in the selective reading of literature and in shaping literary judgments, as well as tastes in the culture of ancient Greece of all epochs.
